Just had a ford 4000 pto shaft pulled out. This video tremendously helped me. Now to hook up and see if it stays in now. The grease on the stick. My man you are a winner. My son face was priceless when everything went together. Update Everything works great. 💪
I really appreciate this video. It really helped watching this done before diving in. I've got the exact same situation going on and was struggling to figure out what part numbers to buy. Thanks so much for your efforts here!
Great videos and well done on a good field repair. I've no idea why this video would receive 11 thumbs down. I fixed main battle tanks for a number of years and can assure you that you did great with the tools you had and the location you were in. Its a ten from me :)
I just replaced the seal in my 1986 Ford 1910 4WD. If just the seal is needing replacement, leave the shaft in the tractor and pull only the plate containing the seal, leaving the shaft in the tractor. You will avoid the possibility of the bearing fork dropping and having to fish it back into place. I know from experience.....
I’m contemplating changing my rear seal.. I have been surfing the tube looking at instructional vids. It seems that the seal should go behind the pto housing and in front of the bering.. The only reason that locking ring would bend like that is because of there space is where the seal would be...
Hi! I just need to change the oil seal. Can I do that without the shaft coming out and the coupler dropping, etc? I have almost the same tractor. Thank you!
