Ford Sport Trac Body Mount Bushings ( FRAME BUSHINGS ) replacment. 

Yeah it was a learning process for me since there where a couple videos out there. But zero showed you how to remove and replace the bushing. If you have any questions when replacing yours. Just let me know.

I also have a 2001 sport trac and need to replace my body mounts. Wish you were closer to me in NJ.

@@munnday86 I've been doing some repairs. Replaced the thermostat housing unit and took the dashboard apart to replace parts. All minor stuff. Thinking about doing the front suspension after the body mounts. Thanks!

WOW! Thought you sold it?! So! I was digging around forever to find info on the 12 Volt power supply in the bed of my sport Trac?! All I found was a Vlog??!! Are they ll the same bolt diameter for all 8?

yeah just remember get plenty of PB blaster on the bolts days ahead of trying to remove them. it helps. and lots of heat.

Thank you very much. I would use PB blaster on all the hardware and soak them everyday for about a week. In order to break the bolts free. Plenty of heat aswell.

Thank you for the positive comment. I never added any grease or lubes to the bushings. Haven't had them squeak or make noise yet.

I find them on Ebay. Maisto 1/18 scale model. The funny thing is the truck is white. I bought it used off Ebay and I think it was in a house where people smoked. Has a yellow tint to it. But you can paint them any color you want.

I looked at the "B" and "C" bushings last night. They are still there, but I could easily slide my finger in the big cracks and break them right out. There's no way they are supporting the truck as they should. Hoping I get a few warm days sometime soon to tackle the job, and hoping to hear and feel the difference!

@@munnday86 working on b bushing on drivers side. Finally got rusty bolt out, and threaded a bolt in from bottom. No amount of pounding will separate internal sleeve... bushing all over driveway. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey Munnday86! Finally had a nice day to tackle this job more in depth. I replaced A-B-C bushings. D bushings were in great shape and I understand it's a PITA to separate in half anyway. Much nicer ride, seems to sit a bit higher too. Thanks to you and your video!

Took me about I guess 5 hours total. Little bit more when filming. The ride has alot less squeeks and rattles. You can change all the mounts if you desire. I changed the 4 that where bad. The front and rear mounts where still good.

I'm not sure. When I got the sport trac the bushings were all gone and dry rot. But shouldn't be that much diffrent than OEM. POLYURETHANE might last longer.

Well... my biggest fear came true! Watched your video a couple more times, psyched myself up and went at it!! Unbolted the driver seat, pulled the floor board cover back to get to both B and C pillars and got the bolt under the driver's feet out no problem! Thought to myself, "Man yeah!! Just like the video!" Screwed the bolt in from the bottom and proceeded to "knock" the hardware apart from the top. For the next hour and a half, I beat on that bolt with different extensions (got one extension wedged onto the bolt and thought I was REALLY screwed), different hammers, drowned it in PB Blaster, heated it with a torch.... and NOTHING!!!! The bottom and top portions were rusted completely into ONE homogenous unit!! I feel like the next logical step would have been to saws all the hardware in half to remove it, but with this being my only vehicle to get back and forth to work in, that job was going to be more than a "weekend job" for me I thought. And that's IF the other 7 sets didn't do the same thing! Oil well... I guess I'm just meant to have a "mini log truck" ride for the rest of the Sport Trac's days.

No just pre soak l the bolts in pb blaster and should be fine.

Make sure the threads are clean on the bolts and nuts. Might have to use a tap and die set to clean up the threads.

Yeah it seems like the middle two bushings where made out of a diffrent rubber compound. That disnt stand the test of time. The front and rear bushings are in perfect shape... Very strange!!!!

The body bushing are completely different than the control arm bushings.

I tightened them up pretty good. Not sure if you want any bulging. Make sure you use thread locker.

@@munnday86 yea i used thread locker. When i first tightened the bolts, they were squeezed pretty tight so i loosened a bit. But maybe i should've left it tighter. I have maybe an inch at most of bolt coming out from the bottom. Do you mind checking yours when possible.

The rear will be fine. If you do the torsion twist upfront a alignment will be required. But the truck rides great and looks killer with a torsion twist and 2" shackles.

Mine started misfiring on the factory plugs at 80k. Remove the passenger tire and plastic wheel well liner get the rear plugs. Makes it easy peasy.

I soaked my bolts for a couple days with PB blaster. It helps alot.

The A and D bushings are made out of a different compound than B and C I would say only change if necessary.

18mm I watched the video again and paused it.. You getting ready to tackle that job?

munnday86 I had it done but I believe the bolts were not tightened as should there is some whistling when driving

munnday86 yes had me confused why when only the four directly supporting the cab were replaced the ones at the two ends are stock and in perfect condition

The only lift is front torsion twist and rear 2 inch shakles.

Procomp 69 15inch rims with 32x11.5r15 BFG Goodrich allterrains.

No i didn't have to take the seats out. I took out the 4 bolts that hold down the seat. And rocked the seat forward. No need to remove them.

Did you read the instructions its tells you which letter bushing goes where on the frame. Make sure you have the correct bushing in the right spot
