Pokèpark 2 is WAAAYY better than the first game. Like the world feels more like an actual Pokémon society, there’s an actual antagonist and but stakes, you can play as 4 different Pokémon. One of my favorite pokemon games!

you will literally never understand how much i love pokepark and pokemon conquest id literally cry my eyes out if gamefreak ever even so much as uttered their name ever again that's how low the bar and desperation have become.

You don't need to play Pokepark one to understand Pokepark 2, but if you intend to play both anyway, I suggest starting with the first one. Pokepark 2 has a wildly different vibe and system, and in my opinion is more fun than the first, but the first also has its merits and I wouldn't want its fun to be spoiled by its sequel. Please play them! They're incredible. edit/// i think it's a CRIME that you don't mention PBR's iconic soundtrack. I hear the colosseum music being reused in youtube videos ALL the time! And all of the tracks are AWESOME.

The Pokemon Ranger series is still my favorite pokemon spinoff series to this day, I used to play Shadows of Almia all the time when I was a kid, I loved the story, the music, etc, heck, I even love it even more than all the Mystery Dungeon games. Definitely an underrated series. 😅

imo part of Pokemon Conquest's appeal comes from the side stories you unlock after completing the main storyline! You can input codes to encounter specific pokemon, and you can try to get each character their best-match pokemon.

The pokemon Rangers games we're probably my favorite spin-off. 10/10 for all 3 for me

Fun fact! The Mario Party DS minigame, Goomba Wrangler, has similar gameplay to the Ranger games- and the French name for it is even called "Goomba Ranger".

Pokemon conquest I miss you

Finally, someone that remembers Pokemon conquest! I love that game so much. I got it on my birthday when I was like 5 or 6 so I barely knew how to play it, but I had a great time anyways :) I go back to it now and then and I'm so glad to have it. It's actually a crossover between Pokemon and another series called Nobunaga's Ambition and the gameplay is heavily inspired from that series down to the conquering/territory gaining and battle system.

I love Pokemon Conquest. I wish the pokemon company would try polishing the game and making a new Gen version

I recently filled my pokemon ranch with 1000 pokemon to get a mew. Was definitely a fun project! Helped feed my love for pokemon diamond and I basically ended up 100%ing the game in my venture.

Aw, Pokemon Conquest is one of my favorite spin-off pokemon titles. Hearing you didn't like it is disappointing, but you have to really be into RTS in order to get into it, so I understand it being rather niche.

also x and y had a good amount of hype behind them compared to the bottoming out of black and white. It was finally the jump to 3d which was crazy, memes of being able to sit was insane. Also megas were a huge thing.

I remember My Pokemon Ranch because I used to play it every morning before going to school. My old best friend from elementary school transferred some of his pokemon onto my ranch over a decade ago and they're stuck there forever now because he moved to a different country.

God i love this era. Pokepark is a pretty neat mini game collection. Ranger is genuienly a cool series. Xd gale of darkness and colosseum are beloved with a super unique catching mechanic.

as a big fire emblem and final fantasy tactics fan, pokemon conquest is genuinely one of my favorite spin offs! its not really a genre that lends itself to easily adapt what makes Pokemon "Pokemon" but for a tactics game with a pokemon skin its a lot of fun!

When I bought my 3DS used off eBay in around 2014, it came with a copy of Guardian Signs. I didn't touch it a single time until probably around 2020 or so. And honestly I really wish the Ranger series got more love now. I didn't get to play it when it came out and wrote it off as a child's game, but it's truly one of the most charming and intriguing side series they've ever cooked up for the franchise.

Fun fact: Pokemon Dash had Munchlax in it before it was officially added to the series in gen 4. It was also in the gen 3 anime. Purty cool

Truth be told, PokePark was actually my first Pokemon game, so despite imagining going back to it now with the awkward Wii remote controls, I still have very fond positive memories of it. And I know TPC is disgusted by the very concept of just giving people what they want, but man, I just really want a new PokePark game so much. Whether it be another sequel, a remake/port of the first two games, or maybe even a different approach to a 3D collectathon platformer with Pokemon, I just want it back ;w;

I remember seeing all these spinoffs and being sad that I couldn't afford most of them back at the time. At least I got to play Pokemon Ranch, Battle Revolution, Coliseum, and played the DS ones on my flashcart.

I love gens 3-5, but I will forever place Colosseum and XD on a pedestal above the others. The gritty world, the rpg focused story, the spin on the gameplay, the incredible music... something about it all hits insanely hard for me.

I feel I was one of the very few people who’s played Pokemon Dash. As a kid, I did enjoy a new concept being made with Pokemon, especially with the DS touch screen feature being used. I wish Pikachu wasn’t the only Pokemon playable in that game

I still remember Pokemon Dash and I will admit the game could've had potential if they just allowed you to choose other pokemon than just playing as Pikachu. They could've even made a sequel where new pokemon were added and some other mechanics like using attacks to stun racers or increase your speed over time

pokemon in 96 was bigger than pokemon go. When it came out it became like an overnight sensation. Thus those games sold better than any other pokemon games. It got so big that people thought all anime was pokemon and even handheld gaming being considered pokemon. Could you imagine if pokemon go cost $75 per person to play to still hit the tens of millions in sales? It was peak and has never gotten close to that. Through those days thery were in the macys day parade which was one of the biggest honors back in the day

I played Pokepark co-op with a friend as a teenager and I think it really made the experience for us. I feel it was made to be a co-op game for sure. wouldn't have enjoyed it as much otherwise. the story was "simple" because iirc isn't Pokepark based off that one cute little story where Pikachu and all the other Pokemon friends go to a park and it featured no trainers or humans the entire thing it was just all Pokemon interacting and playing together? being kids? I thought the "simple" dialogue and plot was very much on purpose to go with that childlike theme and it fit so well. It still blows my mind how many people missed these games. People know about pretty much every other spin off but have never heard of Pokepark. I'd genuinely love to see a reboot of it on modern hardware that isn't plagued by bad motion controls with a harder push on the co-op experience. Maybe even an online mode where someone each plays as all the different characters. Such wasted potential that one

I would argue that Pokemon Ranger is not simplistic as conveyed. It’s has its own complexities. The elements from assist Pokemon in the overworld and in capture mode. Also play Pokepark 1 then two. Don’t skip around.

As a kid i had a subscription to the pokemon magazine, and they advertised pokemon ranch a bunch. I never got the chance to play it (due to being a broke kid and not having my own ds until later) but i remember being very desperate to try it.

I only remember Pokepark 2 because Nintendo chose to advertise that instead of Rhythm Heaven Fever

as a self-described PokeManiac, let me tell you how I feel about the thumbnail games before watching the video, then I'll edit to add any games not in the thumbnail that may or may not be mentioned. Battle Revolution- never played, but I have a poster of it in my room at home. Ranger- I believe I played a bit of one of the ranger games, but what I'm most upset at is the odds of me getting a Manaphy Egg are next to none. The Pokemon Ranger Manaphy is considered one of- if not the number one- most difficult shiny hunts to even do. Let me explain: first, you have to beat the entire game. Then, you need to do a mission to get the egg. Then you need to transfer the egg to a 4th gen game. It will never be shiny on this first game, so you have to transfer it to a second 4th gen game. Save before hatching the egg. If it isn't shiny, reset. Then transfer the egg to a different save of a 4th gen game. 1/8192 odds, and every time it isn't, you have to trade it to a different cartridge, reset the first cartridge and play until you can trade. Oh, and if you think it could be easier if you have more than one egg? HA! The event is once per CARTRIDGE. Once the event is done, you can NEVER get that egg again without hacking. It's a holy grail for shiny hunters, and it becomes harder to get every year. Dash- never played, looks decent enough, not really my thing. PokePark- I owned that and played it for a while. It was cute, pretty fun! EDIT: Pokemon Ranch- actually, there was a shiny hunting event recently started by a ribbon master, and it was called Ranch Week. Shiny hunting for Pokemon that could go into Ranch. Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness- don't think people forgot about that one. Trozei- I wanted that game Pinball Ruby and Sapphire- sure there was a GameBoy Pokemon Pinball... I feel that Pokemon Pinball just doesn't work for me. Conquest- I owned that game for a short time. One of the characters has a shiny rayquaza [note: Colosseum and onward, as far as my notes, were from me looking at the chapters so I can stop editing this comment several hours after I started. I got distracted. If I repeat stuff in the video, sorry I didn't get past the Ranger section yet.]

Damn, now i want to play the pokemon ranger trilogy. I grew up with all three of these games and my original DS had circles scratched into the touch screen from them. I'd also argue that Shadows of Almia reworked the captures to make them easier. You were always better off not picking up the stylus but only in the original did picking up the stylus reset any progress to 0. Also the pokemon could always attack the stylus and you always had support pokemon during captures. Clearly I played these games WAY to much as a kid.

I bought a used copy of pokemon ranger shadows of almia from GameStop when I was in fifth grade, totally loved it, beat it and gave it to a friend who said he was surprised he enjoyed it so much

IMO Colosseum & Gale of Darkness are still my favorite pokemon games I got immediately on release.

Haven’t forgotten PBR. Honestly, the best Stadium game ever. I still play it every now and then with my Platinum. REALLY wish they kept it going for each generation or at least every other gen. Like come on, who didn’t like the Stadium games? The animtions, models and especially the announcer are too much fun! 🤩

XD: Gale of Darkness was responsible for getting me back into the series after having only played Stadiums 1 and 2 and Snap for the N64. I never owned any of the handhelds. I was interested in Colosseum after seeing commercials for it back when it was new, but I didn't get my hands on it until after XD.
