Thanks for this video. I was curious i have a year/month/day date and want to do forcasting per day after 2020. My dataset is aprox 29.000 cases and the seasonality is per day. Is there a way where the the define date and time is set to the actual date like in the variable?
Select “Date” from the list of variable types. Then, on the right, select the format in which the date/time for that variable should appear (by selecting the date/time format in which the values already appear). Click OK. Now SPSS will recognize the variable as date/time.
@@FarhanHaqj tried this. Did not have the desired effect. But from here i found a source that states that long and short do not match in time definitions for periodicy. So tried weeks and days calculating the right value but then the forecast had strangly low values (lower than 0 which is impossible irl) but I think I just need to let it go for this project and lear more statistics and spss im the future first. Thanks for your help.
