35:17 The pretty lady on the left: "It looks like a fish!." The pretty lady in the middle: "Yeah like a fish, we can cook it!" The pretty lady on the right: "Eeew Noooo!" It's so funny watching you ladies, keep the videos rolling in, please!
@@madeincda Depends. In Japan, the first one wasn't enough to make them surrender. It literally took a second to bring peace, so a single one literally wasn't overpower, much less overkill.
The way you all reacted when the doctor got slammed up against the glass is one of my favorite Movie Munchies moments. The screaming and pillow tossing was priceless!! I re-watched that part 4 times! haha!
When the military chaplain asked for witnesses to the marriage and you three immediately raised your hands and said you were witnesses, it was genuinely one of the most adorable things I've seen in a while. Great reaction.
Hella, I LOVE the way you get into the movie. When the Secretary of Defence objects to planting the virus you respond to him, "You got a better idea." OMG, I do love you. BTW, I'm surprised you didn't hit him with a brick.
It's a family tradition to see this film on 4th of July while having BBQ chicken pizza and hot wings washed down with root beer. It's a perfect summer action scifi film and the special effects are spectacularly chilling.
I'm so glad you picked the director's cut. It really makes the movie so much better. If you're planning on doing Aliens you should make sure you get the directors cut of it as well. It's pretty much required to really enjoy it.
I have always loved this movie, it is one I have to watch at least once a year. All the actors really nailed their parts. It also had some pretty cool special effects that make you believe it is really happening. Great reaction from you lovely young ladies, your expressions and comments were just so cool.
Honestly, I didn't notice any scene that I haven't seen before, not here anyway. Did you? Because I can't think of what it could be. Many years ago I had this movie on VHS and I can't believe it was a Director's Cut.
Really ?! I'm from India and when they played this movie in a TV channel called Star Movies here, this is the version they always played. Only now I'm knowing that it's a director's cut and not the theatrical version ;)
Fun movie, fun reactions! For a few years, the people who drove this movie to its completion (Dean Devlin and Roland Emerich) were the golden boys of Hollywood. They also did Stargate (1994) and Godzilla (1998, which I call "Godzilla vs. Ferris Bueller"). Stargate is pretty good science fiction, and its franchise has a large and loyal cult following. Godzilla is, well, Godzilla; but this one is not a children's movie.
@@davestang5454 Yeah, but watching New York City get leveled is worth the price of admission to see Godzilla. 😉 Stargate has an impressive following: It spawned three TV series, two having 7-year runs. The third one was less popular but there's talk of making a follow-on.
My favorite part of this great reaction vid was the wedding scene. Y’all were like: that’s it? Oh yeah, because the war is starting. Back to the war. 😂
Hello Hella, Chi, and your guest!😊 You ladies all look beautiful in black & white. Chi, your outfit is my favorite. Great cast and special effects, that help make this a wonderful film. Super reactions to this well made invasion film, Ladies!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 You all did a great job following this fast paced film!🏆
It’s official! You ladies are now my favorite reactors. You are so adorable and genuine. Also, I understand Hella’s name, but how do you spell the names for the other two?
I love this movie, it's 28 years old and still looks incredible 19:08 such an iconic shot lol 20:48 the audience in theaters cheered at that part for obvious reasons lol 28:51 that was mostly improv by Will and the smell he's asking about is actually coming from the dry lake bed they're on lol 46:21 one of the best speeches in cinema history, it still gives me goosebumps lol
13:03 😄Get a load of the misunderstanding. You can tell, the guy's thinkin' somethin' like, "Hey, man. Don't ask, don't tell. If that floats your boat, whatever."
Will Smith yelling out, "What's that smell," is not part of the script. He is reacting to the stench given off by billions of rotting brine shrimp that routinely die on the shore of the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
The people on top of the tower with "welcome" signs and "take me" signs 🙂 sometimes parts of the population are so disillusioned and so disappointed with with the way things are and they feel nothing is in their control and so they welcome being taken by aliens. They think "finally something good might happen, aliens have arrived!" You can see the hope on their faces. They were simply wrong this time. But some parts of the population are always hopeful, this is a good thing.
That's true, and it's actually very tragic in the movie, but the way Chi says "These people are so stupid," has been making me laugh for several days since I watched it.
You girls are so cute and sweet! I like your reactions, especially when all three of you are together. I hope you don’t mind if I have a humble suggestion: there are series that make most sense when you watch them without interruption, like “Back To The Future” as the most recent example, as usually the story links to the previous movie in the series. I like your reactions anyway and I thank you for all of them. A lot of love and a warm hug to you from Romania …
Gosh, the Nostalgia of watching this movie after so many years :)... I literally have strong memories embedded in my neurons, of watching this movie with my cousins in the summer holidays and it was some of the best time spent in my life
One of the very best sci-fi movies from back in the day. Love it, glad you ladies loved it too. Great cast, thrilling action, funny looking aliens. What's not to love ? It took an alien invasion to bring people together to battle a worldwide threat. Former president Ronald Reagan once talked about this very thing, human beings standing together, united, not fighting each other but fighting an alien threat to us all. I think he might have known something about Area 51. Maybe. Hope it never comes to that, but sure makes for an entertaining movie ! There is a sequel ladies. Look it up, give it a go. Independence Day: Resurgence. Those aliens came back with their tentacles twisted & a bad attitude. Here we go again ! WELCOME TO EARTH !
Love your reactions. You're always living the movies. About the phrase Elvis has left the building: "Elvis has left the building" is a phrase that was often used by public address announcers at the conclusion of Elvis Presley concerts in order to disperse audiences who lingered in hopes of an encore. It has since become a catchphrase and punchline. DEFCON is an alert state used by the United States Armed Forces. It increases in severity from DEFCON 5 (least severe) to DEFCON 1 (most severe). Saw this movie in the cinema on a big screen and Dolby Surround. Very impressive. See you in your next reaction. Greetings from this Dutch guy.
The main ship was 1/4th the size of the moon, which would make it 540 miles wide. That's huge. Way too big to land on earth, so that's why they sent several of the smaller ships which were 15 miles or 24 kilometers wide themselves. So each of those were the size of a small city.
@@SubterrelProspector Yes it was, but in their reaction they were debating which ship was which and the sizes, since they are used to kilometers vs miles. I was clarifying things. You could have kept scrolling, but you decided to be a douche
Hi Movie Munchies!! I love your reactions, especially to these action movies. I always look forward to your reactions to these action movies. Keep up the great reactions!! Have a good day, beautiful ladies!!
59:33 she makes a great point here, for as much as they are inspired by the movie Star Wars they missed a huge opportunity for that fun final moment at the end where everybody gets medals and the crowd. Cheers.
Thank you LADIES for an enjoyable reaction to this movie.😊😊.There is a second movie, sadly it is not quite as good, though they did bring back of the people from this one.
I was love watching your reactions. You are all dressed so nicely today! I really enjoy your enthusiasm. And although you are all very beautiful, Hella’s charming facial expressions really capture my attention. Like others have said, I would like to see you react to some Star Trek content…. maybe the original series and the movies that came from it. Also, I would love to see you react to “Big Trouble in Little China”….. it’s an action horror comedy that is set in San Francisco Chinatown…great movie
Not a great movie if u want a serious drama…a great fun romp… wonderful joyous film ❤. Ps: the first person we see, is producer Dean Devlin’s doppelgänger
4:52 Defcon has 5 levels. Defcon 5 is peace times. Defcon 4 is increased security. Defcon 3 is more increased and US Air Force is readied. Defcon 2 US ground armies are readied. Defcon 1 is Nuclear War. Normal US citizens are never told the defcon level, it is military only. I like your channel, your reactions are always great. 😄
Childhood fan here! You have just watched THE BEST alien invasion movie ever made. Very few films within the genre will impress you after seeing this. I’m glad you enjoyed! As a lore nerd, I couldn’t help but smile as you all had your questions and thoughts about what and why things happened. :)
The 4th of July is our Independence Day. The events in the movie revolve around that date. No, we didn't take the ship from them. They were an advance scout looking for new planets to raid. You are correct. The laptop computer was unique. It's an Apple MacIntosh PowerBook.
I Luv this movie! It's a great 90s sci-fi movie! The cast is great and the CGI is awesome! Love Russell Case (drunk guy) because he has the best redemption arc! Plus he saves the world!🌎 Great reaction girls you have really watched an enjoyable movie! PS- I watched this movie on its release day in Roswell NM. The crowd went wild when the city was mentioned! Great memory! I also attended the UFO🛸 festival there that summer in July! Fun Times!
Great reaction and one of my favorite movies. Whenever this is on I always have to watch it. Which country are you girls from? Your English is very good!
Absolutely love this movie. But i gotta say, stumbling across your channel and your reactions to it gave me a new found love for the experience. 1st time watcher of your channel, now subscribed 👍. You laides are great 🎉
This is my birthday tradition movie. I watched this every 4th of July. My birthday. It's about the most fitting movie you can imagine. Alien invasion, 4th of July, and one of the main characters is named Steve, just like me. Every year. A slice of pizza, and this movie. This was really fun to watch along with you guys. To me, this is the quintessential "popcorn" movie. It has everything a big budget blockbuster should have. Action, adventure, humor, suspense, thrills, romance.
Hi Hella, Chi, and Tien! That plane in the beginning is a bi-plan ("by plane"). Bi means two, so it's a plane with two wings. They are VERY fun to fly in, but it can be really REALLY bumpy sometimes because it's such a light plane.
Awesome movie,,,When I first watched it,,,I just love your Beautiful Reactions,,,Now you have to watch "Fire In The Sky",,,It's a Great film,,,Can't wait to see your Reactions to IT.....
Your reactions are so much fun to watch. On top of that, you ladies are gorgeous! 😍 I'm pretty sure you would love the 1984 series "V' and it's 2009 remake.
great reaction as always, since you are watching alien/monster movies, you need to check out Tremors. its also a 90's film, much smaller in scale but awesome none the less!
The guy who plays Jimmy is Harry Connick, Jr. He also was famous for his singing career, you should check out his music. He has a Frank Sinatra-like sound.
THE ALIEN RACE IN THE MOVIE ARE INCLUDED IN THE VERY REAL RUSSIAN ALIEN RACE BOOK BUT ACCORDING TO THAT BOOK THEY ARE A NON AGRESSIVE SPECIES.. ALSO THERES A PART 2 THAT CAME OUT I THINK IN 2016 BUT IT WASN'T AS GOOD AS THIS ONE..
I thoroughly enjoy watching your reactions, ladies. It's so refreshing to see you reacting to these movies. This movie is so much better than the second, in my opinion. What are your favorite genres of movies to react to?
You Ladies are so cute with your Reactions. During the wedding scene, when asked “where are the witnesses” you 3 simultaneously exclaimed joyfully “we’re here”… too cute I very much enjoy your Channel. Keep up the good work. ✌️
This the extended version, has some (extra)scenes not in the theatrical cut. 46:58- dad gave him "barf bags" from Air Force One for motion sickness if he needs to vomit.
In many places replanting 3 trees a legal requirement (on average only 1 in 3 survive). It depends on your local forest management. Obviously this mostly applies to commercial strip logging, not thinning out a forest. It isn't rocket science.
