Life seems to be a cruel lottery. I feel rage and hate for those who got lucky. It's as if they got rewarded for being selfish and heartless.

I've been fighting for over 15 years. Yes! I have done and tried everything! I'm too tired to keep trying and in too much debt to even try if I still had the will do to so. My story does not matter because I do not matter. Being alive is torture!

To someone with depression or in a truly bad situation, this pseudo aggressive, "shake it off" approach is completely useless if not counter productive.

I've been at war with depression and self-loathing for a very long time. I don't always win, I sometimes fall back into hating myself and feeling like I deserve eternal suffering. But the war goes on. I won't stop fighting.

I don’t know if anyone is reading this but I’m the oldest of my family. Porn has been in my life since 5th grade and ever since then I’ve been depressed because I’ve chosen to give into it. I’m now 20 I still watch it. I don’t want to. I have days where I don’t move from my bed or skip class because I feel down or depressed. My sister is off to college, she’s pretty, smart, and I’m not denying that I’m smart but it feels like she is going to succeed more than I will. And I will just be a burden to my family, and people will start looking past me and to my younger siblings who are more achievers. At least that’s how I feel. I know I need God whether you guys believe in him or not. I know I need to change. I’m not happy about the way I look body and face wise. So these thoughts bring me across videos like these and I start to tear up. It’s real. I’m sick of just watching my life go by. I want to be in my life. Another part of me is scared. Scared to take the first step because what if I don’t get to the point I want and now I’m seen as a non achiever. My whole family are achievers and I want to be one too. When I was little I didn’t learn how to walk first like normal baby’s did. I did some sort of spider money crab walk, I army crawled, I did pushups. I was different. And while I’m writing this, I understand that I believe I’ll get to my destination not by any normal ways but by the abnormal way I create for my own life; I will succeed. That’s also though believing God has a plan for me and believing in myself and hitting the gym. I’m just talking outloud but if anyone has any comments feel free. Thanks.

I feel like I’m void of any personality or good traits. I feel like I have to wear a mask every day, in order to try and fit into society. But I have never fit in anywhere, and that’s painful.

Fight over 20 years with unfair debt of your family, work without rest to get out of the poverty. Remember all those interesting people you had no chance to talk to. Remember beautiful places you had no chance to see. Remember no one around will understand, because they live normal life. Reach 50, become ill and lonely, look at friends getting older and dying. Then we can talk again about urge of giving up. It is easy to stand against enemy in one battle and die, there's no suffering in that, just pure emotion and dose of stupidity. Try to battle for years and you will see what the hell is.

I'm everything you described and then some x10. I was cursed from the beginning. Neutered by nature, I'm not a real man and never can be. The final solution is my option.

I needed to hear this. i have 2 kinds of arthritis: I am overweight and have done nothing with the 30 years i have been alive. I have thought about killing myself many times and thought why keep on living if it's just pain and shit every day. Today, i changed myself. Thank you. I will favorite this and watch it daily to remind myself to keep on fighting and hope that one day, it will get better.

But.. what if you really are worthless? I mean I'm 61.. crippled and can barely walk...have Meniere's disease and lost my hearing... can't get a job. No wife.. no children... haven't had sex in 12 yrs. Can't take care of myself. Homeless living on a family members couch... I have absolutely no money. Filed for disability... still waiting and I doubt they will help me. What really is the use of living? Think seriously... Im crippled, can't do anything, unhappy, no love, own nothing, and 61 yrs old. What in this world do I have to look forward to?

I really needed to hear this. I always felt insignificant, just another cog in the wheel, and replacable. But this video has given me hope, courage, and motivation to keep on living. Thank you.

I’m having a lot of career doubts these days. I’m a communications student so my job prospects are really open and dependent on what skills I learn and hone in on myself. So without a clear picture of what’s next I feel lost. All I have right now is dedicating myself to being a good brother, son, cousin, etc as well as maintaining my good friendships. I’m grateful I have that, but I can’t help but feel useless or lifeless sometimes when I think about how out of shape I am, how I can’t get my love life together, and how I can’t get assignments in on time

Almost midnight, thinking about last 15 days. How I can see 15 days as half month and realise that how inefficient I was being. Completely feeling down, listening to these words- how you completely defined how I was feeling and then highlighting the importance of attitude. These were very empowering words ever I had listened. Picked myself up several times throughout this life, some success, many failures and setbacks. Problem is that when you succeed (or deemed a success, as depicted by Western values), I still feel like a failure. Now 54 years old, never married, or had a girlfriend, just a waste of time and air. Now looking after my ill 95 year old mother. Been through therapy on the NHS and now medicated upto the hilt. GP will no longer deal with my meds (legal reasons) and I have been discharged from the mental health service, even though I tried to take my own life just three weeks prior. Meds at the highest dosage and no one monitoring me, even failed at therapy :(

Feeling worthless is mostly the true reflection of social reality. We are worthless as poor, ugly/average looking, and unlucky men in the eyes of society. The only logical way to destroy these feelings is to refuse seeing ourselves as part of society and its hierarchy. If we ignore society, we shall may not feel worthless. The problem is that we base our value according to the perceptions of society. So we find ourselves in our mental prisons. But if we refuse to admit the values of society, we shall become free. You can find such example in history in the example of philosopher Diogenes.

I'm not a man, I'm a 22 year old woman and I've been told that I'm useless, ugly, stupid my whole life, was bullied when I moved schools in early 3rd grade. And now everyone around me wonders why I'm quiet, reseved, closed off, lame? Im so tired. My life is currently sh!t as well. Im just tired of 12 years of pain. Im tired of this feeling of regret, anger, and resentment building inside me. Anger and resentment at myself and the world. I don't even understand why I survived being born prematurely and my twin sister didn't? Why did I stay just to suffer? At this point I don't care about goals, dreams, all the nice and beautiful things of life, no motherhood, no love, no wedding, no career, nothing, even though I tell everyone else I'm fine, and tell everyone to try and be positive. Im tired. I think at this point any kindness or love of any kind is way to late, nothing can ever repair what hurts and is broken inside, maybe that would've helped when I was 11 or 13, but now it's too late.

Just feel better. dosnt pay the bills Just change your attitude. doesn't get you a job Just get motivated. doesn't help you get relationships I have been unemployed for 6 months now even with a positive attitude it dosn5 mean you will geth the job i have no highschool diploma just being motivated doesn't make you smart enough to pass a grade you failed three times that you studied and work hard to pass I cant pay rent i have no freinds or social life be positive helps but not for people who have nothing to be positive about i have family but im mostly a burden on them (I'm not suicidal but it's hard man)

56 years in and I’m now more certain that less than 5 people would consider taking time to be at my funeral. My health is failing, i spend hours a day on the toilet and serve zero real purpose in this world. I wish I had the balls to off myself daily and with each day my situation becomes more obvious that I’m a complete nobody and no one would mourn my passing. I hope I’ve made some difference in the world but even I don’t think so . Great video but you’re not taking into account that some people are trapped in a downward spiral due to failing health.

What are some concrete steps I can do to change my attitude? I went to the gym for months, I went to bars parties etc..., I finished my masters and I'm taking a second one. And now I'm am planning to start my business. My attitude has hardly changed. I still feel terrible inside. If anyone went through this and got out let me know.

Trouble is where i live most people..wife,kids,family..from both sides, cousins, boss, collegues,neighbours all know i have issues and i pretend to be oblivious to all the comments,innuendos, gestures that come my way on a daily basis, 5-1/2 years now and its taking its toll, if i say anything about my situation then i would get called mad,crazy and insane which so i say nothing!! Coz whats the point!! Already been called a coward numerous times, sometimes society just don't want you to be part of it so they come together to make sure you know what your fate is!! What hurts the most is the more you try to make things better the more the screw turns from the people who you once trusted the most!!! Absolute torture!! Constantly put in positions that undermine my ability to make a choice knowing that someone will get hurt. I.e my family try to hurt my family..wife and kids!!! My wife hates them so has turned my daughter against me, son still sees me just a matter of time!! She speaks bad about my family!!! They speak bad about her!! Its lije i have to chose!!!, I live with my mother! Kicked out!! No where to go!!! Stuck! No friends, hobby, crap job, paying two rents!! All because i put wife and kids first so i could pay off family debt over a 3 year period between 2015 and 2018, work work work, and still trying to be there for her and kids and her family issues and health!! Endometriosis,cancer, emergency c section's,dvt, blood disorder and numerous other operations!! When i needed help!! Discarded like i was a hinderence coz i hoped she would understand like all the times i was a able to listen!! No one will understand or care!! Thet say time heals but i disagree!!! Not always...sometimes gets worse!! How does someone forget the past when ya constantly reminded of your past, your parents past and past mistakes on a daily basis from people you want to help you get better. Every day is literally a rerun from the day before!!.. i cant stop thinking about all this stuff that has happened and at the same time trying to solve this horrible conundrum that plagues my being!! From my experience mental health is something to mock coz this is what i have had to deal with from multiple people! Liked the vid tho!! Especially the beginning because the wording really does sum up how i feel right now!! I can't take on all these people alone!! They have me over a barrel!!! So up tomorrow and do it all over again!!!!😢
