Thank you Dr Pang i am so happy to have read your video on Glucoma as i have in both eyes i am 77 yrs old and i will take precautions especially my coffee intake Thank you Sir❤😅😅🎉
Thank you so much for this information. I was diagnosed with glaucoma recently. I like leafy greens, but not to excess, and dark leafy greens I can only eat cooked. I already drink at least two cups (14 oz mugs) of green tea every morning and eat lots of fruit. I'm going to try the Gingko, if it doesn't react with my lantanaprost. I do take vitamins, but only because I take other meds that affect absorption of some things like magnesium and zinc.
I was just given a prescription for eye drops for my glaucoma. I went to pick it up and was told the generic drops were $728.00. That was my share of the cost after Medicare paid their part. Needless to say, I did not get the drops. There is no way I can afford to pay that much money for drops for the rest of my life. I'm searching for alternatives. The government can afford to give money and food stamps, etc..... to the illegals, while the senior citizens in this country cannot afford to pay for prescriptions. Unreal!
Thank you, I finally see Cannabis actually does decrease eye pressure, so the best part is that it does not hurt. also good not to chug-a-lug the water, something we all love to do on a hot day!! And best of all, yummy greens. I also anticipate the studies coming out in next year or so, regarding if B3 vitamin can help slow optic damage. Great Video Dr. Pang!
My brother made a PSA song about this on Suno, after he did research for his glaucoma. *No CBD for Glaucoma* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bSMa0n4ZBuo.html
I'm very curious because they wouldn't put me on oral steroids that would have prevented me from going completely blind in the right eye which the glaucoma came on suddenly but a lot of the medications they give us especially the prednisone in the eye is lethal
@@jessamalala6203 Blueberries are a fruit and antioxidant which is supposed to be good for the eyes I have been eating blueberries for the past 1520 years hope that helps
What causes the glaucoma? The underlying causes the main thing to prevent like metabolic diseases or injuries. But, certain viruses like herpes shingles of the eye or anywhere that herpes lies dormant.
Decaf coffee is not a good sub for caffeinated coffee. In the process of making coffee decaffeinated methylene chloride is used. This is is used in industrial processes like paint stripping, metal cleaning and degreasing and it is linked to cancer.
He did scare me when he stated that alcohol has a neutral affect on glaucoma, but it has a tremendous affect on blood pressure, and both go hand in hand I would think. Don't metabolize alcohol into glucose and it metabolized fructose passes that brain barrier I would definitely say alcohol has a tremendous effect on the eyes, of people with metabolic diseases!?
Everything has to be eaten in moderation because even too much fruit has too much sugar ! That could be dangerous for people with High blood pressure or a Diabetics. So i have to disagree with you on all of this. Many people know what they need to stay away from Thank you Doc. There are many comments from many different sources and Doctors. PRAY IS A POWERFUL SOURCE AND THATS MY SUGGESTION. MIRACLES HAPPEN DAILY. BLESSINGS TO YOU. PRAISE GOD 👏
fruit and sugar are not the same thing and fruit has fiber. check out Dr. Kempner (Walter) he head up a study and helped people with eye issues and diabetics using a high starch program as does other doctors like Dr Bernard, Dr. McDougell, and so many others.
Good information But regarding drinking water if one has an issue of urinary or kidney problems doctors always encourage to drink plenty of water So where to draw the line
Doctor, in one side you recommend to drink caffeine-free coffee to not increase the pressure in eyes, but the other side you say that BLACK tea is good for glaucoma patients. You may be forgot, but black tea has much more caffeine in it then the coffee has. Am I not right?
Not all caffeine is equal due to alkaloids and other constituents in coffee vs. tea. Notice how a cup of coffee wakes you up quicker and seems so much stronger than a cup of tea? In some countries they grind the coffee beans with a few green cardamom seeds to offset the harmful effects of coffee. I do not know the biochemical reasons for this.
Yes - tea is fine. Avoid coffee, both decaff or caffeinated - it is the coffee beans that raise the eye pressure. If you have to have coffee have it after a meal.
How does one get or contact glaucoma? Please I would be glad if you could give some advice as I am suffering with this painful sickness for along time. 12 years.
Dr. Albert Pang, what about whey protein shake that we senior need to take as diet is insufficient to provide enough protein for our muscle and strength maintenance. I am 87 years old and need protein. Thank you.
How I struggled with glaucoma after eye surgery... The exercise of closing the eyes helped, while we squeeze out excess fluid from the eyes, one different way... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D3O3TtsNxiQ.htmlsi=hmmAHTVOX6CKhicj Does anyone ever wonder why we rub our eyes? By doing this we equalize the pressure in the eyes and improve the nutrition of the blood vessels, but after surgery this cannot be done... The pressure in the eye is increased due to the spongy trauber network clogged with fibrous blood, which removes 85% of the fluid from the eyes into the Schlemm canal. This often happens after blood enters due to eye injuries, or eye surgery, sugar, poor diet, etc.. It is necessary to improve fluid drainage: 1 Improve rheology (fluidity...) diet, jars, leeches, etc. 2 Improve blood vessels (contrast shower!!!, vitamins and much more...) 3 Mechanically help remove fluid from the eyes (massage around the eyes to drain lymph..., alternately squeezing and squeezing out excess fluid if you can’t rub your eyes due to surgery or injury, etc.) I’ll add... In order for the blood to be “liquid”, proper nutrition is necessary!!!, without excess sweets, flour, potatoes, etc. Good outflow is helped by proper MASSAGE of the eyes and neighboring areas and neck. But it also helps a lot to close your eyes one by one!!! eye to gouge out!!! excess fluid from the eyes into the lymph through the trabecular meshwork (spongy tissue can be clogged with fibrous blood after surgery or injury), into Schlemm’s canal. Massage of the lymphatic vessels that drain fluid around the eyes and ears, as well as throughout the head, helps to prevent and treat GLAUCOMA!!! A daily contrast shower or at least applying a hot wet or cold cloth to the eyes to train the elasticity of the blood vessels around the eyes and the entire head helps. All this warns of GLAUCOMA, which is almost impossible to cure otherwise. Only if you put leeches to thin the blood. Regular cupping and cupping (hijama) also help to improve the rheology of blood and lymphatic fluid. Regular trips to the pool are very useful, because of the contrast shower, because of washing your face after diving, because of constantly closing your eyes, because of swimming and the work of large muscles that help the movement of lymph,,,
I think we know deep inside we don't need to even look it up that alcohol is it toxic drug to our bodies especially us women and it causes major inflammation and that we just know by proof living proof. And it causes dehydration so I don't see how it is a neutral affect no affects on glaucoma or any other related eye diseases
Thank you very much from my heart, Mr.Pang ❤ I am going to stop at once drinking a lot of water in a short time . Slowly and moderate is the right way !!! Thank you!!! Elisabeth
@@freespirit74501. drinking water in large quantities has no use. 2. Yes, fast drinking water and eating is always bad habits. Please have one day or half day water fast (in combination with intermediate fasting) to revitalize your body physiology.

Fish oil, magnesium, Vitamin B3 will improve blood vessel relaxation and potentially of great help for glaucoma. The foods to avoid would be sugar, fried foods, seed oils, processed foods, HFCS, etc.
