Thank you for the video; I recently acquired one of these PEQ-15 replicas in an Amazon restock shop (no case) and from this video deduced that it’s probably an Element, down to the reversed battery setup. I actually popped the thing open and resoldered the battery terminals to make it fit correctly, as it wasn’t getting a good connection for the battery or the main laser. The video was a lot of help!
Why is everybody so butt hurt about putting a replica peq on a real rifle. I don't plan on having NVG's so who cares. I just want one for looks and a place holder. I just like the look for my mod 0
The FMA is one way brighter I have two and yes on REAL AR's. One I have is just as bright as my Surefire Scout and it is a real Surefire. This guy hates on the FMA but it is way better dosen't mention how way brighter the FMA is
OK, I don't have sound and RU-vid subtitles are a mess as usual... So who wins in term of lumen power and durability ? Element or FMA ? That's the only reason why I hesitate. I want to get the one that has the stronger light. Thank you for the video !!
FMA's light is WELL beyond that of the Element peq. It looks like its about 250-300 Lumens while the Element's light looks about 100-150. Light matters most imho...
Cody McDonald that's insane to even consider that. An since you are. The $4500-5500 or so for the real pvs an the real peq is out of your price range to think of putting airsoft on any rifle
I bought one of these and took it on deployment to Afghanistan and it was amazing! Always held zero and took whatever I through at it!........ Said no one ever!
@Steve Qi Truthfully it's nothing against these units themselves, but in the end, most people want something that performs like a $1000 piece but only costs 80 bucks. Which is why you'll never hear what I said in my original post. You get what you pay for. If you're gonna run it hard and train with it, then when the balloon goes up, use it to defend yourself, Spend the money. But If you want something that "looks cool" but is mostly a wall hanger and something you can show off to your friends that don't know anything about guns at all and they think you have cool expensive stuff. Then these are great. But I've learned my lesson and you can't spend 1/10th the money and expect 10 times the quality. Buy once cry once.
Yea people think just as long as they train enough they can be just as good and really they’re mostly right but they don’t consider the fact that if the thing straight up is not reliable what’s the point on all that training so yes training ultimately is the best thing you can do but reliable equipment is also a factor
Plus now lookin at it it’s air soft so yeah go ahead and by the 80$ unit I’m just pointing out to those who think this might make a great permanent attachment to real fire arms they are wrong
You and the rest of meal team 6 are never going to be in a situation where it will ever take the abuse of being handled by a grunt for years. These are perfectly fine for civilian use.
I've been using a Sightmark Lopro Green Laser Designator, and it's served me very well - but only offers a really nice green laser. I'm looking into a few IR capable devices right now, but the temptation to just buy a VFC PEQ-15 or something similar has always been there. Huh.
***** Yes, I'm familiar with the Solomonensis and InvisibleSight ATPIAL and DBAL units, as well as the G&P DBAL. I was simply saying that I'm frequently tempted to buy a VFC PEQ-15 just for that nostalgia.
what can you recommend on the two peq15 replica? VFC or this Element? I own two VFC peq15 replica and one is already functioning weird. how this element holdin up? any feedback? planning to purchase one soon by the way nice video comparison with the FMA. hope you can make one vs the VFCs
Great review man, but you didn't plug in the provided pressure pad, and see if the laser is a toggle on/off switch like the fma (deal breaker for me personally, too dangerous) or if its a momentary switch like the vfc. I own the vfc version, I've never had any problems with it, price is a bit steep though.
How does this compare to the VFC PEQ-15? I know this the LA-PEQ15 and the VFC is the AN-PEQ15, but would like to hear your thoughts since it seems like you own both.
to ME the element is lacking in looks you can see the seam between the two halves to make the body. ALSO imho (in my humble opinion) people think the element looks better because its bigger. It's standard human nature to want a bigger piece.
do you need an extra mounting kit on these or do they just clip on? None of these videos actually show how they are mounted and what the mounting is actually like..
The purpose of a light it to mainly blind your target. If i did airsoft if use either but im lookin to make my gun perty and beat shit up so ill do the fma.
Re: Crooked mount... There is no way to fix crap like that (easily). Makes you wonder about quality of switches, internals if the Chinese let such obvious flaws out the door. Not a minor flaw either... if it's crooked is going to affect where laser(s) point. I was reading some info from a guy who was importing Clone Scopes.. when he ran the numbers REJECT rate was 75%. He said while BOX was marked "Inspected" it was quite obvious NOTHING was.
PLEASE HELP I have the element PEQ and how did you straighten it out? On my rifle the right side (light side) is a bit elevted and dose not lay as flat as I would like it to be. Let me know Thank you
Oh I have one of those peqs myself and it uses Cr123a batteries and those batteries are very much the standard battery for most air soft attachments as well as real steel attachments
Jonathan Ford I've seen some people run them on real AR'S . Mostly for looks. The element if I'm not mistaken, has another setting if you remove the blue screw. It's also supposed to have a ir illuminator. The flashlight cap is a ir cap. Not sure how good they will work though. Thought about getting one and trying it for hog hunting, but didn't want to waste money on something that's actually a toy. If you want a good green laser, laserlyte cm-15 Is a good one. I just got 2 off eBay. You can actually see the beam during low light. At night it's really bright. The beam goes on forever. If you're looking for an IR illuminator I use a Surefire with the Illuminator cap. And I also use the Insight m3x with an Illuminator cap. They don't make the laserlyte cm15 or the Insight m3x long gun light anymore, but you can find them on eBay. Hope this helps, good luck
fma seems better to me. flashlight is much better and it has strobe. Who gives a damn if the covers sre plasticy feeling? its the funtion that matters. FMA all the way
I have recently bought the FMA. The up and down adjustment works, however the left to right doesn’t or so it seems - I’m using the nob on the right angled side by following the manual. Is this right? Anyway to fix this? Edit: I have the FMA ‘AN’ PEQ15 where there is a working IR laser also. But still it’s the same product pretty much. Didn’t know if the adjusters have issues in these also
Pretty much all of the replica PEQ-15s have adjustment issues. There have been guides posted on some of the airsoft forums, so you might try searching for one of those.
シTheCødyMavrick2.0ツ real versions of these PEQ-15’s have infrared capabilities, meaning they emit and laser which is invisible to the naked eye. They’re used to aid in aiming the weapon when under night vision since it is notoriously difficult to use your day optic while using night vision. The infrared laser lights up like beam under NOD’s making it significantly easier to aim.
Lack of zeroing is a deal breaker. Unless that's done by the screws. However I'll buy something functional rather than decorative as it's for a crossbow.
Re: : PEQ-15 and other models that won't turn on, or have died. Here's the deal.. Some good stuff comes from China, but AIRSOFT crap is exactly that, especially on items that are NOT rated for use on REAL FIREARMS. (You AIRSOFT guys need to get behind AIRSOFT items being used on REAL FIREARMS vs getting abusive when people ask such.) On AIRSOFT stuff, it gets the same respect as TOYS for 4 year olds being assembled, if AIRSOFT stuff was firearm rated you'd see stuff being more durable and being made to a higher standard... there would be some effort put into quality control. The mindset is "We make lots fast, fill up shipping container fast as possible, No time to check for bad, we don't care as buyer pays return shipping cost on defective stuff.. big ha-ha :-)" As a example of ZERO QUALITY CONTROL, as a example what kind of moron would install a mount that was cast crooked as shown on the replica PEQ on the right ? All those mounts should have been rejected, and thrown in scrap metal bin, PERIOD. Options: 1: Take unit apart and inspect the soldering. Hope it's just a bad solder. 2: Return to vendor. 3: If vendor won't work with you... Via PayPal you have 180-days to force a exchange / get your money back. Note that PayPal wants YOU to return JUNK to vendor, You pay for return shipping. (I have a problem with that on DEFECTIVE ITEMS, I think seller should pay return shipping if they want the junk back... but good luck on that.) 4: If PayPal, /seller /vendor etc jerks you around do a CHARGE BACK via your Credit card. 5: Related.. when using a credit card if item is stated as having a warranty alot of time warranty period is increased /doubled.... and some have provisions to have the item repaired.. If item to repair exceeds worth = instant refund.
If you are looking into a good Peq 15 I would recommend the fma la5-c! Remember to zero it parallel to you Point of impact and not to your sight! You should really mod the one you finally buy no matter wich it is! I would personally buy the la5-c as stated!
Anyone of you guys will think this would hold up on a real riffle? Dont wsnt function just for looks since I dont run NV and want it for cloning on my block 2
MaceGaming53 nah thats a fake one, I mean a real peq15, obviously you cant get the ones the military uses, but they just came out with a civilian version.
+ZzBiohazzardzZ I used the real deal for years...I promise you they aren't that cool. Completely useless if you don't actually have any night vision. The red vis laser is very weak, and is only good in low light as well. The real deal is expensive because it is a high output laser in a small, rugged case which holds a very accurate zero even after taking a beating. Real deal also has an IR floodlight instead of a flashlight.
@@e.alexander1869 Soo if I put the fma on my AR shooting 556, it won't fuck up the laser or light? Because after all it is on the side top or bottom!!! Sooo how would it break!???
