Forza Motorsport’s New Car Upgrade System Has Been REVEALED! 

Now I can do those dumb rivals events because its hard to get a good time in the TA when the car I am using isn't tuned properly.

This fixes my biggest issue with the game, if they can continue to fix the smaller issues throughout time, I’ll be happy

It finally feels like Cxp are an addition and not something that pulls you back.

No problem with me. Buy the transmission if needed, and then grind for the rest of the parts. 👍

I love the changes but I would lower the cost for car points from 4,500 to 4,200. This would make an upgrade that was previously 104,000 become 96,000 credits. small but in my opinion improved change.

I'm not getting back into FM'23 until they improve the graphics performance on PC. I get 140 fps in FH5 and only 50 fps in FM'23.

I have 17 million credits😅😅😅 I’m loving all of this! But seems like it’ll be update 6 though. No complaints here. Seems like a healthy balance. Depending on how much the more powerful cars will cost to fully upgrade.

I am happy with this, I will probably still do the grind cause I still really like the leveling up but i will also l buy 1 to 6 car parts after each race dependingon what car i have, or should my car need immediate change to improve it then will spend credits to get the points I need to buy the parts I need. THIS IS A ABSOLUTE WIN FOR ME, IM SO HAPPY!!!! Cant wait to experiment with this in update 5.

FINALLY! Now I can stop nearly overheating my Wii U by playing on it while my Xbox is doing a afk race. thankfully i haven’t atually overheated it with it being in the same cabinet as my Xbox lol

This is so much better and I think a real good job at trying to meet both side’s expectations

This will make the game a lot better but my biggest thing is I really just want a option for a open track meet up like forza 7 had that way we could do open lobbies on lemans and Nurburgring forza 4 had that feature and it was amazing

Im having great fun drifting in different cars and tracks in freeplay then watching the replay 😊

Is there still no way to get cars you have missed from previous series like the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV for example?

If they are making the only progression in the game less progression they should at least remake career mode or put more events on it...

It’s Feb 15th and I still need to be level 25 to motor swap.. car parts arnt unlocked for a cars and i downloaded uodate last night .. what am I missing?

Hopefully another racetrack will also come in update 6

They need to fix the fact that you can’t see your vinyls in saved vinyls until you scroll 2/3 to 3/4 down your saved vinyls which makes picking vinyls very frustrating if you don’t have them grouped and labelled perfectly

I'm glad they're finally doing something. Hope they add more events and get rid of the FOMO events

So this means, I can use Car Points to tune my car to say 680, then use Credits to get it to 700 to do monthly career event/s?

What will happen when you buy all on level 1 and level up max? You still will need grind but this time credits so still beyter way will be level up for free.

Can I send a suggestion to the hub that just says "make minor updates faster." ? Suggestions hub is so important to T10 communicating that there were dozens of suggestions about how to change the car xp system to better work for everyone since the feature was showcased 9 months ago. And it took them 9 months to do anything about it. So important. SO VERY VERY CRITICALLY IMPORTANT to them and their engagement, and making that real genuine CONNECTION to their playebase.

I like it but the deal braker for me is the fact that we have no freedom. In example older gran turismo games you could plan the car you buy on the races avaible. Here one the start i have to chose a car and i have no idea if it will be usable latter. Is it a good idea to get t50 with it or should i just complete the race series and sell it? I see some problems with the new upgrade system to. For casual players it can still be limiting. I belive for the most expensive cars/uprrades you would probably need some credits grind and stuff like that. For some peoples it can be annoying. I like it personaly cause you need to work to get somthing. It simply makes sense.

Yep. Perfectly fine with this system. There were so many ways to make the system better. The initial implementation was just about the worst way they could have gone about it. The next point is the question of why we have to wait 6 weeks for this to be implemented. I realize there's a whole processes to getting things into an update (Despite those processes letting through mostly janky, if not outright broken items in past updates). But this is a deeper part of the issue with how the game is being made, that it takes such a long time to get something so minor into it. This was SPECIFCALLY mentioned as a point that should have improved with FM23 by Chris in the promotional. That the changes with the engine would allow them to make quicker adjustments and address technical aspects easier. Just another element that they are clearly falling short on what was advertised for the game. What is so technical about this feature that it shouldn't be a hotfix patch within a week of coming up with it? Any other studio could implement this kind of thing within hours. Not days, much less weeks, to over a month in this case. It's indicative of a greater issue with the way the studio works.

Hopefully it doesnt mean that it costs ridiculous amounts to upgrade either slow cars to be fast or cars with few upgrades way too much for few parts

And some variety in career mode , not just track races

They should make it so car level affects earnings kinda like how far rarity did in forza 2

When u upgrading a car u go to save it Infinitely Loads only when upgrading cars every thing else loads

Turn 10 please spend some time on making the game as competitive on the wheel as it is the pad- atm it feels like every car is front wheel drive and doesn't feel like there is anywhere near enough front end grip just constant loss of traction. I know it's only a simcade but it's pretty annoying that I have a good sim rig yet have to play this on pad online

personally I don't think that this is enough. They need to allow you to be able to buy a car and be able to fully upgrade it which is buying the parts just like in real life if u have the money for it, this is convoluted and dumb

Car Points is such an unForza thing. I can’t believe it got approved to begin with let alone take this long to be remedied. The game is still far from releasable imo and though I’m sure it will help bring some people back. This won’t save the game it’s too late.

The whole upgrade system would sound nicer with drifting being in the game and online as well. Still pass for online still only career for me.

T10 has made the game easier again though. The original upgrade method forced you to learn your car, in order to make better tunes. But, I guess everyone doesn't have all the time in the world too grind parts.

A good step in the right direction but I ain’t re-downloading till they drop a graphics update as they game still looks like shit. It’s sad really as they are spending time picking up their own shit and adding removed features instead of adding to the game.

Don't celebrate just yet Forza doesn't want to get rid of this system nor do the developers , they never gave an exact date as to when they will get rid of this horrid system which only proves they will keep trying to prolong it in hopes people will just accept it . I am calling on people to boycott the game till they completely get rid of it , as thats the only way of forcing them to do so

A good sim or sim-cade game must have a very multiplayer series because we wont to fight with other best player's. Of course single player is important, but good players wont to fight again other players not against AI

Just cause i'm a nice guy...i'll give you my feedback...on this messed up game!!! The more they fidlle with it...the more they screw it!!! Tell me....what's the point (just an example!!!!! ) of an P class series...knowing from the start...that...either you take an f1 car (from the nineties (go figure....cause they couldnt spent any more megabites...on making...say...a lotus...an honda...etc!!!! But noooo on the nineties....there where only theese two!!!)...that if you bring a hibrid p class car...or a prototype...or whatever car...you feel like bringing a knife...to a gunfigth!!!! Just a thougth!!!! Pleaaaase!!! Stop messing with an enourmous pile of shit...cause it will stink even more...the more you mess with it!!! Lost cause!!!! Will wait for automobilista to come on platforms!!! Forza...no more

I cannot wait for this update. Huge step in the right direction. I’m just hoping that replays will be fixed and actually work. On Series S the replays do not work.

They should consider adding drag race in the game

Finally, some good news, it's a shame we have to wait months for Turn 10 to fix issues that should have been solved before launch, but it's a start. This game is still in desperate need of single-player content, one extra cup per week, with 4-5 short races isn't cutting it. I can usually complete the weekly cup in a hour or two, then have nothing to do besides rivals. FM4 had hundreds of unique events that would take hundreds of not thousands of hours to complete, FM2023 has nothing. Multiplayer is fun occasionally, and Rivals is great, but my bread and butter is career/single-player. I dont understand why we dont have 50-100 permanent cups in the game with car, credit, or driver suit rewards for completing them. Then they can add the weekly cups to unlock rarer cars and spotlight new tracks. I would play this game more often if it gave me something to play for and had better AI. I still cant believe there are no single-player GT or LMP races in a Motorsport game, unless you go and create the event yourself in freeplay, we should have a permanent GT cup with several races and the final reward is a car like the C6R Corvette. I don't understand the decision to make cars a soulless grind just for player retention and average play time when all they had to do is what the older games did, give us lots of stuff to do and a rewarding feedback loop. FM3 and FM4 gave you unique rewards for completing events and had a driver rank that actually gave you cars. FM4 mastered that dopamine hit reward cycle that kept fans playing for hours consistently.

FORZA MOTORSPORT is identical to MOTORSPORT 7, except it doesn't have the all the,....cars, tracks, drifts, etc, etc,............................. It is a disgrace,...................... we're supposed to be happy, (as a MS7 owner) to be given what I've already got........................................ NEW CARS.................NEW TRACKS................. and a REFUND.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like a good 'compromise' and hopefully we'll start to see people being more 'positive' about Forza Motorsport in general, as so much work has clearly gone into it. For me, I didn't mind the so-called "grind" at all and was happy to spend time racing and upgrading as I went along, once I'd earned the CPs, and I'm glad I'll still be able to do this

I don't care about brand loyalty or levelling my car up to 50, I want to upgrade and tune my cars when I want to and how I want to pre race, not after 6 or 7 races with practice sessions. They need to concentrate on AI and the variety of races we can expect to see, fm7 was great, they just needed to polish it up a bit and bring in the RIGHT new parts to the game, the handling Vs fm7 couldn't be any different.

Genuinely doesn't affect me. I've been afking all of my cars for 2-3 months now. All E-A, X, and P class cars are level 50 for me.

Still needs a level up speed boost. It shouldn't take 2-3 hours per car. Everything else looks good tho. it taking til update 6 is way to long tho.

Now if we could just have the money flinging from horizon 5 in FM8 it's be all good, I was constantly broke or couple of mill in fm7, I want all the cars, not some of them.

I love this game even with the problems it is very good turn 10 listens to the players. This update will make a very big differents and it will give us players more joy to play it. Let's give turn a change to fix all of our problems with time. If we stay loyal to this game and turn 10 in time this game will be great for us racing fans. I'm looking forward to this update it will be lights out and race guys...

I like it. Just like real life, the rich get all the cool stuff/upgrades first while the poor have to work for it. The only thing I’d like to see is maybe increase the speed at which you gain car points but this is definitely a good first step.

So they implement a money sink to upgrade cars. Lets be honest credits aren't used for much else apart from buying cars which are cheap enough compared to other Forza games. It's a win for me.

An issue I want them to put some effort into is the race wheel mechanics. I bought a g923 specifically to play this game on and it's absolutely terrible. I understand I'm not gonna be the Greatest sim racer after a few months just jesus christ I can't turn in gt3 car without going into a wall. The snap oversteer makes it un drivable. I drove the same audi r8 gt3 car in ACC and had no issues with control. I know I could fiddle with the "advanced wheel settings" forever and get it ok eventually but why do I have to. This is the biggest racing game franchise of all time I shouldn't be the one perfecting all the settings. There should be at the very least a preset for the 923 or wheel presets in general, like in project cars or acc or dirt. Even then I could understand if I had some high end moza or fanitec wheel but, THIS IS A WHEEL SPECIFICALLY FOR THE XBOX. On top of that ur practically forced to drive in 3rd person so you can actually see the other drivers around you, especially online. The pointers from fm6 don't work anymore. This game is genuinely so awful in my opinion that it makes starfeild look like a work of art. I cannot express my disappointment after wating 6 years for this "built from the ground up" game.
