Have you checked the temp with the lights running in the canopy? i am planning on doing the same with mine here soon, but i think im going to have it rest on the tank's glass.

Not with a heat gun.. I have by hand but adding vents to the top and black screen is a easy solution

Nice Vid as always CJ! Why not drop the height of the lights? You’ll still have spill over but significantly less than being so high.

@@CJSAQUARIUMS I have 2 grows and 1 glow and the same issue as you. The only thing is that I would love the light of the front grow to come in at an angle

Man I thought about doing that. But I couldn’t find 6 ft strips. I looked up custom acrylic and it was gonna cost me well over $400 to make it. I 💯 would have done your method if I had a shorter tank. Maybe I’ll look again for 6ft ones now lol

They exist but the bigger ones are for houses just need to paint them… definitely a cheap fix and with more patience can look 100% professional. Go for it 💯
