I can't love this video any more then just a little thumbs up. The end of your haul talk, I feel the same way 100%. Every time I have an extra bill to pay, like taking my old senior dog to a vet appointment, or my hot water heater breaks down, or, or, or... I either go hungry or it's the food bank. I agree so much with what you said at the end, and I told my son the same thing. They have to survive too and take care of their own family. I feel like if the immigrants can be entitled to the food pantry, then why not me? We have quite a few Russian folks who take full advantage, first in line, never missing one opening of food pantry day. I'm not saying they don't need it, but here I am waiting in the same line. I just took my senior dog to the doctor and she is doing okay, just got over her ear infections, both ears, with a grand total of 350 dollah, (plus meds, and other things) my oh my! But I love her and she deserves to have good golden days, as long as she is feeling as well as she can be. I found a Friday pantry, I'll be going tomorrow for sure.
Wow, you got some great food today. That’s wonderful that you can go there. I laughed out loud when you asked how much salmon was now… $500? Yep probably. The cost of food is outrageous. And the yellow squash? I love it. I cook it in butter on stove. I use seasonings that I like to give it extra flavor… but yellow squash is one of my favorites! Thx Dale. Have a good day 😊
I don't know if you have tried this for your back pain or not. But I use vapor rub,any brand although I prefer mentholatum with a heating pad. It feels wonderful. I use it for my back and pain other places. Hope you find some relief. Take care. Bye for now.
Brother Dale, that is quite the score. Here in Virginia we go to (2) pantries. One food pantry is twice a month and the second food pantry is every week. Our 6 food pantry visits a month equal out to one of your monthly food pantry visits. I believe you are in Pennsylvania. Decades ago I was in the bus business and went to the 422 Bus Auction north of Pittsburgh. I don't care much for the big city urban areas, but the rural areas and towns in Penn are nice. Have you ever been to Virginia? Mark (Blue Collar Virginian) aka fellow pen-o-holic lol.
I am in Pa ! And Yes I’ve been in Virginia many times . Used to Vacation at V. Beach. Also Loved Flying down at “ The Flying Circus” in Bealeton Va. I don’t get to travel much anymore!! Love my New Bolt Action pen that I reviewed a few weeks ago!! Thanks for Watching!! 😃😺
It's crazy that an everyday item like mayonnaise has gotten pretty expensive! That Kraft mayo you got is about $5 - $6 in most stores. I usually just get the 15 or 16 oz jar of Great Value mayo at Walmart. I feel better getting the smaller one that I know I'll use up before it expires. I can make my own mayo, too, but it's tricky getting it to come out to the right consistency. I have to hope it doesn't end up looking like pourable salad dressing instead of spreadable mayo.
As “have” countries we have a moral obligation to take care of those who “haven’t”. We are lucky to be born in a country that has safety nets for the less fortunate, can you even imagine not having access to the basic necessities such as food, water, shelter?
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. In the Halifax/Dartmouth area . There are more " tent cities " than ever before . As a widow on disability, it is very hard to survive. Housing is scarce and very high rent .
Just found you good haul...with the Yellow Zucchinis you could cut them in half longways and bake them with tomatoes over and under them or use your soup mix and use some as a veggy with pasta or put some in the maccaroo and cheese but stem them first... Or pickle them in a brine or but good if you fry them up with some of that stewing meat... Yes becareful of the Chicken maybe give it to the cat or dog...cooked... Goodluck... Also with the mandarins skins if you put them in a jar with vinegar to cover them left for about 2 wks then drain you can use the liquid as a cleaning agent so I have been told or even better you could cut it up to make jam that is want I would do...as U only need water and sugar and the peel...nice marmalade for your toast...in the morning tea. .yummee... I need to make some myself...😂❤😂❤
1st time viewer; loved scenic route with lush trees in Des Moine (didn't know it's beautiful there). Regarding back pain, here is what I do when mine acts up. Sleeping on my back with a heating pad directly underneath is tremendously helpful. During daytime, I use Salon Pas patches; there is a large one for back, but I usually use the small ones because I can strategically place them directly wherever I want (not just back, but around knee pain, shoulder/neck pain too). For medication, the best is Aleve/generic Naproxen Sodium, two blue tablets every 12 hours. That's an excellent haul. So jealous of pistachios & stew meat. Condiments have gotten ridiculously expensive, glad you snagged Kraft Mayo (around $6 where I live, just last year I could get it for $2 with a $1 coupon; not anymore!). We Southerners are jealous of all the yellow squash you have; there are plenty of YT videos that show how to freeze summer squash. Enjoy your haul & have a great weekend!
It is way too sad that our money has to go to overseas. Our money should stay here where we need it more people here are needing food Our people are hungry I just hate Trump!!!! Gladys from California.. I enjoy you so much.
You got a lot of great stuff. I agree with you about our country not taking care of their own. This morning I saw Biden is asking for 40 billion dollars for Ukraine 🤬🤬🤬
Pretty crazy that they're supposedly putting one group of people out of a multi unit building and moving illegal immigrants in there. A bunch of bravo sierra, for sure. They're doing it at one community center in the Chicago area. This is a community center where kids can go and do something constructive, like participate in sports, that might keep them out of trouble. Well, I guess they're a lower priority than illegal immigrants because they're supposedly going to be staying at that community center. Hope there's another place for those kids to go and continue to engage in positive activities.
It's a damn shame that you can't see beyond yourself. Sometimes you benefit from money spent to protect you. You can't touch it, that true, but it keeps you safe. Be grateful.
Absolutely not. Our military is not about self defense. It's about sending tax payer dollars to billionaires. Most of our budget is sent to other countries. As you can see we have so many people suffering here at home.
The chicken is fine, it is just vacuum sealed and that is what happens. They looked good and are very tasty off the grill or take them off the skewers and roast in the oven for. 20-25 minutes at 350*F - 375*.
@@CarlaQuattlebaum well in Tampa everthing is kept a big secret but the 2 places you are talking about are a 5 mile wall from where im at and metropolitan miniseries does not help deaf people. Feeding América serves a meal once a day that is a 5 mile walk
Yeah we're so fast to give all the money to everyone else in other countries and our people here are going without because before we get anything, you have to go through the Declaration of Independence. And that's what is so bad about our country. We have veterans, elderly people going without and hardly anything is done for them. So, I'm happy that you were able to get some help. God bless you
Thanks for sharing your morning, Dale. We had a helluva storm blow through here at 7AM, just when everyone is leaving for work and the school kids are standing outside waiting for the school bus. Our gas here is 3.59 a gallon. (SC) That is quite a bit of food you got there, the Food Pantry really provides a service to the community. Don't get me started on what Biden is giving to Zelensky, he thinks we're his ATM machine. What is your tattoo? Stay frosty.
