Very nice.I owned a Mk1 (X reg) and a Mk2 ( E reg) in silver. If I could have one of them back it would be the Mk1 as they looked the part and handled better imo.
I had 2 XR2s. The First one was moonstone blue & it was pretty much standard. The second car was a darker grey, black bumpers with a blue stripe. Windows was so dark it was a police pull 😂 Car was siting on RS1600 alloys, lowered using spax suspension. The car was so low the wheel arches lip was rolled out to stop rubbing. Had a scorpion exhaust straight pipe to the manifold. Kent cams & a K&N carb bolt on air filter. It was very nippy, darty & very noisy loud 😂 A sick fun little car
Somebody's tucked that up in bed every night. And only driven it on overcast but dry days. I nearly bought a blue one in 89, but hung on for a Mk.3 1.6S instead. The insurance for a 21yo would've cost a fortune.
