Having trouble binding your Flysky transmitter with your Flysky airplane receiver? Here are two quick solutions you can try! In this video I use the FS-iA6 receiver and FS-i6 transmitter, but this will apply to many different types.

Hi Adam, I have this Rx and I'm having trouble powering it. The only cable that delivers power from my ESC is labelled "roll", the rest are single control wires (roll has 3 wires). I can get the Rx to power on and flash red if I plug "roll" into the B/VCC pins. I have tried plugging "roll" into the rest of the ports but no lights. Obviously I can't bind this way because I can't use the B/VCC port for the binding plug.... Also unsure how I'm supposed to power the Rx when using my drone, as from my drones ESC I only have the "roll" delivering power.... How are you managing to provide power to the Rx by plugging into channel 3? Any help you could give would be much appreciated, cheers!

Im just getting back into RC planes and I am excited to get up in the air again. Thanks for your very informative videos. I am having an issue withe setting up a Byme-A-V2 stabilizer with my FSi6X. Before I installed my stabilizer ,the radio bound perfect with no issues. When I set it up with the radio and stabilizer I get response from the radio and will not make any servo move. Is there something you can recommend? Am I not following a certain sequence to get the radio to communicate while the stabilizer in plugged in? The stabilizer is plugged in exactly how it should be. Do I need to go back in the radio and rebind the plane ? Maybe delete the plane all together and start over renaming it?. This is the first plane on the radio. Any help would be appreciated ,thanks.

My flysky FSI6 x does not bind. Is it a very cheap low quality equipment? Should I throw it ?

Maybe you can help me. After not playing with my Chinese hydraulic loader for about 6 months I recharged my 3S lipo battery along with replacement the 4 AA batteries in my Flysky i6S radio. After turning on the radio and plugging in my battery the vehicle rotating beacon starts but the radio screen shows no power to the RX and therefore it doesn’t start ( there’s no on/off switch on the model to activate). Not sure why. Do I need to rebind? Why would I “loose” the bind just after inactivity? Any thoughts on what to do?

Have a FS T4B that did not bind to a GR3e. Ended up to be the voltage regulator on one of the PC boards inside the T4B remote. Tested the regulator, was only getting ±1 volt on the output. Replaced it and BAM, binding done and working.

So I'm still having trouble. I got it to work once but forgot to take off the jumper and now it won't bind. Both transmitter and receiver both say binding forever.

I'm in need of some advice. I'm trying to bind to an FS-iA6B or FS-R6B but no luck with either. The receiver and transmitter just sit there on their binding screen without doing anything. I've tried: Moving the transmitter away Changing the order in which I switch them on Making a new bind plug Putting the receiver antennas at 90 degrees to eachother Is it possible that the issue is my receiver power source? I'm using this for a robot wars robot so am using a Bristol Bot Builders ant-weight dual ESC, but it supplies a constant 5V like any other ESC. I'm at a loss and this wireless do-hickery melts my brain so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I had to buy a new transmitter/controller for my Eclipse 1M Rage RC sailboat because I damaged the first one. I have had no luck binding. The manual says just push the binding button several times after turning on transmitter followed by receiver. I have tried moving the sailboat to a different location and have tried binding from different distances. The receiver LED is suppose to stay solid when bound but it just keeps blinking. Help please!

I have a binding problem with my flysky fs-i6 transmitter binding with wltoys f949s receiver I have set the transmitter AFHDS and switch off put the battery in the receiver and it flashes twice and then stops then 2and stops and on like that press the bind button and the transmitter on switch the receiver carries on flashing as before switch off transmitter switch back on but still carries on flashing as before. I hope you can help as running out of ideas.

I got a different problem. It binds, but when you leave it like a day then it just forgets my transmitter and i have to bind it again. Do i have to keep the bind plug on, when i dont use it or what is the problem?(i got the fs-ia6 and the fs-ia6b)

Thanks mate, why would it unbind? I connected it up out the box already bound, everything worked perfectly and then i powered down and put the airplane away (have not flown or tested since) but the next time I went to start up that model it was inbound and would not bind again?

I just got an old machine 3.0 with an fs-16 it has been out of use for a while do I have to rebind it? It doesn't seem to want to bind automatically?

Adam, or anyone else for that matter, I was hoping someone could help me with a problem with 4 servos on on a rover I printed. Actually only 2 of the servos have the problem and the other 2 so far work ok. Anyway when I connect all of the servos 2 of them just start rotating without stopping. If I just connect one of these 2 with no others it functions as it should, if I add another the both start rotating without stopping. I have read everything I could find regarding this and cannot come up with any fix and these are new servos. If you could give me any idea as to what to try I will be forever grateful. I am using a FS-I6X transmitter with a FS-I6AB receiver. If any more info is needed please let me know.

How do we exactly identify in terms of program that the connection between receiver and transmitter got lost? I mean I have the connection right now and if by any chance the connection get lost due to low battery then the robot keeps on moving and we want to avoid that by identifying the connection got lost and priorities stopping the robot.

Hi Adam hope you are good! I built a DIY plane and bind successfully combo TX FS-T4B & FS-R6B it worked everything before. Stayed away untouched for 3 months and now combo is bound but servos not working. Throttle (ch3) is fine but not others. Tried swoop receiver got the same. I don't have any more clues to sort this out. Do you have any idea of what can I try? Thanks and keep safe!

I'm on FlySky FS-I6 TX, FlySky FS-IA6 RX, and an Mtroniks Viper Marine 25 ESC. I plug the bind plug into the bind channel on the receiver, then give it power from the ESC. The red light flashes quickly. I hold the bind button on my transmitter, and the RX light flashes slower. But the TX won't say "RXbind OK". Nothing will work. If you have any advice, I'd be greatly appreciative! Thanks!!!! EDIT: I'm a complete moron. I forgot to charge the battery. I'd delete this comment to spare me the embarrassment but I'll leave it here in case anyone else learns from my mistake.

Hei FPV flayers, i get my self a Tyro 99 and i am finish with the building but my Problem is that i try to bind my FS-I6 Radio to a FS-A8S reciver, since 2 days i try out lot of tips but nothing realy worked, for some reason i think that i have to set up my Radio befor binding?!? When i turn on the Radio after binding i´ve got a stady red light, like it would be bind but on my radio no RX Battery ore other show up that thay kommunikate with each other. What would you say, hope to get flying as soon as posible, last month i lost my wizzard X220, and now this struggls, ps sorry for my english i am from austria.

Need some advice: I basically have the "FlySky FS-i6x" transmitter and receiver and I'm using the "Osprey 22" now the plane is bind and fly, and I'm installing the receiver onto the plane. I don't know what's missing as my transmitter isn't seeing the receiver. Does the receiver need power going to it as well I'm kind of lost and cannot find an answer anywhere There isn't any lights visible on the receiver also, nothing flashing. Can you recommend what cord is needed to power it?

Hi! Are you still having trouble? Yes, the esc needs 5v power, usually from the ESC (ESC with BEC 5v output servo connector).

Hey Adam I'm just going to go ahead and drop this here. For those of you that are having trouble binding the FlySky FS i6x just bind it like normal and if you see that it's not binding just let it stay there for a long time it worked for me.

@@RCwithAdam1 thats what she said 😆😆😆 🤘 hey Adam if you have a moment, I have the tinyhawk race. I'm connecting a fli14+ (flysky ibus) rx to it and selected the UART port accordingly. I selected serial/spektrum/ etc and IBUS on the configuration. I saved. I also made sure my radio (fsi6x) is on ibus but I'm not getting any response although my rx is bound to the radio. I did everything I could think of even switched to sbus and still nothing. Upon closer examination of the quads board I notice it says SBUS next to where I soldered the 3 wires (and I made 100% sure they are in the correct pads) according to a video here showing how to install a crossfire. Does this mean this quad does not accept ibus?

@@brian_mcnulty actually, I had a new radio and tried to bind and it never bound. Not sure what happened but I ended up buying a flysky paladin pl18. However, for this case stated above I waited near 20 minutes at least. If it doesnt work try moving closer or away from the reciever. Good luck.

@@brian_mcnulty I waited for a long time and got nothing but I hooked up power and ground to my bench power supply and supplies a constant 5 volts and then I also replaced the bind key with just a female to female jumper and I don't know which of the two (I suspect the jumper) fixed the issue. I know this is a lil late but maybe it'll help someone else out in the future.

Hi! As long as the receiver uses AFHDS flysky protocol, yes. The cheapest ones are the ones made for ground vehicles ~$9.

This reply might be a bit late but I noticed the same thing, most forums said "It is reporting transmission errors" "At low % should indicate if you plane is in range and has good signal, at high % it is beginning to lose signal."

Im not sure if you can help but ny flysky gt3b loses intermittently loses bind. Sometimes it works for a few seconds the loses bind again.

Do I need that extra blue esc you were using to power on the receiver? Or could I use that small black and white cable and connect it to a battery to power on the receiver?

Hi! The receiver needs a constant 5 volts to operate, and this ESC is made to both power the rx and receive throttle signals from the rx (it's called an ESC with a Battery Eliminator Circuit and this setup is very common). So most of the time you will need to power the rx through the ESC, UNLESS you choose to use stand-alone BEC to power the rx separately.

Do all flysky receivers need the binding cord to bind? My receiver is so small idk if it’s even possible

No, some of them (like the fli14+) use a tiny bind button. Hold the button down, plug in the battery then release it, and it will continue blinking if it is in binding mode.

Well I thought it did. When I hold the button and plug the battery up a green light stays on. No flash. If I just plug it up without holding the button the green light comes on. Is this in bind mode even if it doesn’t blink

I discovered my problem a week ago. My receiver wouldn't bind also. After a long time I (10 attempts with 3 different receivers) I find out what my problem was. If you want to bind a receiver be sure that (in system, RX setup) the 'AFDHS' is ON. This tells you if the receiver is 'speaking' with the transmitter two ways.

@@swaroopr2424 hmmm ive tried several times and the rx works with the tx but i have recently lost two planes to "raido malfunction " and i dont know if this was the cause. I have another exact rx and it does show the battery level....🤷‍♂️

RCwithAdam all 3 I have tried are the flysky FS-GR3F. The one that comes with the controller. I bought a handful of the same one to use on each of my vehicles. It worked for 2 other cars but this one just won’t bind.

I am trying to bind a fly sky fS-IA6 receiver. The problem is that the LED indicator lights on the receiver do not come on to show it is in the bind mode. The bind plug is correctly installed and the receiver has power.

Sounds like a short circuit or one of the components is defective. Not sure about a fix for that.

I have an interesting case with my FS-i6 radio with the 10 channel firmware hack. I am using a iA10 receiver. If I move the receiver, e.g. from one model to another then bind to the model of interest it binds OK as on the display but the Radio doesn't display the receiver battery status voltage, almost as if it's not bound. It's weird because I am still able to control the model however on one the models it refused to work in this manner. Ended up resetting it and creating a new profile. It's like the receiver has left over code in it not allowing it to work properly with a different model. If I create a new profile it seems to always bind and show the receiver status fine. I could just buy several receivers and dedicate each to a model to solve the hassle but it is bugging the heck out me as to why. If anyone has an answer please comment.

Hello I want to connect IA6 Receiver with Flysky CT6B but it's not binding. What shall I do . I'm stuck 😐😐😐

Hi! Unfortunately, the iA6 is not compatible with the CT6B. You will need a rx with the older AFHDS protocol. Check out this handy chart rc.305.cz/storage/FlySky_Tx_Rx_compatibility_table.pdf

I am able to bind without any problems. But when I plug a servo into my receiver, it doesn't work. I've plugged a servo into all of the channels and have tried every stick movement and switch on my transmitter, but the servo does nothing. Any help? I don't have an ESC yet, so I am plugging the battery directly into my receiver

Hi! Make sure the "output mode" is set to PWM. Let me know if this helps.

Yes. Go into the System Settings menu, then Receiver settings, then Output Mode.

Hey, I've tried all these different methods with the same RX + TX combo but it stays on the "RX BINDING...." I've tried the bind plug in/out first and done all these different types of connections but doesn't pass the RX Binding... screen. Thanks

Hey! I need hel with my rc plane. I have a flysky fs i6 transmitter, and a r8ef radiolink receiver and a fs-8as mini receiver. And i just cant manage to bind anything!! I dont know what to do

Hi! Sorry for the delayed reply. It looks like the r8ef receiver uses radiolink's FHSS protocol, and is not compatible with flysky's AFHDS 2A protocol. Make sure the FS-A8S is in the correct mode, either sbus or ibus.

Hi! Are you connecting the 2s lipo directly to the receiver? Or are you using an ESC with a 5v BEC?

Hi! No. Only once for each model profile. After that, the rx and tx will automatically detect each other when powered on.

Hi Adam. Thanks for your helpful videos. I use a FlySky FS T6 transmitter with the FS R6B receiver on my RC Victoria class sailboat. After 2 to 3 hours of flawless service the communication link fails and the receiver freezes the servos in the last sent position. I have tried the following solutions but the loss of control continues: 1. Upgraded batteries in both Rx an TX from Costco discount ones to new duracells. 2. Replaced the Rx with brand new FS R6B. 3. Rebooting the Rx by powering off and on restores the communication and it works well for at least an hour. Batteries are still good. It would appear that the TX is crapping out for some reason. Fortunately I'm not flying an expensive plane. Have you heard of anyone else experiencing this kind of failure? Can the TX overheat and shut down? I have purchased a new FS I6x with the included receiver as I want to setup a fail-safe protocol and monitor the RX battery level. I plan on selling the and FS T6 and Rx but would not feel right if someone bought it and crashed an airplane or helicopter! Thanks for your insight! Russ Reid Email: Russ.Donna.Reid@gmail.com

@@naimbenzaid9553 After looking at the V4's manual, it is not compatible with a PWM receiver (which is the only protocol that the iA6 uses). You'll need a rx that can use PPM or a serial protocol. The FS-iA6B rx could work, for example.

Got my reciever 2 days ago.since I don't have any brushless motors/esc I decided to test it with my custom rc car.connected 2 brushed esc and checked.everything worked fine.after that I attached the cover.after that the fsi6 is not binding.after several checks for the circuits/restarting transmitter,changing channel pins I realised that I didn't connected the binding cable😂

Aways when I plug the receiver in it goes into bind mode and no matter if the binding cable is plugged in or not. If If bind it than the light flashes slowly also after removing the bind cable

i have an fsi6x and thought maybe the receiver i had was defectives and so i bought a second RX turns out my transmitter was just dead and crap :| im never buying anything flysky those transmitters suck
