I hate to admit it, but I was kinda turned on by the sensual slow motion painting. A great quick video. I enjoyed it. 😎 No end screen subscribe button?

[In a Barry White voice] ooh yeah baby. I don't put subscribe button on end screen. I'd rather give more viewing options.

I’ve never heard of anyone applying a poly clear coat over paint. I have about a dozen concerns about that from longevity to incompatibility.

I've done this for years with great success. Key is to make sure paint is fully cured. Also I don't plan on ever having to repaint this. If you are ever font to repaint then yes, that is more work. What are your concerns? Is like to learn.

I’ve been asked many times by people of latex paints can be clear coated and I’ve always hesitated to say it’s okay. Some paints cannot be clear coated. You have potential issues of chemical reactions making the finish unattractive, bonding issues, flaking issues, interior vs. exterior changes in temperature and UV that could impact longevity. I’ve only had one bad experience but that was a project I put a lot of labor into and it scarred me. I’ve never had the nerve to make any similar attempts since.

Thanks. I've not heard of that before. I generally use the same type of paint but I think I'm going to buy a few different brands and test. It would be a very good thing to know which types don't play nice with poly

No worries. I agree with you!

Why did you opt out of installing an addition front rail to prevent the table from any front to back movement the same as you did for the sides, or making the side rails of a length that would serve the same purpose?

The side supports stop both side to side and back and forth. They fit into the sink. I could have made them longer for less front to back movement but was okay with the amount I have.

Understood. When you set it in place, it looked to me like there was significant front to back play. As long as you’re happy with the result.

It sure does move a full 2-3 inches front to back.
