Things just seem to be getting worse for Ford customers in 2023...
Ford employees are furious. Lightning and Mach E buyers are getting a huge reality check. And Ford CEO Jim Farley just made one of the WORST mistakes in the long history of the blue oval when dealing with the Ford Bronco. Jeep and GM/Chevy are also getting a wake up call. SUV prices are out of control, will they be affordable again?

I believe the big 3 are doomed. Our company has been loyal Ford truck buyers for decades, unfortunately it's time to move on. @@Bangkok-ik1fp Ford should do what Honda/Toyota/Nissan & the like have done that have their cars put together here in the US and move operations to the southern states where we don't take kindly to Unions. People wondered why when those import makers started putting their cars together here in the US why they didn't fill the empty factories up in Michigan and up north where they wouldn't have had to build a building and could have hired out of work UAW people. Well it's cheaper with the headaches the unions cause to build a new plant in a southern state that doesn't do Unions because the workers know what a farce they are, where we can be trained to work and will work harder and cheaper than those empty factories and out of work UAW workers. Come to rural areas in the south and watch prices come down, we don't tolerate Unions. Unions were good and had their purpose a hundred years ago when workers were being abused and put in danger, now today they're just greedy and donate heavily to one political party that is helping to destroy America. If Ford and GM don't get out of the likes of Michigan and the Northern states they aren't going to survive. As is I'd already rather buy a Toyota or Honda over anything they make, because I know they're made better and last longer. The UAW with their current strike are killing themselves and I feel for some of the workers, but that's what happens when you get greedy and lazy plus bring Bidenomics into the fray. It's not just that woman working for Ford that cannot afford their vehicles but most Americans can't and most of us that can are not going to pay these insane prices. Between the Unions and the government forcing them to go all electric America's big 3 are going to be a distant memory and not exist anymore.

Case in point, you highlight a row of Ford Escapes that were basically 10% off of the retail....because not enough people buy them. @@markgonzalez0619 They are still the best and I would bet on that any day. I see 2020 Tacoma trucks and even seen some 2020 Camry cars with 300k miles. No company is perfect but out of ALL of them your chances of getting bad vehicle from Toyota are low compared to other brands. Even the new Tundra has turned out great after they fixed the early turbo issues. Turns out the manufacturer was not building them to Toyota Spec so they were fired and now no more Turbo issues. Toyota nobody comes close and even though they may be running into challenges its a lot less than other brands.

I bought my 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage ES for MSRP, which was $18,110 after destination. Out the door it was $19,951, which includes, tax, registration, and fees. EDIT: Even if you want to go fancy, and get the fully loaded Mirage, you are only looking at about $20,000 for the MSRP. And that is with all the features.

You are comparing apples to oranges when you compare the Escape to the Bronco...buyers of each are different. Escape buyers will not be buying a Bronco...they will go to a different manufacturer when the Escape goes away.

They're are doing the same thing in my country, cars are so expensive that only rich people and companies buy a new, normal people are fighting for 2000-2010s shitboxes in used markets And all the automakers in response, kill the accessible to put SUVs and EV's, cut cheap versions (Some only have the top versions) and jack the price so much that luxury brands like BMW, Audi, Mercedes... had a boost in sales (why buying Jetta or a Cruze When for a little more you can have the i320?) It's all they do is cry to the government when interest rates are too high. Nothing to do with the ridiculous prices

As in the 90s to today I dont understand why moms scoop up gas hogging suburbans tahoes expeditions etc when a minivan gives you better everything at a fraction of the price.

Just an fyi, banks are starting to give out loans for classic cars. So If you're gonna spend 20-30k on a car and only commute a few miles live a little and buy that chevelle that wont lose much value instead of that 2023 nissan sentra that will only lose value until its worthless.

Great video, brings up so many thoughts in my head. First Ford, it wasn't that long ago when they were building EcoSports. Now they are fazing out the Escape, crazy. No Escape should ever be nearly $45K. For now the Bronco Sport does look like it has some value the way it is priced, they will increase those prices shortly. No looks at Explorers when talking about Ford? On to Chevy, gotta check out the new Trax which is front wheel drive only but is a crossover style and priced affordably. For me the Blazer was way overpriced from the jump and Chevy has missed out on so many Blazer sales due to its pricing from the beginning. Now there is also a smaller TrailBlazer so the Equinox will cease to exist soon. Lastly Jeep. Thought you might touch on the Cherokee which they are stopping production on, hopefully to bring a new cooler redesigned Cherokee back next year. Also, I know that Jeep dealer had a Renegade somewhere on their lot, those things are everywhere and should be the cheapest "New" vehicle on the Jeep lot. Renegades are going away soon as well but as of today they are still the entry Jeep vehicle slotted below the Compass. Lastly, I would never buy a Wagoneer. The body of the vehicle is so boring and the price is so ridiculous. I do like the Grand Cherokees and Grand Cherokee L for a third row option but they will need some more incentives to move that inventory.

Yep my Great Granddaughter has one of those EcoSports. It just a cute little car perfect for her first vehicle and she has no complaints. But guess what its discontinued. BTW Jeeps are pure JUNK! Read what Consumers Report has to say about those pieces of shit.

I have a 2011 F150 Lariat. It has the 3.5L Ecoboost. Has all of the options my 2018 Explorer Limited has minus the fancy touch screen radio and fancy cluster. It still had the original the sticker price from the dealership it came from and in 2011 brand new it was $45,000. That same truck today has a sticker price of over $77,000.

I give chrysler credit for keeping cheaper options like the RAM classic line in production. The classic Warlock is what I would get if I was gonna get a truck. That or a nissan titan.
