In the last video the frame was welded back together, in this video we run the electrical, install the fuel tank, exhaust and driveshafts. Check out the next video to see the body go back on!

I now understand why people create RU-vid channels: to solicit conflicting criticism and "my way is better" comments. . Great build, explanations, and video captures.

I guess you are doing this in kind of rush. I would have installed new "U" joints on all the places as well as clean and paint most every part swap including the exhaust. No better time than while you can work with such things so easily. But it depends on what you have in mind for this project... Thumbs Up!

Thanks Gary! I appreciate the feedback. If I had more time I'd probably do some of that but for now I'd like to just get the truck drivable. Pulling the body off these trucks only takes me a few hours if I ever need to do that in the future.

Just curious why not shoot some rustled on the fram while you it exposed may prevent another frame chopping. I have a 86 f150 xlt sort bed I'm working on I like this video because it shaped how to chopping a frame which might be what I have to do to convert this 2wd truck to 4wd.

I may sandblast it and paint it if I end up keeping the truck. Right now I just needed to turn 2 trucks I had sitting around in to 1. Thanks for watching! -Frosty

Thanks for the video, gave me some ideas on how I'm going to approach working on my own ranger 👍 Did you take off the cab by yourself & was it difficult?

Thanks for watching and letting me know what you thought! It wasn't hard removing the body, ive done it several times and it Def gets easier we ach time. I used a forklift but in the past before I had one I used an engine hoist, before that just a couple of buddies and I would lift it off. What kind of repairs does yours need?

@@Ciruchan glad you found it, I've made quite a few videos on this truck

That "new" frame doesn't look any better, why not at the very least wire brush and prime it if not paint it?

I'm not restoring it, just fixing a rotted out rear frame. If you lived in the midwest like I do you'd think it was CLEAN!!

Some POR on that frame would make a much nicer job and no better time to do it than now! Just saying!

If I like the truck I'll sandblast and paint I think in the future. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, there had to be a point where I stopped doing excessive work.....I didn't even know if I wanted to keep the truck. The video wasn't really about restoring a truck...just about welding the frame (=
