I like the idea that in these many thousands of years that Khorne has kept his one of the great kurgans sons, that this boy has grown up and was raised in the brass citadel. And whilst he has bathed in blood, he never grew stronger than a strong mortal man without khornes blessings. And Khorne forgot about this brother, leaving him to labour in the workshops of the Brass Keep. The brother became obssessed with the idea that the throne of chaos, powered by the blood he could spill for khorne, could ascend him to finally become strong and worthy of khornes blessings. One day, in the brass citadel, khorne's chosen (not the unit) held a brutal battle for their fathers enjoyment. And a champion ascends to conquer all others, only for a challenger to appear, clade in mechanical constructions, to rip and rend this champion through in seconds. Khorne was not amazed, but he was impressed with the speed of which the blood had flown to grant the Kurgans son permission to head out into reality, but he did not grant him any army, only a daemonic advisor to follow him. However, many of the remaining khornate champions in his hall that had fought in the arena followed him out into the chaos wastes, where he eventually conquered some people, built those cool ships, and headed for clar klarond to start his journey.

Really? Because the title is misleading. They only go over the khorne brother. You could still participate in the slaanesh and tzeentch brothers. And by participate, I mean in discord leading up to the streams too. (no place dedicated to talking about tzeentch brother yet. Probably won't be a place for that until next week)

Random thought: when he finishes his quest and builds the throne, part of his perceived triumph/symbolic downfall could be him having the power to finally stop his constant bleeding. So him ascending has this element of an ending to his suffering but in reality the suffering was what was largely of value to Khorne in the first place. I could see the bleeding stopping being the last straw for his underling, as surely this guy could not be in the image of Khorne if he willingly makes the bleeding stop.

Just some ideas that I think could be fun if you guys continued this concept - How would you make Malal if he stayed, his deamons, followers, philosophy, etc. - Making/expanding on your versions of Ind, Khuresh, Nippon, Fishmen, etc - How would you fix the end times (I don’t know if you covered that on your End Times stream) These are just some ideas, feel free to use these

Love the way the Khorne brother shaped up here! A few ideas did pop into my head while watching in regards to both story and unit/character ideas. The first thing that came up were in regards to the low tier Flayerkin reference. I figured calling the units Flayer Cults, would be a simple way to go. Cultists of the dark gods who skin their sacrifices alive, wear their skins, and then hoist the flayed bodies up on the blood machines to let them slowly bleed out and feed the daemonic engines. For the brother's mount, another idea struck me. The talk of it being an augmented euripterid hit a really cool idea in me that his mechanical graftings to "make it better" gift it new abilities like the breath attack and maybe even flight, creating the first and only Scorpion Drake. And while the Khorne champion may have his own small bit of sympathy for the creature he "saved" its existence is constant agony and much like the thrall he made of the former leader the creature bares no true connection to its rider and is all but a suffering automaton until its death. Speaking of his allies, I have quite a few ideas for the Dark Elves. The Dreadlord from Karond Kar that joins up with him, I've given the name Arnyra Helnirath. And astride her tamed sea dragon Brakenmaw, her model could even serve as a dual kit for a generic Dreadlord on a Sea Dragon. I like the idea that she is rather antagonistic with the Khorne champion, only really tagging along to get him away from Karond Kar and to pursue her own collection of slaves and treasure. Perhaps she even brings her own Black Ark. But since that clearly cannot be brought over land, and a large number of the elves must circle around the Southlands to reach the Temple of Skulls along the Mangrove Coast. Which would leave the Champion to face the Tomb Kings and a brutal first fight with the LIzardmen without a significant amount of backup. This would be a perfect time for him to really put his brains to use as he won't be able to just smash through with raw numbers like Tamurkhan did in a lot of situations. He'd have to pick and choose which war machines are the most important to keep moving across the desert, leaving those that run out of fuel as massive metal hulks half buried in the dunes. Perhaps even at the first battle with the Lizardmen, the cracks in his calm and focused anger start to show as he thinks the treacherous Druchii have abandoned their agreement. Only for the Black Ark to appear on the coast and unleash hell upon the other side of the temple city. And of course when the thrall betrays the Champion and cuts him down, maybe even tossing his body into the grinding engine of his mechanized throne before it all collapses in on itself, the dark elves see the Khornites start to just lose it and devolve into butchering eachother and decide to bail. Though maybe they get ambushed and whittled down the whole way back to their Black Ark by vengeful skirmish forces of surviving Lizardmen. Speaking of the Lizards, it isn't much but I think it would be badass if the Slann defending the temple summoned a Couatl defender to protect the city. This would of course give the Lizardmen a new Couatl model to use. And I think the idea of in the final battle the Khorne Champion engages the Couatl in battle over the city astride his Scorpion Drake, leading to them crashing down into the Temple itself, killing the Couatl and his mount and leaving him to face the likely exhausted Slann himself. And while I do think his thrall former leader should kill him, it shouldn't be a stab in the back. Khorne doesn't like cowardly backstabbings, hence Scarbrand. But I think a scene of the now fully cognizant thrall marching up the steps of the mechanized throne towards the Champion as he gloats and pontificates his superiority and glory just to notice the thrall headed right at him and right before he can spit some manner of abuse at the thrall he finds a blade driven into his gut. Then we get the sealed mouth tearing back open for the "Khorne cares not from where the blood flows" quote, as the thrall tears the Champions head clean off and hurls his body into the engine of his own machine. The thrall then roars his victory, displaying the Champion's brass skull to the sky as the contraptions malfunction and begin to collapse in on themselves while the Khornites devolve into wanton bloodshed for their dark god. I hope that at least some of these might be to your liking, and seriously can't wait to see what comes of the other two brothers and the story as a whole!

Two things I'd like to say I love from this idea: - A Khornate lord fueled by a cold, calculating rage. Granted I'm newer to the lore than some, but my first taste of this idea came from the Neferata: Dominion of Bone AoS book with the demon prince Graunos. I really do feel like Khorne embodies so much more than just a blind, unthinking rage. - A Khornate lord that deals in creating machines of war. WW1 was really the first fully industrialized war, and the scale of the destruction is why it was "the war to end all wars" (at the time, of course). I know that some people might feel this encroaches a bit into Hashut's realm, but I would honestly argue it's the nature of divinities to have overlapping domains. This stream alone really got the gears turning in my brain! Can't wait for the others :)

You 2 have made a lot of amazing streams, but this one is at least in the top 3! This concept of you guys spitballing lore and thinking out concepts is an amazing thing to do every once in a while. It kinda stimulates the DM parts of my brain too. Some ideas: - how would you re-introduce Malal? What would his army be like? - same thing with Fimir (just scrap the unpleasant bits) - the hobgobla khan - maybe something around Albion? Like how would you write the island and the conflicts on it? - what would current Cathay do in the end times?

There's an few interesting points I came up with during stream: There's a delicate but interesting thread to be played with present in the character you designed to do with cycles of abuse. I personally love the idea of taking this character who was very much abused, who comes to view Khorne as a tilted father figure, always kind of shaking his fist at bullies saying, "ooo, dad's going to get you," not realizing he himself is just a cog in Khorne's machine. This works particularly well if he's a big infighting character, because a lot of Khorne characters (to my limited reading) come across as not really getting the "khorne cares not from where the blood flows" bit. Particularly for a character who has a major conflict with Druchii early on, I love the idea that he starts north of Naggarond, is captured, and is sacrificed by Ghrond by slitting his throat and being cast into a cauldron of blood, but Khorne has other plans - Khorne isn't some rampaging brute, after all, he's a MF'ing timeless god - and that's when he grows his gills, but his slit throat never heals. Maybe this is when he gets his brass bones, so he sinks to the bottom, but regardless, his presence screws the spell over and the Druchii suffer some terrible loss at the hands of a minor khorne-aligned tribe, who captures this character a few decades before the events of the main book. This could also explain why he knows why raiding season is a good time to attack! The idea that he has some sort of shark theme is dangerous to me because it really risks intruding on Stromfel's demense, and I actually think there's a much better option for a northerly foe. Orcas! Famous for their cruelty and their ability to take on much physically larger opponents, as well as their intelligence, orcas would be an excellent companion to this guy, as well as having some text about "dark shapes in the waves like clotted blood." Also, this character touches on some stuff that I love in the world that was, like Tomb Kings, Dark Elves, and Vampires! Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot of ways to plug him into non-Coast stories, but I love the idea of a minor character (on his side or against it) being a vampire that's convinced he's the perfect prize. I don't think Blood Knights would be quite right (he is not an impressive monster), so I almost like the idea of a Lahmian serving as something of a false idol that he resists and eventually kills, but is something of a deuteragonist. On the other hand, I'm sure a Necrarch would love having an anti-magical bloodbag on a leash to fend off rivals. As something of a sidenote here, I almost think the High Elves should have a chance to stop him earlier, but refuse to do so because he's going to attack the Druchii. If you don't work in many, many references to Jules Verne, my girlfriend will flay me alive, so please do that.

The Ursun idea is crazy because I was thinking about the Slaanesh character's ending during this stream in the skein of him being successful in their goal but getting teleported far away so someone else gets to relish the victory instead, thereby leaving the Slaanesh brother bitterly unsatisfied. Bel'akor claiming the god-bear from them is perfect (because Bel'akor) and because he has a known gimmick with portals (at least in TW).

I love Khorne and I've always fantasised of some champion that embodies his theme of "industry of death". In 40k they kind of lean harder on that, since most Daemon engines are khornate, but I've always wondered why no one thought to apply it to Warhammer Fantasy. After all, the brass scorpions are made in the Warp and summoned like any other Daemon, they should have appeared in Fantasy just like the Soul Grinder ages ago (I feel they'd have added it with Khorne's Throne of Chaos book, but alas)

I wish I was at this stream cause this gave me so many ideas. I think that this would be a great character to bring in one of Khorne’s smithing type demons and have that be part of this brother’s ultimate creation that kills him. He could’ve bound the smith demon into some vessel or body via his own chaos Khorne mutations and personal genius and he manipulates it to the point that it’s able to absorb metal, blood and oil into itself to formulate weapons on it’s body and could even integrate weapons on the battlefield into itself like grafting them to it’s arms and legs including magical weapons. You could even get weirder with it and have it be that he encounters the Forest Goblins like you guys suggested and he takes an Arachnarach or even the chaos champion from the start of the story and forces the demon into them which forces it to constantly graft weapons to itself slowly turning into the pseudo creature version of the Game of Thrones throne

there is an style I always thought would be an interesting contrast, but some of it has been covered before. A Khorne champion or daemon prince that constantly bleeds from their wounds they suffered from duels by worthy champions, so their skin is drained corpse white. and a female Nurgle Daemon prince, but mainly a I want a physical aspect of starvation and pestilence that looks more like a grim reaper than a bloated corpse. a giant looming anemic presence, cloth flowing with the winds of magic greatly reducing the toughness of enemies then using that vitality to create new life like swarms of flies, converting defeated units into plague bearer.

one thing you didnt get much into, is the main adversary for the khorne champion. I would like to see a foil to the khornate in the form a skink tinker type character who was born with more instinctual knowledge of old one tech then your average skink. We could get some new old one tech units for the lizardmen. Like old one catapults, some sort of fusion bomb magno slinging catapult system, or maybe a rail gun these would be slow firing low ammo but devesting siege platforms pulled maybe by a new dino.

I feel like his shark mutation could be like a cookie cutter shark, kinda keeps with a parasite theme that could be different with each brother. Tamurkhan was literally a parasite taking over dead bodies (until he didn't.) Khorne brother leeches off his inventions to spill blood for him and when he's done with them, moves on to the next one (like a cookie cutter shark. Of which his face-shark mutation could be a sort of physical representation) Etc. etc. Also, the Tzeentch brother could be messing with the other three, then once their plots are foiled, someone messes up his plot and he's like "Who?" and it could be Sayl again, since you guys mentioned wanting him in their for Khorne brother, why not all of them? And then Sayl could be revealed to be (maybe, possibly, idk) Be'lakor all along? Just random ideas I had watching this today. No idea if they're feasible.

Also thought of a slaanesh champion that leaned more into being an artist. Not quite sure how that would be done--maybe use that brushogun character from teen titan?--and play with that. One of his main challenges might be about dealing with doubt. This could be about whether his work is actually great, if slaanesh will approve of how far he has cone etc. Slaanesh is often just egotists, so maybe a character that is more self aware would be interesting

For Tzeentch I have come up with something: A beastman (beastmen can be born from humans so one of the brothers could perfectly be one) who is a runesmithing genius but who uses runesmithing into organic matter, converting men on living bombs and things like that. As for a mount, he wouldn't have a mount but he would use his runesmithing to turn a nearby living being into a supermutated chaos spawn and use it as a temporary mount. This brother would seek to use the Fimir as allies to use their magical fog to infiltrate cities and bombard them from within. In the end he would die from losing Tzeetch's favor because he was leading the world towards a situation that was very difficult to change and too stagnant for Tzeetch's liking. As for who to attack, it could attack the high elves since the high elves also use magical mists and this could be the justification that cements the search for the Fimir. The ultimate goal could be to use the vortex to forge a monumental runic spell using the elven corpses and the souls of the Waystones to break the prophecy and attempt to kill Archaon in the process. PS: If you soak the gills you cannot breathe with them outside of an aquatic environment. For your idea of the brother chosen by Khorne to work you would have to change the idea of the gills for skin breathing because for skin breathing you need to be moist and the blood that constantly drips would keep him moist. PS2: I'm too sleepy to think of anything for Slannesh but the brother should have a basilisk as a mount, be a poison junkie and be obsessed with creating more powerful poisons and drugs.

The more popular the series gets the harder it is to enjoy it due to all the interrupting mega chats. I understand they are making these for money, and reading them asap helps in making more. And I'm happy they are earning a good penny. But it makes it really difficult to follow the main storyline of the stream. Hear me out. Slaaneshi champion through the lens of a Prideful Hunter/Tamer, riding a kraken or some other big tentacley beasty

Going Khorne, I'd say a fleet mistress of Viking longships. Discarding ranged weapons, they go full speed at sea monsters and other ships, literally ramming into them to lodge them together and get to the fist fight or to start crawling on the monster to start cutting into them. All while the khornate warriors die in droves and the blood flows on.

The only thing about this i didn't like is the timing. This is a horrible stream time for me in Europe 😢.

Think you guys got a little too excited with the whole different aspects of the chaos gods we rarely explore. A mecha daemon khorne guy sounds cool but it doesnt really fit with the tribal warlords that the 4 brothers were.

Really loved the khorne brother !! For the Slaanesh one, I have an idea, He has a big family that he truly loves and he manipulates events to protect them whether they want it or not (some of them were in Nuln or in Araby, hence why he blocked his brothers using storms). Make it so this extended family is not always corrupted (the champion of Nuln could have been one of them with his Norse heritage). He would use mirrors to travel and spy. You could make Nastasya (the slaaneshi character that thinks she is the true daughter of Boris) one of his descendants, so he wants her to become Kislev's ruler. Ursun objects and comes out to set things right. The slaanesh brother manages to capture him, exploiting its love of Kislevites. But in that moment, he realizes that Ursun is not so different from him (perhaps we could have darker moments of how Ursun "protects" its people). Or it could be that he never truly cared about pure power or the thronrle. He hesitates and gets stabbed by Nastasya, the daughter he loved. In his final breath, he curses her to become a chaos spawn. Bel'akor might have been the instigator and benefits from it all. The end. Sayl could be disguised as one of the Kislev male wizards he picks up along the way. In a certain way, this character would be all about family ties and obsession. I want to move away from pure evil parental figures (he could still be misguided, but it should be clear he loves his descendants/adopted children). He does care and would denounce Kislev current rulers and practices. I could see him being an hypocrit humanist. For his mutations, I would see him as floating mirror pieces forming a man (each shard reflecting on of his descendant that he spies upon). Or else a storm of clothes and fabrics from all different origins, but nothing inside of it (it would emphasize his trickster attiude; he is his clothes/disguises).

Regarding the trans/tzeentch suggestion: Forcing trans inclusivity, when the whole basis of the characters transness is not bc they were born in a body of the wrong gender, but bc they want to escape a prophecy and may not actually be a woman is rather.... unsavory. Although there could be something to it if the story evolves in such a way to say that the character is still considered one of the sons bc while they might have changed, they still believe they are a man, and only changed not bc they truly are trans, but rather were simply pretending to be. Regardless, I really worry that the only representation we tend to get for genderqueer folk in warhammer tends to be exclusively chaos related

Chaos is just the most inclusive faction.

Mephisto (change the name later). He is weak and looks small, a kind of generic cultist. He wears no Khorne symbols and no chaos iconography. He walks around the world and this man, an old man, he preaches. Preaches of good and kindly things, but those things lead to war. He calls for better crops, but notes that this lord of the nearest castle has good crops. And if someone where to take those... Or he calls for healthy men, and notes that healthy men should do a lot of training and fighting and running... And it leads to infighting. Or he says that there is this hero, he is looking for, and he thinks that one of the local knights is that hero, but he cannot know who it is, so why don't they fight and discover, who it really is. So a common old man, who via speeches pushes people to infighting. And if someone where to attack him, he actually has a nigh impenetrable armor under his garb. And he can fight, like Gandalf fight in LotR movies fight. But usually he does not fight, instead he starts screaming that an old man is being beaten and people around him begin to fight for him, in his defence, and that whole mess leads to bloodshed. And children and very yang men are especially vulnerable to his words, so they are the first to fight and die, so he gets a lot of blood to flow and good skulls for Khorne. The problem is he does not need an army, so he is not much of a lord, but maybe if he spills enough blood, one day he will be risen to demonhood and sit the throne of chaos. I don't know, just throw things at the wall here.

I have to take a moment to emphatically disagree that Tzeentch should be last/ the most important. Tzeentch has been given lots of love, narrative importance and a host of interesting and unique characters as well as being potentially the most powerful god in some contexts. Tzeentch always has the last laugh and Tzeentch always wins. Which makes it a boring conclusion for me personally. Slaanesh on the other hand has been purposefully ignored by GW, cast down as a chaos god at some point, and I can count the number of named Slaanesh characters on my fingers. Slaanesh has so many domains, but only pain and pleasure are spoken of, and among those, only pain is shown or spoken of in any great measure for fear of ratings, ironically. Slaanesh has been treated as a god of torture and nothing else. They have been shown as consistently weak and always bullied by their brothers, and their champions are always humiliated or accomplish nothing of note. Slaanesh always loses in any chaos competition, which is why I think that this time, if there was going to be a surprise conclusion to the throne of chaos, it would be the winner we all least expect. Slaanesh.

Alternatively, if you have to make Tzeentch the big finale, make it so that their meddling with the other chaos powers and waiting for them to expend themselves is their downfall. They fail because they are treacherous and sneaky instead of learning from and utilizing his brothers’ strengths.
