You may need a hard reset. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and touch the negative cable to the positive cable for 15 seconds and then put it back. This fix my 2016 Escapes radio problems.
Thanks for the vid. For my 2009 mazda tribute the radio comes on but no sound. Sometimes the sound comes on. I have the stock amplifier in the back. I will check the fuse when i get home.
No problem. Most likely you are dealing with loose electrical connections behind the radio or internal radio issue where some connections on the board got loose.
Connected my battery backwards, horn went off when the battery is connected. Ended up blowing the fuse 39 and the alternator 175a fuse. If you have a new battery and it is now displaying a battery light it is likely the fuse before it is the alternator! Check the 175a fuse
Which fuse is it for the radio. 08 ford escape. My radio works but my aux wont and my Bluetooth has never worked. Going to buy a Bluetooth speakers and put it in my car. Then pull the fuse for the radio. I don't want to listen to the radio at all.
I have a 2010 Escape and I have one speaker that’s not making any noise. The other three are fine. Should I check the fuses before I try to take apart the radio or door assembly where the speaker is to check connection?
It is probably not a fuse issue, none of the speakers would work then. Most likely you will find cracked wires in the door jam behind the rubber sleeve protector. I would check that first as it happens very very often and you don't have to take anything apart, just pull the sleeve off and inspect the wiring. If your front driver side speaker is not working then this will be your problem for sure
I'm having issues with the Bluetooth audio not working and have heard the fuse needs pulled. Would you by chance know if it's the radio or buttons that may need pulled. Guess I could pull them both and see what happens? thanks for posting this!
Hi, I recently got a used 2009 Ford Escape in great condition. It's been about two weeks and suddenly the aux does not connect and the button does not work, the media button on the steering wheel does not work, and the phone button on the steering wheel, as well as the console phone button. When pressing these buttons on the steering wheel, it does nothing. This happened suddenly after everything was working fine. The line in or usb ports do not work, but the cigarette lighter part works and charges my phone with the car charger port placed in. Does anyone know how I could fix my SYNC, aux, media, and phone buttons to enjoy music in the car?
Hi, well first try to check the ford sync fuse. If it stopped working suddenly there is a big chance the fuse is the problem. Next thing I would try is disconnecting the battery for 10-15 min and then reconnect. That could "reset" the ford sync.
@@tbhairdiary I have the same problem and I have really bad anxieties I'm releasing in my music aside the fact that they sold me a car that was really messed up and I'm driving around illegally so I'm hoping that this works😂
Mine got wet, my mechanic didn't lock in my hood and my hood opened up and busted my windshield n it was raining so mine just has no power maybe got wet
Sorry to hear that happened to you. Yes it is possible moisture got inside and fried the radio. I've seen it happen couple of times mostly after I've dropped of cars at interior detailing.
I removed the number 28 and he continues listening to the radio, the car has a short on the radio and I want to remove the fuse so that it does not draw power, Which fuse do I remove?
Quite Alright, please help us, Ford Escape 2011, the power can not be turned off for Entertain system, a message is hanging. "reinsert USB".no radio, CD or Sync work and i can not do reset on the screen itself--any idea how to fix this
Try pulling out the radio unit and check the wires in the back. Also try wiggling those wires while the radio is turned on to see if the sound will come. If not then it could be the problem in the radio unit itself. Something usually gets lose on the motherboard and can be soldered together
IF all fuses are good then pull out the radio and check wiring / electrical connections behind it. Also it is a good idea to check the wiring at driver door jamb behind the rubber sleeve
My 2010 Mercury Mariners radio, time, display and control panel wouldn't work after some time! I cpuld never figure it out, and was getting so bummed out not knowing why it wouldn't turn on!
My 2010 ford escape xlt when I turn it on it boots up premium sound then it shows up no phone and I can't even exit to listen to radio and my ford escape don't have Bluetooth mode to connect phone devices can someone help me out also I checked all the fuses and they are all good
I would next pull out the radio and inspect all connections behind it. Also inspect the wiring behind the rubber sleeve on the driver door jamb as very often wires get damaged there from opening / closing the door
I have a 2012 ford escape and my radio speakers will make a pop sound every now and then and then it seems sometimes the radio restarts itself and doesn't do anything for a few minutes. It eventually comes back but it keeps doing this. The fuses don't appear to be blown so idk what it could be
If you have an 08-12 Ford Escape and you're here because your sync keeps disconnecting the Bluetooth media: The Sync fuse is the 3rd fuse moving from left to right on the bottom row of the fuse box in your passenger floorboard/console area. Remove it while your vehicle is running, turn it off and put the fuse back in, then start your vehicle and it should be good to go.
Try pulling the radio out and checking all connections behind it if all the fuses are good. Some of this fords also just need a software update from ford dealer. Worst case scenario you'll need to replace the radio unit
thanks for the video, my 20 A fuse keep blowing up, mine I can not control or see anything on the display or the panel control, I can Control the stations and volume from the wheel control. any guess?
There is a short somewhere probably or a bad ground. Try looking the connections in the back of the radio and control panel. Could be that one of the wires is exposed or something simple like that
@@QuiteAlright whe i get a new battery does that mean the same thing about disconnecting to 10-15 minutes. Also it started doing this when houston had that bad winter storm
If fuses are not burnt out changing them will not do anything. If radio / display is not working then try pulling out the radio unit and screen and check all connections and wiring behind those. Also you can try disconnecting battery for 10 min and see if that will "reset" it. Hope this helps
