Classic Tetris Monthly is a series of monthly #Nintendo #Tetris tournaments, started by founding mother fridaywitch in December 2017, and resurrected by vandweller in October 2018. Nowadays, it's become the largest NES Tetris #Tournament expanding to seven events: The Masters Event, the Challengers Circuit, the Futures Circuit, the Hopefuls Circuit, the Community Tournament, Tetris Deathmatch and Monday Night Chasedown!

Is it legal during competition to have another person sitting next to you and calling out the opponent’s scores so you know where the game is standing? (So you don’t have to take your eyes off your own game.)

Yeah Alex wanted to practice his endgame so he started from level 154 then made it all the way to rebirth and played a little longer. It was more a proof of concept that rebirth was possible so the score doesn't exactly count, definitely cool however and still very impressive
