Nissan was one of the first brands to make a mainstream all-electric vehicle with the LEAF. But when it comes to the booming electric SUV segment, Nissan is a bit late on arrival. Finally, the brand has jumped in with the all-new Ariya.
To see if Nissan’s new EV SUV is any good, we’ve set up another AutoGuide comparison brought to you by WeatherTech. In this head-to-head we’re comparing the Ariya to one of the most established competitors in the market, the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Ariya hands down! Beautiful built and overall amazing drive. Japanese car DNA. Mach-E….exterior looks amazing, punchy performance, but Interior… basic in my opinion. I’d go for Tesla Y than Mach E.

AWD Ariya has torque vectoring so it'd feel a lot better around corners than the one the reviewer drove

I chose the Ariya… the seats are super comfy and the sunroof opens. I’m at the point in life where a nice interior rates higher than a sporty ride

Loved this video! Been waiting on someone to do this comparison. I've driven both and the Mustang Mach E is more fun to drive. The Nissan is well...another electric cross over.

It’s not even close. The Ariya should have been an infinity product. In build quality (check Fords recalls) alone it’s a no brainer to choose the Nissan.

This reviewer keeps mixing kWh & kW when describing things. The battery is measured in kWh & the charging is measured in kW. It's a bit pedantic but it definitely is something that I think a reviewer needs not to confuse in order to properly inform their audience.

2:35 What do you mean by "measuring in at 91 kilowatt"? With that low power output, the car's engines could never bring their whole potential of over 150 Kilowatt to bear. I'd also like to know that the capacity of the Mach E's battery is. The unit for that is KWh, or Kilowatt-hours. Maybe next time you tell me how many litres a Camry is long. Or how many seconds from 0 to 60 fit in the trunk. Thinking of unsubscribing because this bad habit of using the utterly wrong unit for battery capacity is sloppy and triggers me a lot because it spreads the stupidity in the web. .....oh, and of course you repeat the mistake at 7:50. Yes, it's an error. We've punished our review by having him write out the difference between kW and kWh 100 times on a chalk board.

@@AutoGuide You have a wide audience and quite the range. There aren't too many car channels as watchable as yours, but with that comes some responsibility to provide proper information. Good to see that you take criticism seriously, though.

Mach E is most definitely more attractive, has better handling, and quality of the interior. Nice to see nissan have something uniique thogh and way better than leaf
