I literally started screaming “NO” when Mat pulled out the mouthwash. Be warned people, don’t mix spice and mint. Yes, mint is cold so you would think it could help. The problem is two fold. One, mint activates different receptors in your mouth, so it doesn’t cancel out the spice. Two, when your body feels something cold and warm/hot at the same time, you body translates those signal as extra hot. That (especially combined with the alcohol of mouthwash) is a recipe for HELLFIRE IN YOUR MOUTH.

Coconut Oils melting Point is in the 2x°C. Thats why pralines with it feel cool. Maybe there is a possibility to mix it into the peanutbutter-mixture, cool it that it just get hard and immediately melt in the mouth, thus cooling it. Maybe then the peanutbutter will provide the chill you were looking for.

Whoever suggested mint to you, was *TROLLING* you. Mint has the opposite effective of spice, but rather than counteracting spice, it adds to it. It's like mixing blue and yellow, expecting green, but getting an impossible color, bluish-yellow, instead and being eye strained into a migraine. The result is, as expected, temperature neutral, but your receptors are so confused by the conflicting signals that it all just registers as pure undefined pain. I already conducted this experiment in high school.

a year and a half late, but I think the solution isn't so much to find something better than the milkshake, but to figure out a specific flavor of milkshake. For instance, we used to have a froyo/milkshake parlor here in Houston called Red Mango (closed now, unfortunately) that had a peanut butter, honey, banana, and protein powder milkshake. (I think it was meant to be an after-workout drink since it was literally right next to a gym.) But it seems like combining the peanut butter and honey with the milkshake would prove to be really effective.

I feel like I understand how they were feeling in the final championship test at least about sweating and having chills at the same time because I have a condition which makes it really hard to regulate my body temperature amongst a lot of other issues so I am almost constantly half hot half cold to the point my legs feel like they are going to freeze off and everything above my waist feels like it's on fire

For the peanut butter and honey, try this: Spread the mixture somewhat thinly on parchment paper and put it in the freezer. When consuming, you can easily peel the wafer off the paper and pop it in your mouth!

KEY LIME PIE (optional: in shake form) - After watching the 1st video, my son and I agreed: Key lime pie is the obvious solution. Basically combines the utility of the milkshake, the mango lassi, and amps the tart factor up to max. Optionally, get your key lime pie blended *INTO* a milkshake for easy chugging... and keep it in a blast freezer for ice-cold presentation.

Whenever I eat something hot I down a couple of glasses of mio (that weird stuff you mix with water) and I eat some chilled fruits like blueberries and it usually helps to make the spiciness dissipate. Another good tool is forgetting you ever ate the spicy thing in the first place.

I know this video is relatively old by now at least in internet time but my personal suggestion is Swiss Lemonade, it's a type of drink here in Brazil made with lime, ice cubes, water and either sugar or condensed milk, I'd recommend the latter version in this case as the condensed milk makes it slightly more viscous and it being a dairy means it should probably help as well a bit. I personally drink either lime juice or this swiss lemonade in the rare occasion when I eat something spicy as the sugary yet acidic nature helps a lot.

I used to work at a smoothie shop called Juiceland (Its a chain in Texas) and they have a smoothie that may tick off a good amount of what you would want called The HoneyBeary. The ingredients are Milk Frozen bananas Frozen blueberries Peanut butter Honey The frozen fruits basically replace the ice cubes normally used in smoothies so its nice and cold. The peanut butter and honey to add sweetness and viscocity. The milk to neutralize the capsaicin. I think it has a STRONG chance. Hope to see it in the next spice gauntlet!

try raw Indian yoghurt or sweet curd or misti dohi , mango lassi has a lot water mixed in it , whilst sweet curd has sweetness in it and it has caesin from milk and lemon obviously plus if you put it in the freezer it would have a low temp which will also work really great
