Many of your cuttings will dry out as a result of not having consistent moisture. The Fogponic machine will keep a constant amount of moisture by ionizing the H2O molecule. fogger system is better than the misting heads as they get clogged so easily and then you have dead spots in your system, i will have to try the fogger system. Makes good sense. Where did you get the foggers at?

The airstones in the tubs will be doing more to root the cuttings than the fog. As the air bubbles buest at the surface they throw water droplets at the stems. Try a side by side with just fog and just airstones and see which one roots faster ;)

not exactly true.. the bubbles from the air-stone will not cover the area surface required to moisten all the cuttings. If you have two foggers it does an excellent job.I have used misting systems, as well as fogging systems and the fog aeroponics is way superior. I was replacing misting heads every week due to fine debris clogging them and there were too many dead spots. I placed fine mess filters over the pumps in an attempt to keep the water cleaner. The fog ionizers just work better for me. But, if your system works, great!

@@grandmastermicochero If you were placing mesh filters over the pumps it sounds like you were using low pressure (sprinklerponics) which has coverage issues because it doesnt create mist. If the tote in the video wasnt filled with water and didnt have the airstones, the fog alone wouldnt get the cuttings to. root.

@@atomizer2665 the mesh is to filter out any debris that may clog the spray heads. These little devices are so easy to clog from the tiniest dirt particles. Airstones/pump are only good for driving O2 through the system which the newly formed roots require. The spray heads will also help increase Oxygen. Air stones alone WILL NOT create enough bubbles to cover the cuttings. Been there, done that. We have tried every method of advanced rooting propagation. However, if your method works for you, then continue to do it,, If it works, please post a video and its demonstration ok ? thanks Atom-izer :) good discussion.

How do you keep the fogger from raising the temperature too much?

i keep the water level higher. The water is about 6 inches from the top, plus my greenhouse is constant 70F. i keep a thermometer attached to a string that just pull out anytime to check ,, Never had high water temps as a problem.

@@marcelinanoss8825 Do you still do this only 6 inches from the top? In the propagating Hibiscus and Hydrangea videos, there was a lot of stem below the collars. Almost 3 inches. So that means there's only about 3 inches between the water and the end of the cutting, yes?
