Absolutely love what you showed here - the differences; they can be seen plain as day. This demo is as you stated to start, you can actually see the differences in the 2 shafts, and your stroke stayed the same. One thing I did notice was the sound difference with the 12 being "less" than the 12.5. Definitely more "action" with the 12. In the end, it's learning to play with your choice but are you repetitive/consistent enough (strike/tip placement) to play with the smaller tip!?! Great demo Mr. D - do appreciate it!!! Be Safe

Glad to see you are doing okay champ. Fortis shaft sounds like a wood shaft. I really couldnt get used to the metalic sound of Revo when you hit the ball after 4 months of playing.

Cheers Dynamite for another quality video and review. I've just upgraded to the Cuetec cynergy and its miles better than anything I've used before, loving the carbon fibre 👍

My 2 cents...keep your wood shaft. You might find yourself going back and forth a bit. I thought I was going crazy by switching back and forth and readjusting for deflection. However, I seen another pro on tour who did the same thing. Cynergy is a very good shaft, but I sometimes find my body "sleeping" on it. I dont know why, but sometimes I start playing bad with the CF after months of using it. I check my mechanics and switch shaft and suddenly I start making balls and my position improves. I think part of the reason is that I can "feel" the wood shaft a little better. It provides me better feedback so I can adjust my stoke. Maybe you won't have this issue at all. But just in case, I'd keep the wood shaft around.

I was looking at the Becue Prime M 12.5 but in a video it had this "Tonk" sound I didn't like at all. The Tiger Fortis sounds so much better and I like the look of the shaft. I noticed on their site they have a X model that is 13mm I'm curious how it compares to the 12.5mm.

@b4ssfunk3d 11 месяцев назад
I've tried 11.75 and 12.5 and I always reach for the 12.5. Gives me much better confidence when my stroke isn't perfect and when the cue ball is pinched up on the rail and I have to confidently put a stop shot or draw on the ball I just see it easier with a 12.5. 12.5 to me is the best of both worlds, you get the precision and spin control you would never get with a 13mm but with much more forgiveness than anything less than 12mm

Hi darren, I would like to ask if you recommend using a soft or medium cue tip.
@dynamiteappleton

Soft//medium imo
@Dzusk
@Dzusk 11 месяцев назад
I am not Darren, but my coach keeps saying it's best to use Medium tip with carbon shafts. Personally, my favourite one was the soft one and I played it for a really long time (it was the Pechauer Jade S. Now I use the M version of it because I haven't had any other choice)

12.2 is the perfect middle ground. Throughout my pool life, I went from a 13, to a 11.8, to a 12.5, to a 12.2, and 12.2 is it. Never tried a 12, but I'd imagine it would feel too close to an 11.8 and the 11.8 gave me problems on long shots. Of course I'm not one of these level guys, but still. The 12.2 just feels like confidence with any shot.

I bought a Konllen Carbon Fiber from Amazon, which is the same as JFlowers. Used it for 3 weeks and returned it and went back to wood. You can do the same, but for me it was a waste of time. I can control the cue english much better with wood. Especially when using draw over 6 feet.

@alistairs8495 11 месяцев назад
I believe they're loosely referred to as American (Straight or Pro) and European (Conical) tapers. One distinction you'll hear is that the straight tapers are preferable for closed bridges.

@keykey1401 9 месяцев назад
The biggest difference is that the pro isn’t the conical

No predator anymore? I gone from predator and move to mezz….
@BillyO8828
@BillyO8828 2 месяца назад
Wait until you try the fortis or Viking seige. Haha...just kidding. I haven't tried the Fortis yet, but a couple of guys in my league has a Viking CF. Seriously, it hits better than my Cynergy. That being said, I personally like the Predator. My 2 cents: 1) Viking 2) Predator 3) Cynergy 4) Rhino then the rest from all the CF shafts I've tried so far. However, from my experiece, it's not the brand as much the contruction and preference. Most of the known brands...McDermott, Cuetec, Mezz, Predator, Fortis, etc are all good Carbon Fiber shafts. If you prefer the Mezz, you'll probably play a little better with it. But after you get a couple of good sticks, the time is much better spent on doing drills, than shopping for shafts. My conclusion, it's not the arrow, it's the Indian. We all know that already, but it's tempting to keep buying sticks, especially when you try someone else's stick and like it better.

The shaft looks good, the sound is not same as wood. Really annoing sound... Like plastic. My opinion. For me it's important I know other don't care too much about sound of the shaft.

i'll aim as if im using no english....( proceeds to aim at the very bottom of the ball) be more specific. u have to aim a certain part of the cue ball when putting english. so why are u saying youre lining up as if youre hitting center ball...
