Had the 2 inch pucks for years. Made a jingle sound and threw the caster off enough that my wife would not drive it anymore. Ended up going with the 5" grocery getter, clipped the front bumper and went with 255/85-16 wildpeak mt-01's
Spacer lifts are mostly a preview tide you over until you get a 5 inch lift. I have a couple friends that ran spacers from rtz or fpo that eventually got an AV or WTD lift. Once they park next to a 5 inch lift and see the difference they gotta go bigger lol
@@Smackindaface I wish I was able to run into the owner on this van. RTZ spacer on a really nice build here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DvT5LevKGFI.html I know Action Van and Weldtec have custom/modified Radius arms to correctr the Suspension Geometry on their 5 inch lifts. Weldtec has as small as a 3 inch lift that uses Modified Radius arms. Some people cant get the alignment right on the 2 inch lifts. I would check out Sebastianslife91 and Carts and Quads on youtube and ask them question about their spacer lifts. Their active on youtube,
@@Smackindaface No problem keep me updated on yout van build. Love this hobby heres my last video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wT3PGyOIAQc.html
Hey John I hope my buddy Mike brings my old van, 92 E150 with Ford Parts one 2” lift front and rear and I added a Hellwig helper springs to adjust the rear to accommodate my build and the turtle top full of recovery gear. Looks like there will be many configurations of lifts at the meet!
Yes sir! I have a U-Joint guy wanting to join us and you with your 4x4 Old Body Style. Who did the Conversion? Was it Pathfinder or Quadra Van? Someone else? I have a few guys with spacer lifts and a bunch of us with Weldtec and Action Van. This will be a awesome meet for van fanatics and I will show off all the vans for people who can't join us. I can't wait! Been working on my days off so I can be rear lockered by this meet! Crawling under my van today to see if I can find the diff tag and contact Larry at Action Van to see what he can do with my van.
My conversion was done in Milwaukee Oregon at a place called Richardson Bros. 4x4 which closed in 1995 but they were well known in Oregon. I am really stoked for this meet up with the variety of van lovers in the same place!!
2 things I don't got cheap. Tires and brakes. I definitely recommend for these vans gor E rated. If you want better ride air down to 55 not like me I did the 4x4 course with 75psi in my Tires then Larry Aired me down and it's was so much nicer. And I have rits carlton in my van with ps5 ext.. and nothing broke!
I upgraded to buying brand new budget tires. In my younger years I bought used tires lol. The 285s on my first van was used tires lol. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1ZLl0egMQ9A.html
Did you have any issue getting Castor adjustment dialed in? Alignment shop said I needed Radius Arm DROP BRACKETS due to the 2” lift, but I can’t find anyone who makes them for Econolines. No one seems to mention it online either.
I would get in touch with this guy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m2Nxz5V98nk.html He seems to be the expert on 2- 3 inch lifted vans and has his alignment dialed in. These are my friends vans I'm sharing in this video
Spacer lift is just a 2 inch Rubber Piece or Metal Piece that rests under or on top of the stock spring giving it a small 2 inch lift. A Suspension lift is all new parts with taller springs, shocks and in the case of a can new control/radius Arms for correct suspension Geometry. Here's my 5 inch lifted van next to a 2 Inch Spacer Lifted van. Let me know if you have any more questions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uGwJ9X-K_WY.html
Really good deal! I just did a quick search on Autotrader to find the cheapest nicest van. That was the pick of the liter. 150,000 miles is a long way from 300,000. I use 300,000 as the baseline. But we see plenty for sale with 300,000+
He's running a 265-75-16 on stock rim. Heres another friend of m9ne with a Ford Parts One lift running 265-70-17 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uGwJ9X-K_WY.html
