Indonesia is known for its flavorful dishes. In this episode, we hit the streets searching for one of the best traditional Indonesian food: Nasi Goreng. We love eating street food, and so far, Jakarta does not disappoint. We have had many dishes with nasi goreng, so why did we seek out this one? It came highly reviewed online and by many others. We were surprised to find that this version of nasi goreng has its own unique flavor. Kelly enjoyed the vegetarian version of this dish, while everyone else had goat (kambing) in theirs, along with kambing sate skewers. Of course, Forest wanted his favorite krupuk.After dinner, we get fresh coconut water before immersing ourselves in the busy nightlife of Jakarta. We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, seven years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates.
