The Bible says in John 3:16-36 that whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life, the Bible also says in Romans 10:9 that those who declare with their mouth that Jesus Christ is their God, Lord, and Savior they shall be saved. Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH! That he died on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead 3 days later to give us eternal life.
Charlie's knowledge with swords and armor is like a kid in highschool that walked into the wrong class but too embarrassed to leave so he pretends he knows what the teacher is talking about.
To be fair, he is the same with many other subjects as well. I'm sure it's at least partly due to the nature of his work, requiring him to talk often. About anything. With absolute confidence.
Best part is there was no way they had a slowmo camera pointed at the random bit of ground the blade landed. That means you're watching a shot where someone tossed it towards the wall with their hands after the test and pretended.
That moment where the nice guy nobody had suspected suddenly turns out to be the main baddie and breaks protagonist's sword and spine in half with his thumb.
@@EDoyl I'm just imagining that the blacksmith as he's devastated that his sword got broken, the director comes in and is like "WAIT! I know how to make this better! Brenda, get the slowmo camera and throw the broken blade at the wall. It will make our show more DRAMATIC!" And the blacksmith feels just feels like he's dying on the inside and he starts crying.

@Caffeinated Wizard In the Holy Trinity there's only 3 Gods. Shrek, Ricardo Milos, and Keanu Reeves. While Lord Tachanka isn't part of the Holy Trinity he is the leader of all archangels
@Caffeinated Wizard Fool! I do not wish to partake in worshiping false Gods for there is only 3 true Gods and let's not forgot our lord and savior Lord Tachanka who commands all the Angels
@Caffeinated Wizard How adorable, to think that others are this inclined to believe in their own God. Remember, there will be only 3 Gods and those 3 Gods alone
"Your weapon...will kill" Is my dad's favorite line from that show (He doesn't really like the show anyways) He looked at me and goes, "Yeah pretty much anything with a sharp point or edge will kill....and pretty much anything else if wielded properly"
- the most stabilshed armor from the medieval times, one that can hold basicly all minor weapons and a few bows and the Second layer after all plate armours - i don think anyone would ever wear that HE EVEN PLAYED KINGDOM COME AND IN THAT GAME EVERYONE USES A FUCKING GAMBERSON
@@willianlussin8981 *gambeson, it was there to mostly under armor, to amortise blows from blunt weapons and if the outer armor did fuck up, you still had a thicc ass canvas/wool suit underneath. it's often so thicc cutting through it is a pain in the ass
Yeah, I had to stop the video for a bit when he said that. Thing was *everyone* wore that shit. If you were a peasant and couldn’t afford good armor, you wore a gambeson. If you were a noble, you wore the gambeson under your armor. Its use also goes back to antiquity.
@@someonefromtheinternet0960 it acted as primary armor for the majority of people as armies were mostly levies for a long time, only the uppers could afford chainmail and the richest could afford plate
6:40 That armor is actually one of the most common types in medieval times. It was often the bottom layer of a fully armored knight and was the single best type of armor if you were only going to wear one layer (strength, cost, mobility) so many people only wore it for their armor
at 4:00, he mentions that he would like to see the judges make something. well there is an entire season of forged in fire where the contestants face off against judges, its pretty cool. would definitely recommend
@@hughquigley5337 In a previous video, Charlie was criticizing someone who said something along the lines of "The odd of ___ happening: $1.02" I can't remember very much about it but the video is "Australian Facebook Is Mad At Me"
Charlie's reactions are usually him reacting to shit he doesn't understand and his ignorant comments are hilarious. For example, that time he didn't understand that there was a $1.02 chance that he was a 30 year old living in his parents house.
@@TestTubetheUnicorn True. A semi sharp curved or extremly sharp blade of other reasonable shape would be needed to cut through one of the thicker basic combat ones. Although the ones used under armors or possibly not so heavy civilian versions for everyday use (excluding the ones used in winters I guess) could perhaps be cut with blades of poorer quality. But even the best padded armor provides almost none protection against sharpened thrusting instruments.
@Caffeinated Wizard not necessarily, in era gambeson would have held up better but only because in era blades weren't as sharp. anyone with a modern whetstone can get a blade sharp enough to cut through.
Dale Schnieders yeah me and my dad we’re watching it and it’s actually really entertaining, they show you them making it, where they make it and how like what they use to make whatever weapon it may be, then they test it out. It’s a really good show, you should watch it
Bailey Schroeder would the sharp be better? I assume heavy wouldn’t work because he is not a big man of strength, but then i doubt he is very dexterous either. If I were him id go with quality
@@chaseblackstone8749 Personally, since Doug has a good amount of Int for his Soul Level and a lot of Faith in his abilities, he should go for a Chaos infusion
"I dont think anyone would wear that armour" That armour is called a Gambeson, and it was strong enough to stop an arrow so... yeah no, it's actually pretty good :P
The gambeson shown here is too thin for what I'm assuming is meant to be crusader armor, given that helm they were wailing on. And someone in their full armor also wore a mail shirt over the gambeson. With a good mail shirt and good gambeson you were not cutting through easily or quickly with a single handed weapon.
@@baysideplace9194 You are right. There are two problems with thst gambesson. 1) It's too thin. 2) It's stuffed/quilted, instead of having many layers of fabric. This means that between the front and back layer there is industrial textile waste material straight out of a shredder. That doesn't have the consistency of say, 12 layers of woven fabric.
Tony is my uncle. no joke it was cool on thanksgiving a few years ago to see a business card like thing that stated he was on forged in fire and what episode
Just watched Charlie's ranking medieval weapons on a tier list video and thought "dang, wish he had more stuff along these lines. That was funny as heck." AND HERE WE ARE. hahaha boutta binge these let's go.
The funny thing is i went to college with JF, and he was SUPER embarrassed about this and all the guys in our household ragged on him for it when he came around
I mean aluminum is kinda shit for any weaponry propose let alone food even. Ever have a aluminum pot that hasn't broken after a year or even heard of an aluminium knife? I sure a shit haven't
Fuck gamberson. Leather armor all the way. Why have to stitch your armor back up like some hag with pestilence when you can just buy a new leather vest when you knick your first?
The fabric armor that the blades were cutting is called gambeson and it was the most common type of armor in the medieval times. It's made from multiple layers of thick fabric and offered good protection for the wearer even if they couldn't afford chain or plate. The reason why they got slashed so easily is probably because the blades are either impressively sharp or the coat wasn't thick enough or didn't have enough layers.
the helmet one really got me mad. armor was so impenetrable that some men would DIE from exhaustion. The whole point of fighting someone who had armor was to disorient and knock down your opponent, where you then wrestle on the ground to drive a knife or sword tip through the weak points and bends in the armor
Yeah, I'm fairly sure bending in part of that helmet with the blade basically means the person wearing it is having a bad fucking day. "i dOn'T liKE tHiS hANdlE"
@@Mr-Trox if it's properly padded? Not really. The helmet is doing its job and if you went after a guy in plate with this, you're lucky if you got a single hit. This test, at most, checks if the blade will break, using glorified props to achieve it.
