I would absolutely buy a pickup truck if i could get one for a reasonable price. But when an F150 XLT crew cab runs $60k? Pshhh no way. I sold Fords back around 2016 and a mid trim F150 used to run $35k.
If you’re smart and you’re in the market for a full size pickup, better buy a used 2nd gen Tundra as soon as you can. I’d rather spend $600 on gas with a paid off truck then to spend $450 on gas with a $600-$1100 monthly payment.
Chevrolet like Ford killed off car production except the Corvette. It’s coming back to bite Ford and will Chevy as well. Not everyone wants a truck or suv and I’m one of them. Cars are better on gas, easier to get around in and ride better.
In Mexico the situation is worse. We are paying the same price as US consumers and we get less equipment (mostly security features) because our corrupt government has less regulations. So every Chevy or Ford truck sold at this outrageous price, means more profit for them. Hopefully people will start to understand that these prices are nonsense (a F-150 raptor has the same price as an average house here).
Good timing is everything. Now is not the right time to buy a vehicle that use to be the price of a house. Thank you for doing these videos because more pressure and exposure on these ridiculous prices may help bring things down.
I bought my current car a year ago and despite bringing in gross over 100k a year, I still bought a used 16k car and paid it off in a year. I can't fathom how people accepting 1,000 a month minimum payments for 8 years, it's just insanity.
Not just Jeep. If the Chinese or Indians start importing $20k pickups or 4x4s, they will own the market. Too few Americans can afford 60k for a new vehicle
If everyone didn't buy the overpriced new cars for a couple of years they would come down in price. It's the consumers fault for even paying the outrageous prices ..
I put a chunk down, went through a Credit Union to get a lower rate, then extended the life of the loan....then paid it off sooner. Saved all around...
No sympathy for greedy dealers and manufacturers. NO working man can afford these huge prices. Ford, Stellantis (RAM) and GM cut your prices by 2/3rds or get ready to go out of business. Your greed killed you. GOOD RIDDANCE!
Crazy prices my brother he had paid $10500.00 dollars 💸 $60.000 thousand less for his dodge Dakota it was a white Dodge Dakota rest in peace ❤ to me brother 🙏 died in 2021was 44
Truck and car manufacturers have lost the market. All are marketing too large, overly complex, overly expensive vehicles. What are needed are inexpensive, simple, affordable, and RELIABLE vehicles.
I was in desperate need of a truck, but refused to pay close to $70 k for a truck that doesn't even give me all the features I want. Yesterday I finally bought a used truck for under $30 k. I plan to use this used truck for the next couple of years. I will be waiting to see what happens next; I am patient.
Blame the government! Unrealistic EPA requirements are forcing auto makers to make big trucks that are exempt so we can’t get smaller trucks. Also manufacturers tacking on bs features we don’t want or need, they are desperate to recoup that R&D money ASAP. Its all an attempt to push us to using public transportation
The average man in America makes 45-52k per year depending on race. Where on Gods green earth can you live that cheap to support buying a truck with these price tags.
GREED! All these companies… their goal is to beat the previous years profits, year after year, and like to blame it on “the cost of living”. You’re going the opposite direction if that’s the case, and I don’t want to be rude but they can keep that 💩
the first truck was a 2WD truck and the next truck was a full size truck with 4WD. BIG diff in prices this guy doesn't know what he is talking about it !!!!
Politicians and Big Corpos forgot that to make money they need to sell, and to sell, people need to have money, if you accumulate all the wealth the market crawls to a halt. Not only the car market will suffer, actually the whole society will, less educated people, fewer kids, and less growth, therefore the idea today is to open borders to cheap immigrant labor, keeping them in check with Visas and hard-to-acquire Green Cards, keeping the hamsters running the wheel. The American dream is dead and was killed by corporations and its politics, from Big Pharma to Black Rock, it`s amazing what corruption can do to a country.
I refuse to pay over MSRP, I hesitate even paying MSRP listed price. I grew up when used cars were 1k and new cars you could haggle at the lot. Until people wise up and stop buying both used and new cars for overpriced we will be stuck with this crappy market
Just received a letter in the mail from my local dealer wanting to purchase my 76k mile 2015 car. 😂 This paid off car isn't going anywhere. Which is why I bought a brand new motorcycle instead.
I bought a new ‘23 Ram Big Horn Hemi Equip Gr-1 on 3-22-24 with a MSRP of $61k for $49,329 OTD. 26% below msrp, I visited 4 dealers in Indiana and Michigan. Bought near Kalamazoo MI. I did use the 1st Responder and Employee Choice incentive from my cousin who works on the Jeep line in Toledo. I’ve been looking since September of 23 and watching Brandon and the Car Edge channel was helpful on RU-vid.
How about a two door truck cab with a larger bed with no four wheel drive and one without the computer screen and just a radio and air with knobs to operate them. From what you have shown, manufacturers and dealers can eat what they have sewn and loose millions.
Wait until all the auto manufacturers ask for another govt bailout, wave bye bye and say no. Tell the CEO’s to take a pay cut and lower prices by 40% and cut interest rates in half
Car payments? You people are NUTS! I've NEVER Made one. I've got 5 ADULT Kids and trained them right. NOBODY Buys NEW. Who's DUMB enough to do that? Payments on a Depreciating LIABILITY? Tells you how good the US Public Education system is! I Drive a 2013 Chev Volt. Got it used. We all buy USED and have learned to turn a SCREW DRIVER, rather than have the SCREWS turned on us!
The Ford dealers in my area are losing sales because most of the service departments don't want to fix the vehicles right the first time when under warranty. I'll never buy a Ford pickup again
