The justice system is working fine. Trump has been found guilty in the last 4 trials and Carroll was awarded $91M for defamation, guilty of tax evasion in NY and now owes that state $465M, and found guilty on ALL 34 counts in the most recent trial. There are just a few bad actors in the system, with almost NO judicial experience and appointed by Trump.

Special Counsels were created by mere regulation issued by the Attorney General. If that move is constitutional, then an Attorney General can totally subvert the Constitution and Congress by creating various DOJ officials by mere regulation and giving them powers that equal or exceed those of U.S. Attorneys. And if that can logically happen, then the congressional requirement of Senate confirmation is rendered meaningless and regulations by the AG can effectively leave U.S. Attorneys, creatures of statute, as nullities. Indeed, here’s a bonus point - the Independent Counsel statute was allowed to expire by Congress. Allowing the AG to largely recreate that system - by regulation - therefore flouts Congress in a separate way - not just by end running how U.S. Attorneys operate and are appointed and confirmed.

Article II of the Constitution specifies the duties of the President mandating he/she “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed . . . .”. That provision coupled with the oath of office that requires the president to “…faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States” precludes any immunity from prosecution or swearing an oath that requires him to prosecute himself for the remaining 54 indicted felonies still remaining. If Justice Roberts issues DJT’s oath again, all oaths and sworn statements are merely perfunctory and can carry no penalty for violation of the sworn testament.

@@DennisM12 Innocent people would want to prove their innocent. Trump just wanted to delay, delay, delay his trials. As soon as we heard Cannon had the case, we knew it wouldn't go to trial until after the election. She is working for Trump again (still). We can and should watch the January 6th Committee Hearings if we want a reminder of some of the things Trump did to stay in power. The witnesses were all under oath just like they'd be in a trial. You can probably find videos of the attack online. Trump did nothing to stop the attack and 9 police officers died and 140 police officers were injured because of Trump and his cult. I don't need a trial to tell me that Trump is not the right person to lead the U.S. Vote Biden/Blue all the way down the ballot. Save our democracy. Then we can have the trials and let the jurors decide. Trump and his maga politicians need to be held accountable for what they did to America.

Calling this a “game” is wildly inappropriate. This is obstruction of justice at a minimum, a federal Judge providing cover for a defendant in national security matter is beyond the pale and a fundamental threat to our system of justice.

According to one colleague, Cannon had proven herself to be a capable attorney as a federal prosecutor. She moved up the ranks pretty quickly and that doesn't happen without some demonstration of competence. Bottom line, she knows exactly what she is doing. She is a magaT through and through and knows that they are the ticket to fast track to the Obscene Court, her ultimate destination. Obviously anything she can do to help Trump win the election, such as delaying his trial will stand well for her. Even when Trump is defeated in November, she will still have magaT loyalty to her credit. I passionately hope that she is made to pay for her corruption by the Florida bar or any other relevant ethics board and that her mentors that currently occupy some of the Obscene Court's benches won't be able to slither to her aid and save her!

Cannon is not playing games. 2 of her ex law clerks described her as arrogant and demeaning. She made it clear that her sole goal was the Supreme Court and Trump is her ticket to ride.

Before someone trolls you, I'll point out that no defendant has to prove their innocence. With that out of the way, what sane, rational, innocent person wouldn't take the stand in their own defense if the prosecution's case had no credible evidence? Trump does not take the stand because he's not innocent and because there is ample evidence to prove that, no matter what he says. All he can do is stand outside the courtroom and at his rallies and lie to his gullible supporters and sycophants.
