Hi! We are like sheep following the footsteps of Jesus and go wherever they lead. Be it up the lofty mountain or the lowly valley, we will follow the footsteps of Jesus. The thing about the footsteps of Jesus is that you can only see one step at a time and not look at them walking into the future. They are right next to you, meaning that Jesus is walking right next to you and has not left you alone in this dark world.
Footsteps of Jesus was penned in 1871 by M. B. C. Slade. Following are the lyrics:
Sweetly, Lord, have we heard Thee calling,
"Come, follow Me!"
And we see where Thy footprints falling,
lead us to Thee.
Refrain:
Footprints of Jesus that make the pathway glow;
we will follow the steps of Jesus where’er they go.
Though they lead o’er the cold dark mountains,
seeking His sheep,
or along by Siloam’s fountains,
helping the weak. [Refrain]
If they lead through the temple holy,
preaching the Word,
or in homes of the poor and lowly,
serving the Lord. [Refrain]
Then at last, when on high He sees us,
our journey done,
we will rest where the steps of Jesus
