@@Teysik respect brother, I’m not doing a swap just first time even building a engine Ge vvti(Manley h beam/ cp pistons/ acl race bearings, gte gasket my dumbass didn’t realize I dropped compression. going in my 98 gs. Have had 3 studs break and gone back to the machine shop 3 times, and had to pull my rotating assembly apart because I didn’t have a line hone with arp main studs when I had my block machined the first time all self taught and I’m working with what I got last time a bolt went loose I wanted to call it quits not ganna lie..will be going stand-alone and trying to grind out t56..
Bro easy fix to all that is a stand alone ecu with wiring harness No maf will be running the car like a dream and you will run on map sensor and intake temp sensor I will recommend you link monsoon ecu and there is rally style antilag system option aswell Plus you can run nissan gtr35 coils
Sure that’s the easy way. But Ecu and a tune will be a minimum of $2500. I’m not made of money haha. I do want to put it on a link ecu eventually, but I really want to try to make this work just so I can show other people that there is a more affordable option
nice diagnosis, i would suggest you connect an obd connecter you will only need 3 wires power, ground and 1 wire from the ecu i think its mentioned in the pinout as (sil).. you could view live data and also check for any errors that may be related to the problem you're experiencing.. good luck
I do have an obdii connector that is working. The problem is there is limited support for the JDM ecu that I am using, and I’m not getting any codes related to the issue
hi mate, im looking to go down this rd re the vvti head on non vvti block. i have everything now jus not the time lol. i at present have a supra ge non vvti on stand alone link question is is there good value in going vvti head on my non vvti setup
If your current setup works well then I wouldn’t bother changing it. If your going turbo, you may have to delete the distributor for space for the turbo, so then it might be worth switching to vvti head
