As the trial against Sarah Boone continued on Monday morning, forensic pathologist Sara Zydowiczz took the stand to detail her findings from the autopsy of the victim, Jorge Torres Jr., who suffocated inside a suitcase after he and Boone had been playing a game of hide-and-seek while intoxicated.

Florida woman Sarah Boone is accused of killing her boyfriend after she allegedly zipped him up inside a suitcase and left him to die. Jorge Torres Jr. suffocated to death inside Boone’s Winter Park home. Boone claims they were playing hide-and-seek, she forgot he was inside the suitcase, and she fell asleep. Video evidence from the night of Torres Jr.’s death shows the victim inside the suitcase yelling for help while Boone records the video and laughs. Boone called 911 the next day saying her boyfriend was dead. She was arrested for second-degree murder.

She was clearly drunk and I get she could have fallen asleep forgetting she’d left him in the case, but not her actions before that when she’s listening to his pleas to be let out. That was purely down to being vindictive and seeking revenge for his alleged sexting with another woman that she saw as cheating. Her state of mind was heavily influenced by the alcohol, but thankfully thats not a defence or no one would ever go to prison after killing someone while driving intoxicated.

The accused are not criminals until they are convicted. They are just people, like you and all of us. If you did not commit the crime but were still accused of it, wouldn’t you want all your rights protected? It is for the protection of those rights that defense attorneys do their job. Convicting an innocent,I.e., a person who did not commit the crime, is the number one thing our justice system tries to prevent. That has to include giving the accused all of their rights guaranteed by the constitution. Being innocent is different from being not guilty. Not guilty means the state did not prove that you did the crime beyond a reasonable doubt, not that you didn’t actually do the crime. Making the state prove their case is paramount to our criminal justice system. Think of people being tortured into confessing to a crime they didn’t commit. Think what it would be like if you could be found guilty on the word of someone who didn’t like you without the state having to prove any more evidence. What about mob violence without a trial based on the heat of the moment. These are just a few examples of why the accused are given rights.

Yes, she beat him with a wooden bat whilst he was in the suitcase. She said she also shook it violently and flipped it over. I think she also threw it downstairs too but she didn’t admit that part. 💔

@kathleenp9643 yes, and I believe she flipped it over due to the steel bars that run thru one side of the suitcase for the handle. She flipped it over to make sure he felt the blows from the bat, it wasn't hitting the bars...but hitting him.

The two neighbors said that it sounded like someone was falling down something and and the noise was going away I think she beat him with the baseball bat throw him down the stairs. And she would not remember doing any of it because she was so drunk and that is no excuse
