Rich, I know you're really good at these adjustments (as is shown by your change in the CG), but I ran across a video by Model AV8R where he talked about the research he did to get a corrected CG on this beautiful bird.

Love mine, I wish I could get a replacement metal wire for the landing gear instead of having to buy the whole set, mine needs a new wire only, it broke right where the axle had a groove in it, Nice Demo Rich 👍

I owned this plane and is my daily weekender TBH. I can fly her slow and low, cruiser, or all out aerobatic and does anything I throw at her. Only thing I would wish it could do is have unlimited vertical. Not a deal breaker for me as it's not made to 3D but just to be able to climb forever is nice to have LOL. great flying and yes I agree that when you takeoff it's all right rudder until she's in the air. Even I get caught by it on the grass runway in our field. Thanks for the video looked great and great flying. Tumble away Rich.

It just has a lot of wing and is high lift, It lands very slowly so you just have to get the speed right:)

Don't know about this Pitts v2 because of the landing gear with all the weight of the 6s battery brick how many landings before the landing gear gives out ? She's a landing bouncer for sure.

I have over 15 flights on mine on grass runway and so far the landing gear has no issues, thank God. I do bring her in a little hot and bleed speed low to the ground.

It appears to have a great flight time on a 4000 battery. Nice flying Rich. It's a smooth and agile aircraft. A biplane was my first, so I'm partial. I wish FMS made a blue or white one as well. Nice filming. AirHammer out!!

Blue would be harder to see. The red or white is easier to see:)

@@RCINFORMER sorry about that Rich, I should've said, dark blue w/white stripes. The old white version I liked well, but it needed blue or red stripes. Not a fan of red.

I'm flying mine with 6S 5000mah and get about 12 mins flight time on slow wind days. They didnt have 4000mah at my local shop so I picked up the 5000mah.

If you remove the stock hard wheels/tires and use Dave Browns, Dubro lite foam wheels or Great Planes lite foam wheels the Pitts will glue to the paved runway without any issues. But I guess you know this already.

I'm mostly flying off grass, so the stock wheels are good for that

You did great Rich! It looks way different on a runway than grass. Does it need more rudder than the stock settings on a runway?

Not really, its just that there is more friction between the main gear tires and the pavement , so they grab a bit more with yaw inputs, so you got to stay on top of the rudder a bit more on pavement. On grass, they slide more and a bit and rudder input does not need to be as speedy:) Hope that makes sense?

It blows the doors off the V1! it s a almost a totally new airplane, assembles fast & flys great! Fit and finish is outstanding:)

This is the best plane I own at the moment, did have same issue as @dueceswildRC but there is a self fix for it on rcgroups, I havent had a issue since completing that fix. Fantastic Plane though.

Which Pitts is easier to fly? This one or the 850mm?

Totally different aircraft-depends on the conditions and your experience level. The smaller ones are great but they don’t handle the wind very well where is the larger aircraft will cope with the wind a lot better but obviously lands heavier-so it really does come down to experience and conditions:)
