@@Alex-dz6xw that’s just how Ive heard it referred to. With the ST you could come into a corner under power and lift off the gas and the rear wheels would break free and give you a decent amount of rotation you can’t really call it a drift but you could sort of slide through the turn.
Not the fastest but surely one of the most entertaining hot hatches on sale at the moment with that huge amount of oversteer. Love how Ford stays true to their principles. Amazing how adjustable the car is, responding perfectly to different steering inputs and driving styles.

yep, overseer followed by unloading of the front and a bit of understeer close to the wall...I know the theory, at least. That is one well tamed FWD platform and one well seasoned 'ring driver! A pleasure to watch, I even leaned on my kitchen stool, close to hitting the wall myself!
I had the previous gen focus St, one of the most bizzare FWD cars I've had the back end was so lively you could get it to slide out all the time, was hilarious but quite scary sometimes had a few Oh shit moments in that thing. Don't no why people don't like the sound, of. Course it's not all real but it does sound a bit like like the old 5 cylinder and not like every other 4 cylinder that's about these days. I'd love one of these, fantastic driving too
@Isaac Clarke the MK3 had a sound sympozer which directed the noise into the cabin, but this MK4 has sound going in through the speakers unfortunately.

En éste video yo no veo un gran Focus, más bien veo un excelente manejo y control de un auto que no tenía nunca acompañamiento trasero. Felicidades al piloto, en vdd que buenas manos
great drive you are very talented, it looks like the car easily out drives the tires on it and is need of a suspension set up or tweaking, the rear end rotation is good and important part of the handling, renault megane sport cup had the same issue early on and sorted it in the next generation car, really nice driving
I don't think they intend to fix this, that's been the default behaviour of the Focus ST with TC off even in the last generations. This car's basically meant to be an extra fun daily, not do well on a track. That's what the RS is for. Though I have to say that the laptimes I've seen in this ST so far are quite impressive. Definitely not as fast as the Type-R, but it's one of the fastest hot hatches.
Even my 2012 Focus does that. Ford just knows how to build a damn good FF hatch. Sharp turn in + lift off throttle = progressive, controllable oversteer.
Sacrée voiture .à mon avis une des meilleures du moment bien mieux qu une megane 4 rs de levante avec ses roues arrière directrices et une 308 gti avec son super bouton sport. Et un super pilote au volant qui remplit sa mission comme d habitude..merci à lui pour le plaisir de nos yeux et à ford qui sait faire de vraies voitures en ce moment.....
Bof en quoi c'est bien meilleur ? Elle survire H24 , pour des gens moins bon c'est risqué . Elle est moins bien équilibrée que les autres mais plus joueuse
