I appreciate all the detailed points touched on. First time seeing your channel and I am now subscribed because of the quality of detail. Thank you for the video.
In addition to locking the truck from the outside - you had the key fob in your hand outside the truck.....IF you lock your key fob in the truck (Beach or someplace you don't want to take your keys) and you lock it from the outside it disables that keyfob until the unlock code is put into the door.
That isn't a secret hiding spot for your fob it actually has a purpose. If you ever have a low battery on your fob and your vehicle won't start place it there and it will it has RF chip in which will give it enough juice to start it. Also if you ever lose your fob and purchase a new one it's how you program them for your vehicle.
I understood that the well was where you put your key to change the options in the MyKey feature. I read about that in the owners manual but never really understood what MyKey really does.
Thank you for the cleaning supplies, I will definitely put it to good use on my 2020 F250 Lariat Power Stroke. He is having an American Luxury Coach Intruder Package installed. Can't wait to get him back and try out the products!! Thanks again. I've only put 1,000 miles on it, can't wait to get my first fluid change and do some performance mods.
Folks with the door keypad should ALWAYS use the two bottom button method of locking their doors when in public. Many vehicles are stolen by people nearby your parked car...when you push a button on your key fob, a radio signal is transmitted and it travels a long way...I can start my truck from 200Ft away. That signal can be received by others who have the right equipment. Once the key codes are received, they can be used to program a generic key. Your vehicle can now be taken very easily. Use the buttons and don't transmit your codes whenever possible.
Well son of a gun, I'll be checking out a few of these tricks tomorrow! Especially the backseat latch.. I knew that thing folded down. Also the screen theme will be cool to check out. Thanks again!
I totally enjoyed and learned from your video! I have read the owners manual several times and you covered “things” that I never saw in my formal educational (book) education!!!
If the F250 system is like the F150 that's not a key fob hiding spot. That's to operate the vehicle if the fob battery dies for push start, or to program they key to the vehicle. Still lots of good info, somethings you mentioned I didn't know🤙🏾👍🏾
You're right if you have a the keyless push button ignition. My truck doesn't have that option and still takes the actual key in the ignition. So for me... it is just a secret hiding spot.
And the top hidden feature is the 10 speed transmission that goes out at 46K that introduces you to Fords new No Loaner Policy for the 1+ month while they try different things to repair or replace it. ( it is under the 3 year warranty though)
New subscriber, Super Clean! I have a 2019 F-350, and I learned a few tips from this video. BuiltRight Industries makes a very good back seat release kit.
