These are the official lyrics! They can be found on the Japanese CD release of the album, "Cassius Clay's Pearly Whites" was a bonus track on that release. Enjoy! [Intro] I said, put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us [Verse 1] Round 6, I smoked a nebula and leveled up Just ring the bell, knocked him from the heavens into hell (Intergalactic triad killer) Eyes opened up like Christmas Kicking fits and foaming at the mouth, just like a drunken Orson Welles (You big sucka, I got you now) Kick back, stick a move, the ones or two's will always tell the truth The new Moses parting rooms full of laughter I rock a black tie like a 1960s massacre [Bridge] (Extra, extra, you can read all about it) [Outro] I ain't got no quarrel with no Viet Cong Dodge the draft like an upper cut, strip the title, snap the cuffs Yeah, I called the bluff on all you racist mother (and I won) I said, put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Put it back, get on the vibe with us Float like butterfly, sting like an army Float like butterfly, sting like an army
This song is about Muhammad Ali. His name before he changed it was Cassius Clay and he had pearly white shoes he’d wear while fighting. This song is basically about his life and overcoming obstacles hence the quote at the end “fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee” :) you’re welcome
I really hope that in the future, they release a compilation with all their unreleased songs/or special tracks that were not in the original album on iTunes, such as Ruby, Chin Music For The Unsuspecting Hero, Love, Tabloid Super Junkie and Cassius Clay Pearly White cuz tbh, those are some of their best songs, I know they want to do something special for the fans outside the country or that pre ordered bu there are many other fans around the world, not fair.
They were hands down one of the best concert experiences I had, super high energy and given the timing after the las Vegas mass shooting every one was on edge and they just made the vibe so upbeat and happy.
I hope that they do something like they did for Torches X with Supermodel and include this, Tabloid Super Junkie and the Unforeseeable Fate of Mr Jones. I just want them on my spotify like the torches bonuses lol
@@glenna_ingle9246 to be fair, Unforeseeable wasn't complete by the time Supermodel came out. Angelic Welcome was the preview, they released Unforeseeable on BitTorrent iirc. but yeah, i dont get why they can't release Unforeseeable And Tabloid. Cassius i maybe get because of a licensing agreement maybe, as it was a japan exclusive, but Unforeseeable and Tabloid dont really have an excuse. same for the extended version of Best Friend.
I mean the third album should be a surprise. Nothing really sounds the same with FTP. They can create so much good creative talented music and do so much. Looking forward to the third album
Thats what i'm confused about. It has the name of muhammed ali, has chorus lyrics that make no sense, a rap part, references to the vietnam war (muhammed ali is related to that one), and the weird laugh loop 2/3 of the way through. After all of that i still find that this song is great.
Mark foster Fan That's true. It is kind of like Mark is obsessed with that laughing sound. I was listening to lyrics closely other day, they are so broken that i felt like they tried writing song like Don't stop and put rap on it.
Yes! I was watching an interview with Mark Foster and he said that he's basing their next record on hip hop and r&b vibes and stuff, definitely looking forward to it!
GravityTheGhost hey so I've been looking for quite a while for this darn video haha and I can't seem to find it, I'll keep my eye out for it and I'll try my best to send you the link :)
Surprisingly, i really enjoy this song along with every FTP song lol .. so i guess its actually not that much of a surprise. oh and Cassius Clay is Muhammed Ali's real name.. just an fyi. pretty interesting stuff.
Put it back in on the vine with her system 8x I'm sick, I've smoken up bud and leveled up Just ring that bell up from the heavens into hell (Intergalactic triad killer) Eyes opened up like Christmas Escaping bits, foaming out your mouth just like a drunken wizard (you big sucker, I've got you now) Kicked back, stick a move one's a tooth you always know the truth. The new Moses part, room is full of laughter I rock a black attire like a 1960's master. Extra Extra you can read all about it I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong Trance like a demigod Stripped the title, snapped the cross May I call the bluffing all you racist mother (whaaaat) Put it back in on the vine with her system 8x Float like a butterfly sting like a bee Float like a butterfly sting like a bee
Wait the part where it says: "I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong" The following line "trance like a demigod" is wrong it's actually: "I aint got no quarrel with them Viet Cong" Dying to dodge the draft like an uppercut
Mrahta Mrahta hey do you like 2dcc?,you've got the "gameshow" album in your photo i'll be uploading the 2dcc all songs in my channel. now i'm uploading bonnus tracks.
***** I think you meant 'This is pretty cool, sounds different from their other songs' if you write the sentence like you did people will misunderstand you which will lead to an internet war.

I can appreciate Foster's effort in this. You can tell right off the bat that they attempted a new sound with a very different atmosphere with this piece. This most likely explains the fact of why they left this one off the album. It's a good piece, but seemingly lacked real effort.
