How much i miss the old days of For Honor This just brought so much nostalgia back to me You were so ahead of your time man. Thosr mixtapes deserve so much more attention I vividly remember being super excited whenever you uploaded a new Mixtape and binging them
Had to come back to this video to say something. Mostly just thank you, these mix tapes were what kept me playing Kensei and trying to make him work somehow. They really lit a fire under my ass and I kept pushing myself further, I'm actually proud of the last few videos I put out for Kensei and that's saying a lot considering I usually am disappointed with my own shit. Whether anyone reads this I just had to say that without these videos inspiring me I would have quit Kensei and For Honor before I really gave it a chance.
I had a rep 17 kensei say that style didn't matter as long as you win, little did he know that style is everything. Great fucking video man I wish I could put out content like you dude never a miss.
Yo also not sure what your music tastes are like but check out a dude named Esbe if you have never heard of him. Dude makes some chill fucking beats man
Excellent stuff as always, Logan! Have you considered joining Perfecto-Ignori's Kensei Dojo Discord? I'm in there, and we got Alphastrike, and plenty of other great players. Perfecto has been looking to have you join us. What do you think?
Absolutely love the mixtapes and the musics. You are awesome. All my rep 7 kensei skill comings from you. Please keep up the good work and make more kensei dream come true
I remember a long time ago when I watched your souls content, was fire, now this, you are my favorite For Honor player, never seen you be scummy in any way. Pure skill, pure content
I love your videos my dude, lots of stuff without overly technical guard break feints! Just as a viewer's note, I get the fancy schmancy plays you like doing for da fans, but sometimes the best way to get high guaranteed damage off a light parry is just a regular ol' side heavy. Guarantees 2 bars off the dude's health. Always useful when you catch a predictable crushing counterstrike or an orochi light
I've done a little bit of a twist on your guard break kensei combo, it's a bit strict but I definitely think you could pull it off, it would be sick to see you do it. You go from GB> side heavy> toggle stance to top and start unblockable facing wrong way> soft feint into side heavy. Keep up the sick videos man!
To all those saying he is bad for exploiting he really isn't. For you to exploit it means you are abusing something unfair and everything he does in the video is blockable. Unpredictable yes, but not unblockable. Midn you he is playing a character that is at a general disadvantage against so many other heros. He definetly has a higher mechanical skill just from the fact he has to actually outhink and out smart other people who have things in their kit that make them easy to get damage in.
It is definitely an exploit.. It's not supposed to be in the game. it messes with the code in a way that it shouldn't. And he is abusing it alot which makes it unfair towards people that don't (the majority) Just because he's playing a character that's not as strong as the top tier characters doesn't make it justifiable to use exploits. I play kensei (rep 4) myself and i don't use any of these " techs " because it is UNFAIR. you can't tell if the opponent unlocks or not so that means that you can't even go for parries anymore against a player such as Logan. Now i'm not saying that Logan is an asshole for using these exploits but you cannot applaud him for it..
That's not what i mean by using unlock tech. what you're talking about is indeed not exploiting. however some of the unlock attacks that he's executing are 100% unparryable. he even said so in his previous videos. the third unlocked heavy attack finisher is (when executed properly) unparryable.
+FatFreeIce yes and no, it only allows kensei to have something that is "safe" something he has very very little of. I'll give you with other characters this unlock shit does need a patch man but understand kensei had some of the easiest lights to parry, essentially nothing to open up turtles, and a highly predictable neutral game. Even his "mix-ups" are easy for higher level players to deal with. Face it this game is unbalanced as all hell and us kensei mains are doing what we can to stay relevant and be stylish while doing so.
Big Hat logan on Praise the sun's stream thats happening as i type theres some nice unlock tech by a kensei. After getting 1st light in chain, side light unlock. It comes out pretty quick and it looks sweet. Ill leave a time stamp once the stream is uploaded
Hey logan, i think attacking heavy straight after parrying a light gives u free heavy that hurts bar and half but u guard break which makes the heavy second hit in the combo, second heavy hurts way less, this is crucial though
yep, the parry>side-heavy gives you the most guaranteed damage (40dmg). but from the gb you can start those sweet mixups: parry > gb > sideheavy > unlocked sideheavy = 60 dmg parry > gb > sideheavy > top-heavy > softfeint into helmsplitter > unlocked sideheavy = 80dmg risk/reward shit
Hey Logan, I've been wondering about something about Kensei's Zone attack for a while now. I've seen people be able to connect both hits of the zone attack - how exactly do you do that? I know that you're able to connect the first one by standing with your back to your opponent and then starting the zone, and feinting after the first one hits. How exactly do you get both to hit? Doesn't it have something to do with re-locking onto your opponent after the first hit? I've seen people do it before but I can't find a video that demonstrates it.
Can someone please explain the technique to making 'Unparryable' attacks? I know it consists of unlocking, but then what? I can do 720s fine, it's just I've seen people make the top heavy finisher unparryable, and it was with unlocking, do you just aim for the edge of the hit box?
I feel like you could do a quest for hatemail with stuff like this, reading the comments on these vids is a salt mine for the most part so im sure in game chat you get a lot of shit aha Good vid though my dude always look forward to these ^-^
Okay so I saw something earlier I'm not sure if it was lag or what, but I was fighting a Kensei who kept spamming the side dash attack every time I did an attack, and he dodged everything. I continued the combo, I tried light-light-light, light-light-heavy, etc. but he just kinda phased through any attack that looked like it should have caught his dodge So would that be just horrible lag or what? Cause I'm seeing your dodge attacks still get punished pretty easy, and my attacks were landing well into his transition to the attack frames rather than dodge frames
Hey @BigHat Logan ive been trying to prsctise the 720 spin as ive pretty much got the rest of the moveset down, been practising on level 0 bot but cant seem to crack it i land it about 1 in every 9 attempts but most of the time end up facing the wrong way after the spin any help please ???
technically yes, but for the 720° spin, your opponent is still in recovery from the gb>sideheavy startup and he can´t catch you with the gb in time. for the whiff-bait, you´re most likely out of range for the gb.
yep, they removed the ability to make your unlock-attack unparryable by decreasing the time-window where you can unlock and "whiff" your attack. so even if you unlock your camera during an attack/chain, you´ll still face your opponent and your direction is locked. you can still unlock for a whiff if you release your camera before(!) the hit-confirm. but there´s no reason to do that. pro: unparryable attacks are gone contra: all unlock-techs are also gone
build? whatyamean? I´m just doin 1v1 and 2v2 where gear doesn´t matter. sorry mate, I don´t even know what stats/feats you should prioritize on kensei.
Ive literally trained for 2 hours, rewatching ur vids, later today i might get a ps4 card to play online, you're vids helped me alot (still can fight bots with out online month) BigHat Logan
nah mate, sorry. they removed all viable unlock techs (which is ok for the unparryable stuff, but you can´t whiff 2nd attacks after hit-confirm). I had a lot of fun with this game but I don´t think I´ll reinstall it anytime soon.
I get that the unlock techs are sweet. I've watched all of these, love them. But really? Like why do you emote/boast/taunt people when you're clearly using something they have zero clue about?
Vocation No shit he only puts wins in that's the purpose of the video it's essentially a best moments compilation why would he put unexciting fights and losses in?
Dark dragon Acnologia any character can do unlocked attacks.. and you know the way to counter it is just to block right? The most simple mechanic in the game. If ubi doesn't want the 720 attack in kensei's arsenal then they'll patch it out. Until then just play the game and have fun. Nobody likes a whiner
