My advice to anyone doing this job buy an exhaust cutting chain bought one £30 from euro car parts. Buy the pipe kit from pipe dynamics as it slots straight on the whole job took me 45 min. It does help I'm a traind technician but still the right tools help.
Hey there, I just had an issue with this joint and changed it myself, the old one had a hole so needed changing, my issue is that after doing so the car lacks power, I had to disconnect the exhaust from the turbo to do so. My process was disconnect the battery, disconnect the O2 sensors, disconnect the exhaust from the turbo then cut out the joint and put the new one in... after a complication with one of the turbo studs that connect the exhaust I had to take the turbo off to get the stud off as it snapped on the turbo. Now with everything back together and no leaks in the system, I almost have half the power that the car had before, where top speed was 105 now its hardly pushing 80 down hill, there is a rev limiter at 4k but didnt notice it there before. car has 71k miles on the dash and the service light came on now. Any suggestions?
@@LouisworldMyLifeMyDiet yes all was sealed and put back together correctly, have not checked for codes as i do not have a code reader, do you have any brands that you would recommend for this?
The 2 bolts for the flange are they threaded right through or shoulder bolts ? Can’t get the nuts off thinking about grinding the round head off of the bottom
For anyone else wondering…… it got done with a grinder!! Some how managed to squeeze the grinder in (without the guard) and ground the nuts off. When I say squeezed I had the grinder disc about a millimetre away from the gearbox
