I appreciate the love and respect you have for these majestic creatures we chose as our past time. This will be my second year on the Ohio river and I am hoping to step up the fish. I am having trouble finding good holes from the bank and trouble learning my navionics. I have a lot to learn and I’m ready for some hogs ❤
Awesome video always full of knowledge I definitely appreciate you sharing it with us and your honesty qualities that are hard to find in this world today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video looks like the new reels are nice are they releasing your new rod with the new reel I saw in a previous video a color not available good luck on the colder weather
Awsum job brother! The bigger bite is just getting good and Mother Nature wants to throw us a curve ball lol I’m dealing with the same front here the rest of the week. Enjoyed it my friend 👍
Awesome video man. Just so you know, a channel cat like that is what I target here in SC. Make for some good eating. I understand you can't eat them there but if you watch some of Spencer's taste tests, channels are one of the best eaters.. Of course I would rather have the SC state record.😂 A 94 pounder was caught 2 weeks ago in one of my spots. But you already know that. Hope you catch a125 pounder this year.
Thank you. Well it's not that I hate channels or anything it's just that they tear up the bait and hardly ever hook the. And when I run into a school of them it's hard to keep baits out. Plus they don't get big lol. Still fun to catch when they get hooked up.
22 # channel I want to fish for trophy channels like that. I am Dien to hit the Sandusky bay and give some world class channels a chance. My passion is chasing big flat heads in the western nc east tn and souther va rivers.
Great video. New subscriber here. Can I ask what are those big metal looking things and those long wormy looking things that are up your line from your hook? I've never fished for Blue cats before. Just channels.
Well thank you for the sub I appreciate that. The metal thing I'm thinking your asking about is my planer boards. They help spread the lines apart to cover more water. The wormy things are my dragging weights. They are made like that to help with not getting snagged so much on the bottom.
Well, thank you for explaining that. It makes a lot of sense now. I've always been a bank fisherman. So I guess that's why I never heard of them before. Love your videos though. You're very pleasant to watch.
Darrenangle, it's a dragging rig. Basically a "santee" rig with slinky dragging weights. Seems like everyone has their own twist on the rig, with their own style of float, beads, rattle and hook.
Couple nice fish in this video. Reels look decent. Speaking of the river flow, what app or website do you use to determine release times, water levels etc. I know sometimes I get surprised when the website info isn’t accurate or power companies just start releasing water to generate when demand dictates. 👍🏻
Nice that fish was huge makes you Wonder how big they get i live in missippi last year we got a new state record 130 pounds are old state record was 95
