I was at the Delta Center welcoming party and it was beautiful! We welcomed them with all we had and this is gonna be so great. I hope we make them happy here.

I used to be one those who were mad that the NHL spend so much capital on Arizona. But over the years seeing young players coming out of the area I think it was worth it but the owners they have had were just awful. Before they go back they need something better than that.

Thanks for your words. As a die-hard Yotes fan since 1996, I wouldn't want another team here until every single member of the Board of Governors meet with the owner(s) through intense interview and maybe even be vetted by another 3rd part before giving them the reigns again for Coyotes 2.0. We never want to go through the hell that was the various ownership groups.

I will dearly miss the Coyotes. This was a fail on the owners not the fans. I hope they take advantage of the open window to take care of what they need to accomplish and get a team again. Even better sell your rights to a group that will do NHL in the AZ valley justice.

The reason the local news in slc didn't report the cost of the sports entertainment district is because that was old news to us. That bill was signed well before this traction hit. Reporting it more now might rekindle local opposition that would be counterproductive at this point. Utah is cash rich and runs a surplus every year, and the proposed tax increase is for sales tax and hotel taxes, with the intention of a lot of the funding coming from outside of the state
