Love the tips here. Every other "most profitable items for a food truck" videos and articles are saying things like hamburgers or BBQ are the best, and while that may be a good theme a hamburger is never going to make you the money that drinks and fries are going to make you. Also, popcorn may be a snack, but the smell of popcorn alone is worth the $200 for a machine.
Is all this equipment nsf certified? It's required in my state aside from the freezer. What size generator are you running? Thanks for posting these videos.
ANSI or NSF, remember you must send in your pre plans for approval and most likely they will want to see the specs of each appliance. This info is in my first video of preparation. Thanks
Thank you for an awesome video!Do I need a exhaust hood system for the hotdog roller or the popcorn machine? I'm planning to start my food truck in the spring of this year. Thank you!
@@judichristopher4604 depends on the event. If I had to haul can soda at some of my events I would need a separate trailer just for that. Again, size of event and cost per can compared to $0.14 cents a fountain soda drink.
How much water do you need for your soda fountain?? I’ve scoured the internet for the answer with no luck to learn how people store water for their food trucks. Please help 🙇♀️
I hope you can answer this question. It’s been a year since you made that post. I want to know how you are doing after a year in business ? Was everything turning out as you imaged it. I would like to do this one day too. But I want to know how people that’s in the business are doing. Any comments you can share. Thanks.
Hello From South Georgia, Thank You for this Video, I just bought this handheld sewing machine with the accessories and a wooden box to hold everything. I purchased this machine for hemming and some small simple side work. I can’t wait to start. I got a sewing machine for Christmas that is my next task or project 🤔
What are you running all that equipment on? 30amp or 50 amp? Also the refrigerators and freezer don’t look commercial and where I live refrigeration has to be commercial. Are you storing food product in a commercial refrigeration?ie hot dogs and such items? Curious to know as I am building out a trailer.
Most of these appliances are for snack trucks. Also, where I live, every appliance has to have a NSF and UL certification. If you are a chef, go to local auctions and find the appliances you'll need.
Nope, NSF or ASF appliances are acceptable. That is why you check the sticker that is on the back of every appliance you purchase. Even a snack truck needs to be NSF or ASF approved. Thanks for the watch.
I see you have very good knowledge about the food truck industry;would you please guide me in the process of getting into a “ceviche truck business”? What machinery do I need, and everything else that it comes to mind?
Wow that will interesting, I never seen one of those before. I would think you are in a major city for that to be successful. Remember, you cannot cook anything in your home it must be all prepared inside a food truck or trailer. So whatever it takes to make accommodations for that process is first in your designs. Good Luck
Thank you for your videos. Very helpful info. I have been considering a soda machine and you have me sold! Where can I find one for the prices you mentioned? Any info would be helpful!
I have an old camper that I want to convert to a food trailer just like the one you got on your video I would like to build it myself can you give me any directions and by the way it's completely gut out
@@ShalonBarnes once windows are built you can decide on where things will go and walls inside and counter heights. Inspector is needed to know if you can even use an old trailer. Depends on where you live and what it will be used for. Good Luck
Any one can please answer me please for the ice cream truck talking about the bars and sandwiches. When you shut off the truck for the day how do they stay unmelted till next day.
I am glad you liked it. It’s ok to ask them to go inside and take a tour and explain to you how it works. Especially if they are not busy. Most food truck people are friendly and are willing to help. If you want to get started, just do it and make that easy money 😊
I just bought a food trailer. So this is great. As I’ll have snow cones, funnel cakes, burgers, nachos, and K dogs. After watching this I need to add a drink machine of some kind for sure. One question what is the size of that truck? Trying to get a better idea of what I can really pack in of I do it right. Thanks in advance
Ok you must check with your district health inspector. Electric griddle from what I remember does not require a exhaust system only when gas flame heat.
EXCELLENT-VIDEO-!!!! YOU CERTAINLY DID A GREAT JOB WITH ALL ASPECTS FRIM START TO FINISH-AND MOST IMPORTANT YOU MADE IT VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND EVERYONE WHO WATCHES THE VIDEO WILL RECEIVE PLENTY OF INFO TO TURN INTO ACTION -NOT-!!! JUST HEAD KNOWLEDGE AGAIN THANK-YOU-!!!! WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED-WILL BE LOOKING FOR YOUR NEXT VIDEO-👍
I'm watching this like it's the Bible .. I just bought an 8x16 cargo conversion.. the whole front is sinks, then a fridge, a steam table, and a table... no hood... so to get started,if i copy almost what you have here,i can start without a hood and start working
It's OK, I'll talk to myself, got two snack ovens and a countertop make line.. Throwing away the steam table. It's beyond nasty.. My next steps, are a double door under counter fridge and two small deep freezers and wire racks
I appreciate your knowledge share. "Make sure you see it work" is excellent advice! You have a voice for radio and sound like you may have been a DJ earlier in life. New subscriber... GREAT content!
No it needs to be nsf approved and u must provide documentation to your health dept. Call your local inspector it only takes a min to know the facts for your area.
Hi. I’m wondering how a commercial fridge would work if I would mostly be using a food trailer only on weekends? Would I have to start the refrigerator the day before so that it’s cooled to the right temperature when I’m ready to use it? I guess what I’m asking is how long does a commercial fridge in a food trailer take to get to correct temp? Or how do you go about this? Thank you!
I like that idea!! An electric griddle and off you go. I seen a very successful sweet pancake sausage strawberries or blue berry wrap! If you go with coffee make sure you get a cappuccino cocoa machine. I wish you the best and let me know how it all works out!
I loved this video as well I’ve thought about all of those idea to go with my shaved ice trailer I’ll take it out to little league games at the ball park softball field during weekend tournaments make money money make money money
Would you recommend hiring additional help during busier events? Seems to be alot to handle for one person to run. I'm guessing at minimum wage and with additional insurance coverage. Is the profit margin a healthy one? Especially if I need to pay wages to at least one more person.
Depends on what your cooking? A set up like I have one person could do it as long as you have a plan. Most of the time it’s best to hire family or someone very trustworthy to help run the register.
@@TheSeamster what kinda of insurance coverage does one need for this kind of operation and how much does that cost yearly? Besides the regular vehicle coverage
@@sappir26 you will need 1 million dollar coverage insurance for food poisoning or death due to your negligence. It’s a normal coverage amount. You can go through your insurance company or purchase online with a reputable company. Cost should be $600 for the year if I remember.
Volunteers... throw in free food. Free work experience in business, customer services etc etc, many students out there that would love to share there knowledge too. They are the future. Congratulations on your adventures. All the best 🙏🧡
@@TheSeamsterthat's where you're wrong my friend. Judging on your comment and the fact you don't know me.... You're prolly young or don't care what you put in your body at this point in your life. That saying "you are what you eat", had allot to do with living longer. I actually cured myself from asthma, bronchitis, and stomach ulcers, by drinking this tea called Taheeo Tea. The food and drug administration is not design to help anyone... Especially you, me, and anyone else. Actually it's another form of population control. Frozen food, canned food, and microwave food is one of the most, (over time) fastest way to help take years off your life. With age comes time and wisdom and when you know better you do better, and that's just what I've done. (You do have to eat to survive) Did you know, the majority of all illnesses and disease can be cured and be healed through fruits vegetables and certain herbs 😳💯💪🏾??? See I was just like you at one point in time. I loved the way food tasted. If it looked good, I'm gonna try it☺️🤤😩🤦🏽♀️. I didn't care what it did to me. But I'm here to tell you, that shit catches up with you, especially when you get older!!! This tea I drink, (amongst 3 other teas on a regular) ( in alphabetical order) which is only found in South America is deprived from a tree. It's pure Pau D'Arco Taheeo tea. I drink it everyday. You can make it and substitute it for water AIDS, ANEMIA, ATHEROSCLEROSIS, ARTHRITIS, ASTHMA, BREAST CANCER, BLOOD BUILDER, BRONCHITIS, CANCER, CANDIDA, COLITIS, DIABETES, DIVERTICULITIS, ECZEMA, FUNGUS, GASTRITIS, GONORRHEA, GOUT, HIV, IMPOTENCE, INFECTIONS, LEUKEMIA, LUPUS, PROSTITUS, PYORRHEA, RHEUMATISM, ULCERS, VIRUS, AND YEAST INFECTIONS😳. SO yeah and no. I don't know how long I will love but I guarantee you God willing will love a MUCH LONGER time than you because of what I put in my body. That's why they killed Dr SEBI. Google him if you think none of this is true. And remember that other saying... Don't judge a book by it's cover unless you actually took the time to read it. Stay blessed and start now to change your eating habits so you too can know the difference in eating for better health. Stay Blessed☺️👆🏾💖
@TheSeamster I meant no disrespect. With what you're selling. Google enagic water. As well I was looking to purchase a food trailer from One Fat Frog catering truck company. And your video popped up. I just realized now that you as the author of the video whom took pleasure in commenting on my comment... So no disrespect towards you. My apologies. I know kids like snacks or what have you. But some habits of eating are hard to change especially if that's what you used to. I plan on serving alkaline smoothies in Malibu😊😊 ... Something very fun and super healthy at the same time. So my apologies for thinking you were a random person responding to my response. I have actually testimonies of different people taking the tea and it actually helps. I would love to give you the Dr who supplies the tea. It's like only one place to get this tea here. How he saved his dad from Drs giving him 3 months to live from having common cancer. He has lived over 23 years since then!!!! I see his dad who is over 90 years old every time, I go to his house in Ventura to order the tea. He couldn't even eat solid food. He is as of today.... Cancer free😊
Always look on FB market place for every appliance you buy. There will be a sticker on every fridge that will have a NSF or ASF approval. ASF is an approved appliance. Please always call your health food inspector in your district for all stfu builds.
Thank you so much! I'm a gluten-free vegan baker who does events and have been looking for other ways to increase my sales at events. Not everyone wants dessert so these ideas you shared are easy for me to implement even buying ready-made gluten-free or vegan options. I'm also watching your other DIY videos and you make it look doable! Thank you again!
@@TheSeamster great, thanks for the info! I'm starting mine up this summer and am getting everything together for it. I'm really excited to start. Is there anything that you missed in your video that you think is important?
