Short clip taken from Mrs Doubtfire Final Courtroom scene, I need my kids as much as they need me... Starring Robin Williams, Sally Field, Lisa Jakub, Matthew Lawrence, Mara Wilson. Scott Beach & Juliette Marshall
Robin Williams was probably one of the best performers ever, and I truly will miss him as an actor. It's hard to imagine feeling sad about the passing of someone you've never met, but Williams had a way of touching people with his work, and this (clip) is no exception. He could be funny, serious, or just plain ridiculous, and no matter which way he felt believable. Watching this clip was the first time I got a bit misty, realizing that we won't be able to see anything else he had to give. I hope Robin know's that he had an effect on many people, and that he won't be forgotten.
I really feel for the dad. Truly I do. But look at what he did… the judge doesn’t know him personally, but he does know that the behaviour the dad exhibits is NOT normal and that the safety of the children was paramount. Having your dad parade around faking to be your nanny to gain access to the family home after a separation?! It’s scary behaviour.
There’s a case to be made for Robin to be called the greatest actor of all time. He really could do it all. I wonder what his performance would’ve been like if Kubrick got his way and cast him in The Shining. Nicholson was great but Robin would’ve absolutely tore that part to shreds
This is why I LOVE being single and NOT being married. It means that this kind of situation will NEVER be my problem. I am so glad that I don't deal with moments like this.
This is more tragic than the situation Mr Hillard found himself in. You might think you're protecting yourself from pain, and to an extent you are, but to never experience the love a parent has for their children is the real tragedy - if that is intentional... there's a reason this scene is so powerful, because it conveys the sense of loss relative to the depth of love Mr Hillard has in his heart for his children. Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
I'm a divorced woman with two sons who are now grown. I know this might sound crazy, but I wished my ex-husband would have loved his son's enough to have fought for them, but he didn't. Instead, they were an inconvenience for him, so if you do have children, that doesn't mean that the other parent will automatically want them. Not everyone is parent material.
Sounds fine to me, How do you mean different? It was transferred from Region 2 / PAL in the UK, Wonder if that’s what’s causing the difference with the Sound?
@@AJComputerServicesUK I was just wondering, no offense. Sounds fine to me too, it was just in the music was a little difference, but it was fine, I liked it.
Miranda wasn’t always just angry, she was mostly jealous of Daniel. That judge that made sure that he never sees his children again. That judge works for her. Miranda paid that judge to do this just to get Daniel out of the way. she’s a lunatic and a psycho. She can’t force the children to like her better than they mostly like their father better.
A 40 year old married man no easy task could be a Medicaid coordinator is your lifestyle over the past months and refused further subject 6 innocent children to peucliar and harmful behavior I will have supervised rights every Saturday the medicaid coordinator and the social worker will accompany me when able spend time with the children.
The judge in Mrs. Doubtfire is the nastiest film villain ever in film villain history, he alone is even worse than all the daleks that attacked Gallifrey in the Last Great Time War!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, he was not. He was spot on with his decision. That man had psychiatric problems, and who knows what he would’ve done. If you ask me, the mom and the judge were the most reasonable people in the film.
@@theironmarshmallowg3932 Well I think David Cameron, Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, Theresa May, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-Un, Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden are worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The judge might not be as evil as the Daleks but these people are worse than him and them: David Cameron Boris Johnson Donald Trump Liz Truss Rishi Sunak Theresa May Vladimir Putin Kim Jong-Un Adolf Hitler Osama bin Laden
Daniel broke the law and defied court orders for two months. Supervised visits was a bit much but he didn’t deserve joint custody. Actions have consequences.
When my parents were going through their divorce, I would go to my grandparents' house after school and watch this movie. It pretty much gave me the only idea I had of what they were going through. While I now know that their divorce was extremely different from the one portrayed in the movie (that should go without saying), it always hit me pretty hard. Now that both my grandparents and Robin are gone...it's hard to type this without tearing up. Rest in peace Robin.
This is how its like for so many great fathers out there, its so said the way family court treats fathers all over the world this needs to change. Fathers need to stand up and demand a change and the right for kids to have fathers.
I had a hard time dealing with my parents being divorced as a kid. I would be very sad, when I would see other kids with their parents together but, when I first saw this movie I was 15 and I remember crying when saw the part when he said " parents may fall out of love but, they love their children so much"
I saw this movie for the first time the day of his death my dad asked me if I saw this movie I said no and I watched it .... And I can not beleive how hard it was and is to watch this scene without crying
PPS I also feel this way about my best friend kids. The ones who were born to a deadbeat dad instead of me. I wish I was their father, in blood as well as sprit. If only I met their mom earlier than before they were born. Its my deepest regret ever...
I recommend a great children's book to help young children cope with divorce 'Nina Has Two Houses' (available on Amazon.com) It also includes tips for parents to minimize the negative effects on children
This isn't just a scene for seperated/divorced couples but also for those that are homophobic and/or anti gay rights. This is a great cinematic example of what such hate, bigotry, and ignorance can led too. In conclusion, RIP Robin Williams, can't imagine any other actor in this role doing a better job than you. Thank you for this, you will be missed dearly.
@KangaKucha What does being anti-gay has ANYTHING to with this? Still trying to shove your idiotic agenda down people's throat. Sorry but its doesn't work like that. Now go back to your safe space corner and cry some more.
PS that nanny at the end, let me ask the ? all the world asks when they see that scene, even a snip of it... If you don't do that (really? You too weak to change a diaper??? GET OVER IT!!!), WHAT THE FLYING F×@% DO YOU DO???
The judge in this movie is very prejudice, but then again, most judges are prejudice. Peculiar and Potentially harmful behaviour, even a psychiatrist wouldn't be able to tell that.
