I have the same stock. Haven’t had any problems with it. Love the meaty profile of the shoulder pad. Personally don’t like shooting it open but they did hit the mark with the absorbent padding on the pistol grip.
cool video, I was thinking about getting one for my mossy persaurder? I dont think it being folded was any reason for that butt pad to fall off?? also I believe they make a rubber recoil pad thats a option? I'have 2 ATI scorpion grips on my Ruger AR's and both are extremly comfortable with no problems, but I will say this...ATI is Expensive!! I should have bought that ATI scorpion mossberg when I had the chance, one of the hottest looking shotguns on the market, I hope your stock serves ya well, for the money they ask nothing should ever fall off!
Hey man, thanks for posting. I just installed mine tonight and am a little disappointed. On my maverick 88 when the stock is folded, I can unfold it without pressing the button, does yours do that? Is yours a really snug and tight fit, if ya know what I mean? Like does it wobble much
With this hinged stock and pistol grip I have the problem of the bottom of the hinge rubbing a sore on the top of my thumb, which grips around the handle. Do you have similar? There is padding, but it doesn't seem to be sufficient.
@@bobbybush1750 Even with leather work gloves the hinge wore a hole through my skin -- I think it started as a blister and then became a hole. ATI provides a thin rubber pad to adhere to the bottom of the hinge, so they know there is a problem, but even the foam pad isn't enough. If you look at an ar-15, the pistol grip has a beavertail-like backside. Also the ATI top folding stock has a smooth curved pistol grip. It only is the side folding stock that has this problem.
@@garydaniel8096 on your shockwave ? What do u have? Only shockwave i know is the cheap brace which is garbage… if you have a milspec buffer tube, a SB Tactical brace will work… like the SBA3 or SBA4
zip ties and duct tape for the butt pad. also, cut it down, too much thickness.. adding to too much length of pull. just my opinion. i'm planning on getting one of these stocks and modding the heck out of it.
My two concerns are the hinge assembly I feel like my hand would rub against it, the other thing is adjustable/pistol grip style stocks seem to partially cover up the slide release on mossberg 88. Have you had any of these issues? I actually don't like the folding feature because of the hinge, if it wasn't for this stock having the best looking pistol grip out of the cheaper two options they offer I'd go with them.
Initially I thought I would have the same issue but once you unfold the stock and rest your cheek to shoot your hand does not have any issues with comfort. it does feel weird when shooting it folded, but it doesn't hurt
You might need to sand the underside of the hinge release or just wear gloves. I got an extended slide release think it was like 40$. I have a 500 and the only problem I have is using the safety.
I Got the ATI side folding stock I installed on the mossberg 590 once installed my thumb do not reach the slid release for the pump. I have big hands so I find this stock useless because you cannot pump it my slide is not like the maverick 88 so I was asking did you have to modify yours ATI custom services said that is what I would have to so this product does not fit the mossberg 590 so it claims unless I did something wrong which I did not I have a 100 dollar paper weight
Had all kinds of problems with this stock, I don’t understand the positive reviews. The screw they provided does not thread properly into my receiver. It juts out and stops the stock from closing all the way. And the buttstock doesn’t even have threads for the screw to lock into! Trash product
