Thanks for uploading all the info man, I'm just wondering how to know if the key I have is programmable? I'd hate to start this process and find out it's not a programmable key, but I can't figure out how to answer this question. I got a Keyless entry/ignition Taurus with only one key, it's programmed as a MyKey before I bought the car, I've never seen any admin key beforehand
Thank you for the video. I have a 2018 Ford Escape. I was able to change the MyKey settings in ForScan, but the key is still recognized as an Admin key. Do you have any recommendations on what to do? I bought the car used and only have one key.
Just the metal key the key fobs are super easy to program u just cycle the key on off on off 8 times u will hear the door locks cycle then with the key still in the on position just push and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the new fabs at the same time and u will hear the locks cycle then do the other than key off and your done 👍
I just have one question I can’t use my dash at all because I did a king ranch swap and my buttons aren’t working on my steering wheel and I bought the car from the auction so I have the my key features on and can’t turn them off. So if I turn off mykey in forscan will it automatically turnoff my 80mph speed limiter without touching the dash ???
If you buy a programmable key you only need a locksmith to cut it so locksmith will program your new key to your car for a large fee that's why I just bought the $15 forscan
eBay is where I bought my second key that I successfully program with forscan but if for some reason if you start the program and the new key happens to be no good it will not program and your stock key will no longer work either that's why I was super nervous about this process
I did this.. and it sort of worked. I disabled mykey, and everything went back to normal except my sirius xm radio.. it still shows rock and hip hop stations as mykey restricted! Any ideas??
I think the only way to full get rid of it is to have two keys or use forscan to make a new master key then you can delete my key on the dash screen but if you program another key then you have to enable mykey then go in on the dash to rest your existing key

Idk what lite pro is I went to forescan.com and signed up for the free trial there was a guy on here saying you can't buy the license right now because the company is from Russia and with everything going on you can only get the two month trial but you don't have to have the license just to turn off my key but you do need it to make an extra key
@@mmprospects4685 I can't remember id have to rewatch the video it says where to go to disable it but even after that my speed still wouldn't go over 80 tell I made the new key and was able to change the settings on the dash
On newer cars (2015 and up ) it wont work, because you will need locksmith level license (not the same thing as Forscan extended license). Since you wont have that license you wont see PATS in menu.

You can't actually buy the license right now because they are in Russia, which you can't bank with russia... The only option for us right now is the free trial.
My friend has a ford fusion hybrid 2016 and she got the car used. She only has one key and it has Mykey enabled which I want to disable it and clear it out. Will I run into a risk if I don’t purchase a second key off on Amazon and risk it not starting? I hope to hear back!
There's a risk of it not being programmable possible but if there selling a programmable key and there good to there word you shouldn't have a problem I bought my new key off eBay and had it cut at a locksmith home Depot wouldn't cut it
got it I got the ford oem key online amazon. just need to go and make the key for it. When I make the key is it suggested I wipe out the old programming of the keys to remove the mykey feature? or should I just add a new key?

@@gilbertlopez6730 I was the same way I thought it might be a way to add another key but no it screwed everything up one of them will be the admin the new or the one u have now either way you will have two keys to be able to turn mykey off
See the thing is we lost the original key chip, it fell out, so we bought new blanks from ebay and seeking info if we can still program the 2 new ones without the old key chip

If i have only one key can i disabled mykey when i start my ford fusion 2012 it shows 1 mykey programmed and 1 admin key programmed i have only one key so can u tell me is it admin key and can i deactivate mykey with forscan
If the key you have is the admin key it should let you disable my key on the dash if it's not the admin key you have you cant do anything about my key on the dash you will have to get forscan to disable the my key but even with it disabled you can't change the speed limiter without a admin key you can program a new key with forscan or a locksmith
@@batthcreationzz5016 yeah not all locksmiths have the scanners to program new keys but I used forscan to program my new key myself and used the new key to disable mykey and turn off the speed limiter
@@CCAutoWorks hey sorry i guess i need 2nd key...on forscan i was able to disable mykey feature but for some reason when i turned off ignition then back on the mykey was still there even tho it says its disabled on forscan...im glad it worked out for you tho i didnt everystep the same i have a 2017 escape tho not sure that would matter...thanks for the vid
@@CCAutoWorks In the forscan program. It doesn’t give me the mykey option on the dash either hence why I am here, I accidentally turned it on. I thought this would have been the video to help finally turn it off but when I go into forscan the “MyKey” that you would disable just isn’t in my forscan program. It lists the driver setting menus for mykey, but not mykey itself like how yours does. I have a 2017 ford focus

@@timclevenger5760 do you still have only one key if so I don't think you can turn off the speed limiter without two keys one being the admin key that's why I had programmed another key
@@CCAutoWorks yea didn’t know it wasnt programmable, I ended up buying a programmable one from Amazon getting it cut at a hardware store for 5 dollars, redid the process and it worked
@@CCAutoWorks program is hard to learn my car has problems with key fob like it just stops working until i plug it in to the port won’t start sometimes says no key its key less push start
