Thank you so much, I've learned so much watching your videos. I got a 2004 sport trac a few weeks ago and I've been fixing it up. Took out the headliner tonight. Will clean it up and put the new one back in tomorrow. It came out just like you said and I didn't have to take out the seats! I did pop out the front cup holder (not the whole console) which seemed to give it a couple extra inches. Couldn't tell if you took it out in the video but thought I would mention it for someone else.
NICE!!! I used pro grade spray on bedliner spray paint for my bumpers and trim pieces. I find paint chips off too easily. The bed liner spray goes on nicely and has a cool satin sheen to it. Made my rear bumper look like a new part.
No lie, my headliner just started flapping in the front when I'm on the highway with the windows down. Perfect timing on this video! The Boss head unit is working out great by the way, that was a great value for the price.
Yeah the headliners never seem to last. Im glad the boss head unit is still working good. Not back for a more inexpensive option... If you need any help just let me know.
Awesome write up dude. Needed that this last snow killed my liner thru the sunroof can wait til spring to change the seals and try this. Thanks so much for posting this!
THATS AWESOME, love the Typhon, I have a 2004 XLT sporty my sunroof exploded last week, I’m using this video for the removal of my headliner once my replacement sunroof arrives, I’ll be adding torsion keys, shackles and a 3in body in the next few weeks, but going to replace the body bushings at the same time I do the body lift.
I would add the Kryptec Camo to the seats, Visors, and, yes, even the door panels. For what can not be Kryptec, I would give it the same paint treatment, even around the Dome lights so everything gets matchy matchy.
munnday86 used original grey foam backed from amazon. Also found a great video on removing the hanger clips in the back. I used one full can of 3M 90 and just a little of the second can. Your videos are the best! If you have a line on a two tone leather(light/dark grey) drivers seat cover let me know 😂
I have a 2007 Ford Explorer with a similar design for the headliner and headliner fiberglass board and how it mounts to the roof of the vehicle. This was very helpful thank you for making this video. I just need to get the roof off to do some wiring for lights and an external battery, but I think Im gonna do a custom headliner seeing how the opportunity would present itself! I also believe that since I have an SUV the headliner board should come right out of the rear door, its way too long to come out of any four doors. My only hold up is gonna be the sunroof and controller for that, I imagine it is clamped and screwed but we shall find out!
Bro... I'm an automotive technician by trade. I bought my son a 03 Sport Trac, and over the course of the last 3 months, I've replaced: Radiator... Had a leak Lower ball joints Upper control arms Alignment eccentric cams Fuel pump... Was reading incorrectly Water pumo Thermostat housing Upper rad hose Lower rad hose Fan clutch blade... Was cracked Evap core Spark plugs and wires Intake gaskets Both valve cover gaskets Flush cooling sysyem All body mount with poly mounts Serp belt Tensioner Ac manifold hose on the compressor... That looooong one Front and Rear pads with Akebono pads Front and Rear rotors, with new bearings Removed motor and replace all timing related components Hood shocks I think I'm done working on this truck. I'm pretty burnt out on it. Still need to fix passenger side washer nozzle Truck drives like a new vehicle, because it basically is. I can't imagine what all this would have cost someone who didn't have the tools and a shop with a lift to do it at. The shit we do for our kids. I enjoy your videos. When he gets his first job, he wants a sound system in it lined I have in my Camry, and a rear backup camera. Keep up the good work.
Wow thank you for the compliment and you have donecalot of manitiance in a short period of time. Just keep up on the maintinace. Has been a great truck for me..
The heck with all that glue fumes and material wrinkles. I just used a good quality texture paint of the color needed and viola! Looks like a bran new heakliner.
