Yes the maiden flight of my new Fms Kingfisher, filmed last Sunday, lovely plane with just a few little niggles that were soon ironed out!! A very nice looking and fun to fly plane, with the usual Fms quality.
Exactly the sort of plane I would have bought if I had my time again. Had to laugh about the dog walker comment, remember those days well! Never stop the RC!
The Kingfisher is awesome it has nothing you do not want to love, and comes with all the extras - floats and skids, it can do anything you want it to do - I love it , I think it is better than the Tundra, It really does not need the Reflex - I still have it in mine and I guess it helps with Windy flying conditions but not needed , easy lights doing what they do (nice), the Kingfisher makes for a great camera platform it can carry everything I throw onto it with no issues - even those Bricks (Runcam 2's) - Congratulations on the maiden flight, hope you get to love it as much as i do...
Ian I've heard good things about that one. We have been flying some new FMS planes with that Reflex gyro. It does well in some for sure. I'll have to try a Kingfisher at some point. Nice flying man...great maiden and great filming by Cheryl! On the connector pins/blocks, if it is an older mold (The Kingfisher is) it would take a new mold ($50,000) to make provisions for the pin block, wires etc., so they will leave older models the way they are, but newer ones may have them. You guys are still in our thoughts and prayers, and hope you are feeling better.
I actually prefer SAFE and AS3X over the Reflex Optimised and Stabilised system, I find the Reflex does more to take control of the plane of you!! The Kingfisher is very nice and flies well, thanks for watching and commenting Adam 😀👍
Well flown & explained Ian & Cheryl. Love the reflex! Yes a bit of a pain with the wing connections each time you fly but it is priced that way as Adam had mentioned. I saw it here on sale for around UK180. Great when you get the various landing gear. ✔️✔️✔️
Hi Geof they come with a little charging board that plugs into to a usb port and all charge together!! They are called Easylights and I bought them off Ebay 😀👍

Hi Michael, I think I bought the Easy lights of Banggood or Ebay, but I'm sure you will be able to get them of Hobbyking now they have a UK warehouse again!! It's a great plane and very nice to fly!! Thanks for watching and commenting 😀👍
I agree about the wing connectors, but then it will be more expensive, but I will happily pay a bit more, instead of fiddeling with wires through a small hole
What worries me Ruudy is I have to store and transport the plane with the wings off and repeatedly have to attach and disconnect the wing wires will cause bad connections!! Thanks for watching and commenting 😀👍
