This ford ranger raptor was sold like hotcake here in the Philippines. In fact, ford philippines sold more than 10,000 units of ford ranger raptor since it's landed here a couple of years ago. That's a testament of how popular this truck for a filipino buyer.

Although a more substantial engine would no doubt catapult these cars ahead of its competition by miles, there’s no denying how impressive these 2.0L biturbos are! just over 210hp and 500nm of torque from factory is already class leading, a few mods and a quick tune and you’ll be laughin, love to own one someday 🙏

Good to see you took it on the Simpson and it performed ok, no other utes straight off the showroom floor can do this, and definitely none including the 70 series will do in in the comfort the Raptor without expensive mods, great looking truck pity about the woeful engine, it's a mismatch for the overall package, should have been class leading powerplant to stick it up Mercedes and VW, after all this is the flagship Ranger for Ford, they are selling well by the amouint of them I see on the road but would have sold a lot more with a better engine.

Pretty sure the Americans will get the 2.7 TT V6 not the 3.5 TT for their ranger raptor. It's a performance off road ute with a non-performance engine.

They have been testing a left hand drive here in dearborn, Michigan. If ford does give the u.s the raptor it will not have the 3.5 tt. I love my 2017 raptor, two other full size fords / Lincoln have the F150 raptor engine now. Im thinking the ranger might get the 2.7 ecoboost. The 3.5tt would be way to much for the ranger raptors size.

@Dave D In America where they are made and originated from they are either called a truck or pickup. The lager pickups normally get labelled a truck because they are like a small truck.

I think Ford should try the new ranger raptor here in the Philippines, we have a nastiest streets you can wver imagine. Flooded streets to test the wading depth and go to up north in Mount Pinatubo to test the suspension

You wont have as much fun with your landy.i have one.im loving it,and as for the speed,this 2Ltr engine has a kick with those 2 turbos.you will also notice a higher power when you select sports mode.

Landcruiser is not a pickup/ute. It is a SUV and if you want an SUV then a Landcruiser is a great option but it is nothing like the Ranger. Many people who do own pickups will also be using it for work, cycling, camping and so on.

Hi guys, i want to buy a used 17' Ranger T6 XLT 2.2l. It will be my daily driven car. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia which have a sadistic traffic jam everyday. I want to drive it to my office daily and sometime for off-road (i have a business outside the city). Is Ranger TOUGH enough for my needs? any advise and answers would be very appreciated. if you use it for commuting in traffic, you will have DPF issues very quickly. and that costs 3000-5000$ to replace.unless you cut it out.

Ah, it seems this car have many problems. Also i read on the internet that there is an oil pump issue also. Is that true? Are you a user? if all of that is true, I think i will forget the T6. Its not tough enough for my needs. haha Btw do you know about 7th gen Hilux? would it be a better choice? (i dont like the 8th gen, and i heard it also have some issues. I need a tough cheap small truck) or do you have other recommendation? Thank you for your comment sir, i'd really appreciate.

Boutros A none of the modern diesel trucks are suitable for commuting in traffic. you would have to remove all emission controls to make it more reliable. even dealers here advise not to buy diesel if it will be used for commuting. buy a petrol car or buy an older diesel maybe pre-2000

Pretty sure were getting the 2.3 turbo gas here for our engine. still, you can get 230+ kw and 475 nm out of it, so it will be plenty of motor.

I can understand why in Europe we get a small diesel but dunno why they wouldn’t offer a bigger option to you lot. Every time you jump it it looks like it’s just slightly too much for it too, every landing looks teeth rattling. Also unimpressed it can’t tow the full 3500kg. Good video!

US dealers will not be able to keep these on the lot. When the F-150 Raptor came out the dealer I worked at charged $5,000 over sticker for their whole '17 allotment. Sold them all.

Greco Conduris I was gonna get one next year. I live in the Philippines so we don't get F150 anything here. Not the standard one, not the lariat, and definitely not the raptor. I was really excited when I heard the ranger was gonna get a raptor version because I imagine it would have a better power to weight ratio than the F150 raptor. But then the hype came in and the truck only has a biturbo 4 cylinder. And now it looks like it costs as much as the F150 raptor does in the US. Remember the F150 raptor has an aluminum body and an eco boost engine. The Ranger raptor just has a reinforced frame. I don't think I'd spend my money on that. Seems too much for something so ordinary.

The Ranger Raptor is far more than a reinforced frame. the track has been made wider, the front suspension has alloy control arms with revised geometry for handling and the rear axle has been changed from leaf spring to a 4 link arrangement with a wattslink, like a race car setup. Then you add the fox shocks and tyres and its a pretty mean machine. As for price, I am not sure how all the exchange rates work and pricing in various markets. The F150 is certainly affordable in America, but I think its expensive to buy outside America.

Where did you hear the 3.5 ecoboost would be in Ranger? At best we’ll get 2.7 ecoboost. Haven’t heard anything official yet either as far as I know. 2.3L ecoboost is the only thing really confirmed for Ranger.

Love it but Ford needs to stop insulting Australians with the watered down version of everything. In the US they pay 70k for a proper Raptor pickup or 40k for a 750hp Roush F-150, here we pay 70k for the toy version Raptor. Stop pretending that isn’t an insult! Bring out RHD F-150s at non stupid prices where you don’t have to be a millionaire to own one.

gureno19 I’ve been told the V6 TT doesn’t fit in this generation of chassis because the turbos and exhaust hit the frame. In the video, even the 4 banger looks tight.
