I'd like to introduce you to a former pencil and charcoal drawing student, Nikki Milley. She has taken two of my live Drawing Workshops and several Online Tutorials so far, and is producing some amazing work. She has come such a long way from that first class and is now conducting her own classes and Drawing Retreats. She was able to take many of the concepts and techniques I teach and use them in her Colored Pencil work as well.

I had the pleasure of sitting beside Nikki at your workshop in Boston in 2017. I could tell right away that she is a very talented and imaginative artist. Very glad to see that she has been able to make a career as an artist!

Hi Jamie, Yes. she is extremely talented. I'll be featuring more of my previous students and their accomplishments in the future. I'd like to show the before and after of the elephant drawing you did that won the award in Northern Ontario. I'll let you know when I post it. In the Realistic Drawing with Light, Texture, and Contrast, you'll learn the basic elements and techniques necessary to create realistic drawings- regardless of the subject. If you are just getting started I also recommend you get a book called "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. It will show you how to "see" like an artist. This will allow you to draw what you see and not what you THINK you see. www.jdhillberrytutorials.com
