Love you boiiii! So dope to see where you’re at today . Me and Will lm went through treatment together, sober living , and we moved in together after we got out of sober living. We’ve been through hell and back together, and he’s like a brother to me now. I’ve never laughed so hard with anyone ever in my life. Experiencing life completely sober for the first time after years and years and years of having some sort of substance in our bodies at all times, it’s a surreal experience. I remember being in group , and sometimes we wouldn’t even be able to look at one another without breaking out laughing uncontrollably over some inside joke. For those reading this thatre still struggling with addictions, If people like Will and myself were able to get sober, trust me, you can too. We made it through, and look at him now ! The fact that we are alive today to talk about war stories, etc., is a blessing. I know Will is going to succeed in whatever endeavors he pursues, it’s the type of guy he is. I believe our past experiences molded us into the people we are today, and I honestly wouldn’t change it.

I randomly came across a clip of his interview on TikTok and I instantly had to find the whole thing. This was incredible. As a recovering addict thank you for sharing your story and thank you doing what you do. ❤ I’ll say this after listening to this podcast fully…When Will was asked “Do you think if you went to college things would have been different?”…His response made my whole soul happy. I always tell people this at the end of the day I did things all the way WRONG. But I’m so grateful for ending up at the bottom of the barrel. If it wasn’t for being at the bottom and seriously receiving the true gift of desperation I would never be the woman, the mother, the sister, the daughter, the friend I am now. So for being at rock bottom I’m forever grateful. Things could have gone very different. But they didn’t. Here I am in 2023 and have been clean since May 18,2016. My parents completely cut me off. I HATED them for it in active addiction. Now I’m so grateful. I pray everyday I never have to experience that as a mother of a teenage boy. I still hold so much regret for my own child. I have vowed I’ll be the mother now to my son that my parents have been to me. I’m going to edit this for the 900th time THANK GOD FOR YOU AND CONNOR. I hope I spelled his name right. Anyway good for you both and this world needs more people like you guys.

Great to see another person clean and doing well. I quit oxy in 2008 and went on a Sub program/Doc thinking I was doing the right thing and actually being clean. I wasn't using oxy but I wasn't clean. Once I saw people selling the pills and then strips I realized I traded addictions. I quit suboxone July 11th 2012, I can't begin to explain the sick. It took months to feel like a human again. It was coming off Oxy 160+ MG a day min every single day 100 times over. I would never recommend Subs to anyone at this point. Not to mention they neglected to mention the horrific teeth damage it does. Now I need about $9,000 in dental work. However God Blessed me with an amazing woman who's been with me 16 years and supportive beyond belief. The most difficult moments of getting off subs she supported me. I was in a bad accident that should have killed me. I am in pain daily. Then I was shot in a random attack against her and I. Still on going legal case against the shooter. This was my 2022 lol, and had probably 4 different times I could have legally been prescribed 30s or other opiates and I'm proud to say I turned them down each time. When I was shot I did receive morphine 4x in the hospital but I did have a 9mm hollow point tear through 2 muscle groups in my thigh. I left the hospital with 5 days of 5mg oxy. I took one the night I got home about 24 hours after getting shot to get up the steps and have her change my dressings. That I don't count as a relapse, some may. But the other 4-3/4 days worth of oxy never got touched even on a walker and cane. I refused because I feared so much I would fall into silencing the emotional pain and confusion of the attack with pills. I am in therapy and working through this without a drink or drug. Her and I communicate the struggles we have from tge shooting and our shooter being free on bail after firing 9 shots at us. Unprovoked, no words, no warning. We saw the gun and ran. I heard bullets passing my head. I'm blessed to be writing this. Again congrats on your sobriety and the kind words you have shared to others. God bless you and your family. 🙏

Dude is 100% correct about Kensington. I have talked to many addicts who went to score in Kensington and "got stuck". Many will go down for a day and if they survive it will be 5-10 years. It's surreal place for those who have never seen it. Great interview.

Sending ppl to rehab and paying them is not preying on them for their downfall. As an addict myself this sounds fantastic. I’m functioning so I have a job a car a place….etc so w all my bills I really can’t afford to go but if someone gave me 5k for a month of rehab it’d be way better than the situation I’m in and I could still pay my bills. Nowadays you have to pay to go and I can’t afford it.

Amazing podcast! I love that you've been working with more recovering addicts. I am currently a heroin and it's struggle to say the. These kinds of interviews help me out more than you can understand. When your constantly sitting in a dark room shooting heroin, crack and meth, there's not a lot if hope in my life. The feeling of sitting there and being confident that everything is gonna be okay, that just not something that organically pops into my head or feel. But seeing these guys with similar stories as me gives me hope. Your helping me so much without even realizing it. Thank you so much! Keep doing your that and I'll keep supporting you. Much love bro

Body brokering in a nutshell: The rehab is breaking you off a piece of what they are being paid by your insurance. These payments are made through a third party "recruiter" that The rehab works with. The longer you stay at the rehab, the more money you get. Examples: Stay 5 days $300, 2 weeks $800, 30 days $2k. Many of these people had it down to a science.

This was a good interview, but something that has become absolutely clear is that people want to see CRIME stories told by criminals. To prove this point, Ian had Chevy Chase on, it was the 2nd lowest watched interview on his channel. Crime stories told by criminals is where it is at.
@taylorrenee4880
@taylorrenee4880 11 месяцев назад
That Chevy interview was lame, that’s why. It seemed like he barely did any research and it was just awkward. And it was only 2 weeks ago as well. If it had been Bill Murray he wouldn’t have had to say a word and gotten 10 million views by now.

I didn't OD but, the near death experience he talks about I also experienced... I was a teenager and I fell off a tailgate and landed on my head.. had a severe aneurysm and bleeding out of my ears and nose... I remember feeling like I was watching everything... I watched the ambulance and watched my friends crying and hoping I was OK all from above or like an aerial view... like wait that's me they're watching... that and one of my friends saying "they wouldn't let go" was the only thing I remember for 4 days..... the paramedics cut one of my favorite baseball jerseys off when they got to the scene and I just remember being mad seeing my jersey cut apart sitting in my hospital room... makes ya feel like there is life after death or at least lingering....

1:00:15.. he mentioned the horse farms in the nice rehabs. Well, I work at a state funded facility. We don’t have a horse farm, we just have a cat with one eye that stays pregnant 😝 We ain’t got the resources for horses. It’s a tad raggedy, but I enjoy going to work everyday to help people who want to get clean & put their lives back together. It’s awesome.

This dude sounds like a AA meeting. Hate that sHit when ppl get clean and they go a wall about recovery and they speak certain ways, says certain things like do you blame your parents divorce “ before yes, BUT TODAY I TAKE OWNERSHIP” stfu 🤦‍♂️it’s yes or no did your parents divorce fuck you up and turned you into a kid that you prob wouldn’t of been, yes. Okay into the next. Like da fuck I can own my own my shit all I want but I know at the end of the day my parents divorce fucked me up in so many ways that my life and myself changed forever!!!! If they didn’t get divorced my life and myself 99.9% chance would be completely different!!! I own my shit but I know for a fact that I wouldn’t of done shit I did or have the mental issues I did if the first 10 years of my life with my parents and family continued till I was a adult!! My life, my family, the person I was, was a complete 180 once they divorced. Not because oh they split so sad. But all the years of shit that happened during the divorce cause it took 3 yrs plus after that! No matter how easy it is to blame shit on others, when your a child you cannot mentally handle things like an adult, you can’t understand or differentiate. You can’t even escape cause you’re a kid!!! You can’t just walk away. This dude sucks all it is his addiction story he tells at all the AA NA meetings
