Second flight of the morning session on 26 March 2022 - the FMS Kingfisher - I needed to fine tune the Flap/Elevator mix , after some minor adjustment I now have it just right.(FOR ME)
Flap/ Elevator Mix (on Spektrum DX9)
Please note that on my Spektrum a Negative number is "UP" and a Positive number is "DOWN"
Flaps up -100%/Elevator 0%
Take-off Flaps -50%/Elevator 25%
Landing Flaps 25%/Elevator 35%

Very Nice Martyn...looks like you have her dialed in! That landing was a greaser! I enjoyed the multiple views. I need to fly a Kingfisher...

Hi Adam - yes this Kingfisher is sorted - they really are nice to fly - you do need to get one / fly one...

Hi Martyn, I recently got a FMS kingfisher I am still very much a novice in the hobby so thanks very much for sharing your flaps and elevator correction settings gives me a very good starting point for me on the flaps. I was going to maiden her over this coming weekend now for the BIG BUT I had fitted a 6ch Lemon RX and when I was setting the control surface throws up a couple of weeks ago I had the odd few glitches on the ailerons bank full right I put it down at the time to the transmitter being too close to the lemon RX and swamping it with too much signal. After watching your Lancaster videos I took her outside did a range check that seemed to be fine, so I placed her a good 10 metres away from my DX8e transmitter and sat down and waited in less than 15 minutes I had 2 glitches so the only thing that the Lemon RX is going to be put in is the bin, I will now be getting a AR620 for her. I am very sorry about your Lancaster but thanks for sharing the video about it you may have saved me having a real bad crash through no fault of my own. Maybe one day someone will bring out a scale Lancaster foamy which flies at scale speed we can only hope on that. Steve

Hi Steve, personally, I think you did the right thing, I binned my Lemon Rxs, although some people say they are fine, but I would not use one ever again, if you want an RX with stability get the AR630, most if my RX are now AR410, 620 or 630... better safe than sorry, you are going to love the Kingfisher, just be careful when using flap, infact I would suggest you do not use the at all until you are comfortable in handling it, it does not really need them for normal flying,...as for the Lancaster, well I think we might see one flying on my channel once more if not 2022 then definitely 2023...good luck with the Kingfisher.

@@FlankerTanker Thanks for that info will follow your advice on the flaps, since the kingfisher has the FMS reflex system then I will be getting the AR620

one of the better behaved ones you have! and to selling off some, honestly if they're just going to sit there they really don't have all that much value do they? i didn't realize those tables had wheels and could be moved! i was thinking they were like the shooting bench at the range i go to fixed in place!

yes some roll them out and stand on the grass but we have all been asked to keep them at the back of the wheel slab so we are standing on the path - the wheels are so they can be moved for repairs and special events
