Flyleaf - Treasure [Lyrics] 

I discovered this song when I was going through a hard time and having doubts about myself. It had me in a really bad mood but when I heard this song and really listened to the words I felt like God was telling me "You're mine. You're my treasure. I love you." It was so amazing. :)

I love how "Yeshua" is a play on "Yes" and "Joshua"

I got chills finding out she sang "Yeshua". The reason is that, this is the way Jesus' name was pronounced in Aramaic. The name is derived from the name "Yahoshua". It means God's salvation or something similar. If you haven't noticed these names seem familiar with the name "Joshua". It's because they are all different translations of the same name. It's amazing what you can learn from a Jewish coworker. Just a fun fact.

To God we are precious treasure because he loves us unconditionally. I miss Lacey Strum. I felt this was a Christian band like Skillet until she left. I still follow Flyleaf as a fan.

This song will always be with me. I can honestly say I'm in love with music, and it gives me very strong emotions. But this song is the only song that has made tears fall from my eyes. The only song that turned weeping into sobbing. Flyleaf won't be the same... I'll try to give Kristen a chance but, I connect with Lacy and her lyrics on such a personal level that can never be replaced.

This is a song, and songs mean different things to different people. That's why music is so special, it is able to connect to so many in a way that person NEEDS. To me, this song is about being saved. I am not a Christian, but I am trying to get closer to God. I believe after I make it through, I'll become a refined version of myself. I can see it being a love song as well; however, at this particular juncture in my life, I see it as about being saved and given a new lease on life.

All the members of the band are, reportedly, Christian. But, the band doesn't consider themselves a "Christian band" (certainly, though, there are Christian messages in their music, especially in the song "Beautiful Bride.") Sturm said, "if a Christian's a plumber, does that make him a "Christian plumber?" A band having members of faith doesn't make them more talented than other bands. But, it is exciting to see members of faith have such talent and give the great messages they do through it.

I just watched an interview and this song is about the day Lacey got engaged to Josh Sturm. They were dancing by a lake while the sun was setting and he was telling her a story (Can I tell you a story as I dance while the sun starts to bleed?) and later that night she was looking at her ring thinking,"Tonight I'll become the most dazzling precious treasure. I think Lacey's saying in this song that even though we'r just one person taking up a little blip of forever, god treasures us more then anything else. And yes, even though they dont come out and say (That I no of) Flyleaf is a christian band. Listen to some of theyr other songs and you can instantly tell.

Does it matter if they're christian or not? Their music is great. Lots of people listen to it and love it. If you look hard enough, you can find religious meaning in almost everything and anything. But that doesn't necessarily mean that you're right. Basically, I think everyone should just shut up and enjoy the music.

Lyrics in this song suggest several references to Christianity, Jesus Christ, and the word of God.Lyrics like, " Just look at what he's done, how he's laying down his life" it's an obvious reference to the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for humanity. "Yeshua" translated from Hebrew is Jesus. This song is very apparently a praise/worship song directly thanking God for the sacrifice of his son. Great, great song.

Old comment, but its on the top comments so I think that makes it acceptable for me to reply. Some songs have meanings intentionally placed, some books do too. Example Their Eyes Were Watching God. That book had the fewest christian morals and beliefs I have read in a assigned book, yet it had more Biblical Allusions then any book I had read. The Writer was not religious, she was actually quite the opposite, but her book still intentionally had these things.
